Describe your activity on the server:
I would say I’m very active on the server. On weekdays I’m less active due to school, so I’m only on for about 3 to 7 hours. Although on weekends I’m able to be much more active and generally get on from anywhere between 5 to 10 hours. At the moment, most of free time is spent on SRP when possible so my activity should not be an issue as I’m on the server every day. As I’ll also mention later on, I’m relatively new to SRP compared to most players, seeing as I only started playing in September 2021.
Which timezone are you in?
My timezone is EST.

What is your motivation for applying?:
I have several reasons for deciding to apply now, so my apologies if this section in particular comes off as long and a bit jumbled. First and foremost, ever since I joined the server, working for the Police Department has always seemed like the best job available to me. I believe as though my skills and talents would make me well suited for working the position, and as I’ll mention towards the end of this application, I’ve been holding off from applying for a while. I’d love nothing more than being able to do this job in-game. I'm determined to work this position even if it takes a while and a lot of effort. But, I’m also applying so I can gain more experience with different positions in the server, since the only job I’ve had up to this point is working as a cashier at Sayonara. I want to transition into working official jobs, such as becoming an Officer. I have an abundant amount of time that I can put towards this position, considering this is my only account and I have no other jobs to worry about. Plus, I’d like to expand the type of roleplays I engage in within the server and do something more productive. As much as I enjoy SRP, I've been getting a bit bored recently with nothing to do and I'd like to find something to keep my activity up. I may lack in seniority compared to other players, but I'm confident my drive can make up for that, and as a newer player I can bring a different perspective to KPD.
Lastly, in real life police work is probably my biggest interest, and Criminal Justice is even what I’m going to college for this upcoming year. I’ve always been enthralled in true crime and forensics, and have taken it upon myself to learn about all areas of it by studying real life cases, laws, and how Criminal Justice differs from country to country all because I find it fascinating. I know it’s not exactly the same, but I believe the tasks and duties of KPD are something I’d enjoy doing, and would excel at allowing me to help the KPD as a whole since it’s my area of interest. I’m a motivated, active, and mature person, and I’m fully prepared to spend the time needed to study, take notes, and do any other possible thing that may be needed to be successful within this position.
Do you understand Japanese Laws and Basic Conduct?
I would say I do have a decent understanding of Japanese Laws and Basic conduct, it’s actually something we studied a bit ago for one of my school classes since I currently take a few different Criminal Justice related classes, but I also have studied it on my own beforehand due to my personal interests. Anything I'm unaware of, I'd be more than willing to learn on my own.
The Japanese Criminal Justice is relatively similar to other Criminal Justice systems throughout the world, as expected the same crimes like murder, assault, kidnapping, etc are all charges within this system as well. Innocent till proven guilty and where the burden of proof lies with the prosecutor are also factors that hold true in Japan, tying Criminal Law and Criminal Justice together in that aspect. Touching more on what things are considered crimes, things such as breaking and entering and maintaining possession of illegal weapons are also heavily policed. These actions are just as common in SRP as they are in real life police work in Japan. Of course, there's countless other offenses as well that are considered crimes, each with their own set of consequences for such violation.
What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
To start off, in both real life and even roleplay there’s several factors all individuals of the force must display to keep up with their job. It’s not a job where you can simply shrug off your duties and expect them to get done, being determined, hard-working, and vigilant are the keys to doing the job efficiently and quickly. I am well aware of the duties Law Enforcement take on in real life, since it’s going to be my chosen career path. In SRP, KPD also has many duties they must perform on a daily basis. As I mentioned before, I'm currently taking classes irl in school such as Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Forensics as well, so I have a wide area of knowledge for police work as a whole.
As for what KPD does on the server, there's too many things to list. The daily job of an officer may range from accepting bails and payment of fines, to answering calls made to the stations number. Performing arrests, monitoring CCTV, patrolling, and investigating murders and other such crimes are also duties of KPD. For every duty you must perform, there's a protocol and set of rules to go along with it that must be followed at all times. Outside of all these jobs, it's also important to work with your fellow Officers so these tasks can be completed efficiently, and properly. There's no room to try and rush assignments, nor complete them in an improper manner. To avoid over-explaining in this section, to wrap it up I’m confident that I know a decent bit about police work in game at least from an outsiders perspective, and I'd be willing and eager to learn more about the duties when I'm able to.
Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
Like any normal city, there’s a lot of crime in Karakura from black market dealing to gang related crimes. KPD is needed to keep a sense of order within the server and roleplaying, without them there’d be a lot more chaos and innocent people getting hurt. It may seem like I keep repeating myself, but I understand that Law Enforcement is vital to the server, keeping everything in check to ensure Karakura isn’t an environment where crime is running rampant. This way within roleplay criminals cannot simply be free of their actions, they have to face the consequences of their crimes and be wary of any further actions. KPD may additionally work with other factions, assisting in many different ways to quell fear by helping take over dangerous situations, escort criminals, or even assisting with court cases.
Do you acknowledge that you're subject to being demoted if accepted at any given time?
Yes, I do acknowledge this. I understand being demoted may happen at any time for a number of reasons. If I am demoted, I won’t complain and I’ll remain respectful while dealing with it.
Do you acknowledge that applying for this role, you are agreeing to be 100% dedicated to the Police Officer role?
Yes, and I accept this. I’m aware and have been warned by friends that while in KPD you’re expected to dedicate a lot of time and effort towards the position. I can guarantee I will be as active as I possibly can be, I do not wish to waste anyone’s time nor take a spot that could’ve gone to someone else. This is a position I'm certain I want to pursue.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are authorised to attend or you will be punished?
Yes, I acknowledge this, I will never deliberately miss a training. As soon as I’m aware there’s one going on I will make it my priority to get there, even if I’m offline at the time it’s announced.
Do you acknowledge that you’re subject to IC harassment, and you are NOT to take things OOCly when dealing with training & situations?
Yes, I acknowledge this. I promise to never take any IC situations into OOC, no matter what may happen. I understand that especially in this line of work, IC matters can get quite heated and spark a lot of outrage. I am fully prepared to deal with this in a mature and proper way, as I’m aware this is one of SRP’s major rules

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
Sasha Vasylenko is a 28 year old male, he’d be somewhat pale and have a rather lean build but stand at 6’10 in height. His height is enough to make him stand out in a crowd, coming from both his parents who are also extremely tall. His hair is naturally a light blond color, which he now neatly keeps in a short and straight style just barely coming down on to his neck, along with his pale blue eyes. On the left side of his face and neck, several faded scars would be noticeable which had originally resulted from a childhood incident, although it's difficult to notice unless you look closely, since he styles his hair in a way to keep parts of it covered as best as possible. His face would always be clean shaven, never letting any facial hair grow. He'd have defined cheekbones, and slight eyebags as he's often unable to get a good nights sleep.
Sasha would also carry an unmistakable voice, mostly due to his small Ukrainian accent. He’d speak softly in a moderate tone, yet could raise his voice to a powerful level in an instant if need be. While not working, his attire would consist of simple clothing such as button-ups and dark colored pants, nothing to draw attention to him. Occasionally, Sasha wears a necklace with a pendant of the Star of David tucked beneath his shirt. There’d be no special scent coming from Sasha as he frequently showers, which would be obvious upon first glance as he presents himself in a tidy manner. It would be difficult for most to tell how Sasha was feeling, or thinking. He prides himself on being able to keep a neutral expression and conceal his emotion, so others are unable to make judgements about him. However, he will let his guard down around those he trusts and knows well.
What they're like on and off the job?
While working, Sasha always strives to be an exemplary Officer. In general he’s an extremely level-headed individual and is not easily riled by stressful situations. Though he’s more than willing to work as a team, he’s not the most talkative person and prefers to intently listen to others. It may not be obvious to those who first meet him, but he can be rather stubborn and intensely determined to get the job done, and refuses to give up. Even with his quiet demeanor he remains polite to everyone, even those who aren’t fond of him while working. While his fierce loyalty and determination may be good characteristics for a police officer, he’s more concerned with making sure Karakura’s citizens and his coworkers are safe before himself, but he's not a reckless man nor will he ever go through with a rash or poor decision especially while in a dire situation.
While off the job, these days Sasha is not too much different than how he acts while working. Taking on such an important position has somewhat hardened him and made him even more mature. He has a strict moral code he abides by at all times, and he often stresses about work even at home, but while he’s surrounded with his friends and family he’s able to unwind and have some fun. He’ll most often spend time with his fiance, and simply talk about random things like they usually do. His personality has mellowed out over the years, but still has a flair for being dramatic and joking around when comfortable. He doesn’t have many hobbies, though while in town he remains vigilant and tries his best to assist those who may need it because that’s just the type of person he is.
Outlook on their co-workers? Plans for the future?
Sasha has a deep respect for all his coworkers, even those he’s not well acquainted with. He finds it admirable they’re all willing to put their life on the line while working, and is impressed with the amount of time and dedication they all put forth. While he likes working on his own, he also enjoys taking on assignments with other people and assisting anyone who may need his help. Sasha will also go out of his way to assist his coworkers in any way possible, whether they’re new to the force or have been around for much longer than him. As he's grown older, he's tried to push himself out of his comfort zone in order to get to know more people. Because of this, Sasha makes an effort to get to know his fellow officers, even if it's somewhat awkward to break into conversation.
In the future, Sasha would like to continue his career within KPD, continuing to do what he already does. He has a strong desire to do good in the city of Karakura by assisting citizens who need help and enforcing the law upon those who seek to do harm. How dangerous the job is has never been a concern to him, since he’s confident in his own abilities and those of Law Enforcement. In his personal life, the only thing Sasha would like to eventually do is get married to his partner. He’s content with the way his life currently is, though meeting more people he could grow close to would also be nice, since as mentioned before he's been more of an introvert when it comes to platonic relationships.
BACKSTORY
Early life:
Sasha Mikailovich Vasylenko was born unto his parents on a frigid day, December 7th to be exact. He was born in his family’s home located in the city of Donetsk within Ukraine. His father specifically was heavily involved in crime, frequently engaging in illegal activities since that’s how their family was able to become so wealthy, a “business” handed down from generation to generation. From an early age, this blunt exposure to crime is what first developed a desire in Sasha to pursue Law Enforcement later in life. His parents expected nothing but the best from Sasha, and pushed him to excel in everything he did. Their unrelenting pressure ultimately did more harm than good, as they were not very supportive parents. For the majority of his life he grew up home-schooled, and didn’t socialize much with others.
As the years went by, Sasha began to slip up. The stress of trying to be a golden child while coupled with the disdain he harbored for his family and their reputation resulted in him beginning to act out. His newfound attitude only beckoned anger and disappointment from his parents, who couldn’t possibly fathom why their own son would want to break away from them. Sasha also blamed his parents for the death of his older brother, who played a huge part in raising him from the time he was just a baby. Although luckily for Sasha, his parents came to the collective agreement that it’d be better if Sasha continued schooling somewhere else due to his behavior and the political climate/violence going on in Ukraine and the time. And with this, Sasha was sent to live in Karakura Japan at the age of 16.
Moving to Karakura:
Upon moving, Sasha was utterly alone with no clue what to do in life. Even though he was relieved to finally be away from his family, he had no one to turn to in a completely new environment. His inexperience with socializing initially made it difficult for him to meet new people. Growing up in such an uncaring environment had lasting effects on Sasha, and even after moving he’d get into an occasional fight every now and then. He did maintain a good reputation throughout his educational career, staying away from any kind of crime to avoid being arrested and mostly kept to himself. During this time he learned how to live alone and be self-sufficient, since he could only count on himself, but for a long time he was still stuck in the past and kept his emotions bottled up.
It wasn’t until he met his current group of friends/family that he was able to refocus his life, and move on from the one he had previously lived. Meeting those he could count on to support him and grow close to lead him to pouring all of his effort into school. While he wasn’t sure exactly what he wanted to do yet, he did know his goal at the moment was to get into college. Once exams came around, his hopes came true and Sasha was accepted into college. His somewhat reckless teen years had come to an end, and was starting to become a more mature man, one more akin to the person he is today.
College:
By the time Sasha was well into college, his personality had morphed into what it currently is now. Cutting off all contact from his family in Ukraine, he knew he planned on staying in Karakura for the rest of his life. He no longer felt like the family he was born into could deter his success in life, and by reflecting back on that he knew he wanted to get into Law Enforcement after successfully completing college. His determination to pursue this career is what would keep him going, as he knew this was the only thing he wanted to do with his life and in a way try to make up for the wrong-doings he witnessed his own family doing growing up. Over the years he had developed a strong moral code, and an intense personal opposition towards crime in general, which also lead to his decision to pursue a career in Law Enforcement. From that moment on, he spent a great deal of time focusing on studying and honing his skills for such goal. Graduating with double majors in Criminal Justice and Criminology and minors to boot, he’d proceed to train for two years until he was fully ready to take on the job.

Additional notes:
I know this isn’t a part of the required format, but there are some things I’d like to add. I haven’t been playing on the server quite as long as most people applying have been, I only started in late September of 2021. Even though I’ve been extremely active since I started playing, I’ve been holding off from applying because I know my lack of time on the server can affect my chances of being accepted, and people more experienced than I will apply. Lastly, I’m not really sure why I ever applied for BMD considering I have no GangRP experience nor have I ever even applied to/been in a gang (Application was also done through a forum conversation so I'm unable to link it). Despite this, I am determined to be accepted into KPD, even if it takes a bit of time and reapplying. If there’s any additional questions I’m always available on discord to chat.
