Do you understand that most answers are found in the roleplay documents?: I understand.
Describe your activity on the server: I've been active lately, but stopped being active earlier this year when school tests started.
Do you have TeamSpeak3? I do.
Do you have a microphone? Yes.
List your current and past applications: N/A
What is your motivation for applying?: My motivation for applying is that I would love to be a teacher in real life, and instead of waiting for those years to come, I get to slightly live out being a teacher right now. I think it'll be a good experience for me, making sure those abide by rules.
Have you read the megathread for Teachers? Yes.
Have you read https://schoolrp.net/index.php?threads/teacher-code-of-conduct.1038/ ? Yes.
Have you read https://schoolrp.net/index.php?threads/faculty-handbook.1981/ ? Yes.
You want to start a school field trip, what would you do?
To start a school field trip, I will go to the principal and give they/them my idea for the field trip. Once or if the trip is allowed and within budget, we will start planning it.
I would give subtle hints to my students, but not give it away, just in case something unexpected happens and the trip wont go on. 2-4 weeks prior to the school trip, (depending on how much it'll cost, and where we'll be going) I will hand out school trip forms, and a list of things needed for the trip.
The pupils on benefits will get a different note, with a lower price for the trip. I would then, with a smile, hype up the pupils for the next few weeks until the trip happens.
As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class:
No chewing gum-
No skirts or shorts shorter than the pointer finger when standing up straight, hands by side-
No talking over others.-
When in group work, use your quiet indoor voices.-
No mobile devices to be used in class- including mp3's, non school iPads, mobile phones must be switched off or on silent.-
Speak when spoken to.-
No interruptions.-
Summarize your previous experience (both in general and teacher wise): In general, I've always loved school, and I've loved the thought of one day being able to teach people what I once learned myself. Other than that, I haven't had much experience.
List the ranks of teachers, starting from the bottom leading to the top:
*Trainee
*NQT(Newly-Qualified-Teacher)
*QTLS(Qualified-Teacher-And-Learning-Skills)
*HD(Head-Of-Department)
Have you read & understood the megathread that is in Roleplay Documents > Teachers? I've read and understood the megathread.
From your perspective as of right now, identify one thing you would change about the Teacher Group. Why would you change that?
The one thing I would change, is that there would be atleast 2 classes going on at once, or a class and a club. Whenever i've tried to get into a class, there would never be enough chairs and pupils would end up sitting on the floor, which is unrealistic.
KNOWLEDGE
Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose to they serve, what salary they get. Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general.
A teacher's purpose in this world is to educate children from the ages of 4-18 and prepare them for adulthood.
A teacher's yearly salary is £48,269.
My ideal teacher would treat the students with respect, but unfortunately that is not always the case. They would respect and be treated with respect. They wouldn't favor students, punish without witnesses, publicly humiliate the pupils or harass them.
The way teachers teach is important. They would meet the needs of the 3 different kinds of learners, (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic.) Teachers would engage the pupils in the subject and make it exciting.
Teachers are like every other person in this world. They may not go out as much as other people, but they do things alot of other people do. People seem to think they've never had a life before. Sure you wouldn't see Mr. John partying away in a nightclub, but he was just like everyone else and still is.
Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server:
Teachers make up SchoolRP, without the teachers SchoolRP wouldn't be a school. Teachers are there to engage the students into roleplay, and hopefully actually teach them things they wouldn't pay attention to in Real-Life class.
Describe the ranking system of teachers:
Trainee | (Trainee)
When you're a trainee, you are not allowed to start a class, and you're not assigned to work for any other teacher. You would ask if you could spectate a teacher's lesson in progress, and take notes on how the lessons work.
Newly Qualified Teacher | (NQT)
When a NQT, you are now able to start a lesson, but first you check in the roleplay documents to see what you should do first. You do not have to follow the lesson plans by the book, but you must cover some of the key parts mentioned in there. You are still controlled by the higher ups and not allowed to take in trainees to watch your classes.
Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills | (QTLS)
Now you have permission to start classes whenever you need, but you should still discuss it with other teachers before doing so. You can't train the trainees, but they can watch your classes.
Head of Department | (HD)
When a HD, you plan the lesson plans. Also to be a HD you provide leadership and create enthusiasm for teaching among members of the department, you help develop team work and balance the strengths of individuals, allocating responsibilities as appropriate.
What lesson planning system does the school work on?:
Must Have, Could Have, Should Have.
alternative answer
First you make a learning objective.
Then you plan your introduction, plan specific learning activities, develop a conclusion, then after, create a timeline.
CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. How does he look like? What makes him unique and different? What is his outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is his personality like? What is his plan for the future?
Hoseok D'Romano currently has bleached peachy hair, but dyes it way too much. he has dark brown eyes. He's 6'0, and has a thin build, not fully recovered-- He's always had a positive outlook on life and school, and excelled in his studies. His strongest subject was language arts, although it was never his favourite.
Hes always easily made friends with people, and never had trouble starting up a conversation with someone new. His way of living his life was unique, not exactly being a rulebreaker, but not always abiding by the ways people wanted him to live. Him and his younger sister were put up for adoption when younger, to this day, still not knowing why, and after were adopted by a loving family, who then moved to Japan for the father's job.
He loves his students alot, He talks to them casually, often asking in class what they did during the weekend, or afterschool. It makes him incredibly happy to see other people smile because of him.
Hoseok easily made friends with the other teachers, joking about trading troublemaking students for the ones who don't break rules with eachother. They would help eachother with making up tests, and joke alot together.
Hes bright and bubbly, but has alot to hide. You can often find him saying hi to people walking by him in the corridors, asking about how the student's day was.
His plan is to be a HD. He wants the power and privilege to be able to control the other teachers, and teach the trainees.
SCENARIOS
You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?:
" Now now, kiddos, that's not the right language we use here, right? " Mr D'Romano tuts, smiling unthreateningly at the students. " How about we stop that right now?"
If the delinquents carry on, Hoseok would ask them if they wanted a detention. If they still carry on, they would be punished with a detention.
No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?
" Right, I can sit here all day and you will too, if you don't stop this. If I count to 5, and no one is quiet and sitting down, facing the board, there'll be a detention for every one of you. " Mr D'Romano frowns at his usually excellent class, who are unexpectedly chatty today.
Hoseok never shouts at his students, because he thinks it'll do no good, and that they should be treated the way Hoseok wants to be treated.
When in a teacher lounge, how does your character act?
Hoseok is casual in the teachers lounge, often smiling and chatting to the other teachers, sipping a cup of tea (as coffee is too bitter) and planning his next lesson.
Provide at least 5 detailed /me's of your character inside a classroom.
Mr D'Romano smiles softly at the class, his flask of tea in hand.
He looks over a student's shoulder at their work, and smiles approvingly. "Good job, ____, thats an astounding answer."
Mr D'Romano stands beside the board, waiting patiently for the students to raise their hand to ask questions.
He applauds the students, raising his hands in the air "You all did amazing on this week's test- This is the best class I've taught, you all are amazing!"
Mr D'Romano frowns at the pupil's question. "It's unfair to release test results of everyone. And I don't want you to be sharing your answers in this class either, okay?"
BACKSTORY
When Hoseok was 4, his two little sisters at the young age of 2, they were put into a foster home. Unfortunately, Only Hoseok and Ariana (the older of the set of twins) were adopted. Hoseok can't remember much, the only thing he remembers is holding the crying Ariana when she was separated from her twin sister. He grew up in a loving wealthy environment, never being bullied, and quite happy to be moving to Japan when he was 10.
In highschool, his inspiration was his geography teacher, who always encouraged Hoseok to do his best. Hoseok excelled in Language Arts and Geography, because of all the praise he got.
Hoseok went to study in South Korea for 2 years with his sister, before coming back home. He got perfect test scores in his Korean school.
Then his life had a slight bump. Hoseok developed severe anxiety of getting things wrong, nobody but his adoptive mother knew. To this day, he takes anxiety pills, which numb him from feeling anything, not doing anything but acting happy. Nobody knows what else lies underneath Hoseok's seemingly perfect character. His geography teacher passed away in Hoseok's senior year, and apart of his will, was for Hoseok to go to college and take his place, so that's what Hoseok did. He worked hard in college, never getting enough sleep, hardly eating, always getting perfect scores. He became anemic and developed anorexia without even knowing. But in the end, Hoseok finally finished his course, weak, bones brittle. As soon as Ariana saw him, she dragged him to a counselor, and then Hoseok's bad period in his life started to get better. He stayed in college for a few more years, mainly trying to get more things for his resume, and taking his pills everyday before eventually leaving college to go make his dreams come true, moving into a small studio apartment.
He was reading the newspaper, when he found that a local school needed staff. Hoseok gathered up his courage, and went to apply immediately.
