Describe your activity on the server:
I play as a high school student,12th grade ; Sephtis Kirishiki. This is my alt account that I use which is recently new. I actively play on a daily basis unless I’m busy or on a break from srp. My high school student is in a gang therefore if I ever take a break I'm well aware of putting in an inactivity. I'm also well aware of SRP rules as in gangrp you kind of have to understand them to do it correctly. If I had to describe my activity in numbers, I would say about 8/10. Ranging from 5 - 12 hours a day.

What is your timezone?:
PST

List your current and past applications:
Italian Application [Accepted]
Russian Application [Accepted]

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
I’ve been aware of SRP’s existence for about three years but I didn’t truly become an active player till the last year or two. I'm a constant player who’s had a job, goes to school and is also in a gang (I’m aware I can’t gangrp as an ems, teacher, etc.) On the side my character has friends and family along with relationships to keep up with. I'm very aware of a lot of roleplay scenarios as my character's life is very hectic.

What is your motivation for applying?
I’m motivated to apply because I want to do more than just a high school student who is in a gang (literally every SRP player). I’ve had multiple friends who were in factions such as a governor, lawyer, EMS, reporter and faculty. They’ve always talked about how being in a faction is so much fun. On top of that, it would be nice to get to experience more than just what I usually do. Stepping out of my comfort-zone is something I normally don’t do but I’ve always wanted to. I’ve once thought about applying as a teacher as well. I just never really applied for it because I doubted myself but I have gotten over the fear of potentially not being accepted, at the end of the day, this is a Minecraft game.

Which role are you applying for?
(Surgeon, Doctor, or Psychiatrist):

I am applying for Psychiatrist.

What knowledge do you have of Hospital Work?
Most of my knowledge is OOC rather than IC, but I'm willing to learn more IC.

Doctor ; One of the three main hospital departments on SRP currently. The hospital would be chaotic without them. Different doctors offer different things for different problems such as : diseases, hearing, eyes, etc. There's usually specific kinds of doctors with different treatments for every part of the body. Down below is a list of different jobs for doctors available. While some fall under their own category or count as a completely different role (such as a surgeon) they are under the same branch doctor.

Family physicians - A doctor who treats the members of a family : a doctor who provides general medical care for people of all ages. One of the most well known of all the different types of doctors, diagnose and treat diseases / injuries within the general population. They are the first point of contact for patients in the health care system and may refer patients to specialists when needed.

Internists - A physician who diagnoses and performs non-surgical treatment of diseases and injuries of internal organ systems, such as heart disease or diabetes. Internists treat a wide range of diseases of the internal organs and provide care mainly for adults. While an internist specializes in the care and treatment of only adults.

Emergency physician - Physicians who specialize in emergency medicine. They’re quick-thinking providers able to swiftly address life-threatening or emergent situations. Emergency physicians work fast to conduct evaluation, make diagnoses, and stabilize patients. These practitioners work with incredible diverse arrays of patients and conditions. They can work primarily in the emergency departments or emergency rooms (ER).

Obstetricians and gynecologists - Provide medical care relating to female reproductive systems. These types of physicians diagnose and treat diseases as well as also provide care related to pregnancy and childbirth.

Neurologists - Physicians who diagnose and treat diseases of the nervous system such as the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, muscles, and blood vessels. Much of neurology is consultative as neurologists treat patients suffering from strokes, Alzheimer’s disease, seizure disorders, and spinal cord disorders.

Pediatricians - Physicians who diagnose and treat a wide array of diseases and injuries in children, adolescents, and babies. Pediatricians practice preventive medicine and also diagnose common childhood diseases, such as asthma, allergies, and croup. They may work as a primary care provider or narrow their scope of practice in a sub-specialty. They also provide referrals to other specialists as needed.

Otolaryngologist - A doctor who has special training in diagnosing and treating diseases of the nose, throat and ears. Caring for everyone from newborns to the elderly. Otolaryngologists are trained in the medical and surgical treatment of hearing loss, ear infections, balance disorders, ear noise (tinnitus), nerve pain, and facial and cranial nerve disorders. They also manage congenital (birth) disorders of the outer and inner ear.

Orthopedist - A medical provider who specializes in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases / injuries that affect the musculoskeletal system (bones, muscles, joints, etc.) An orthopedist is also known as an orthopedic doctor, orthopedic physician, or orthopedic surgeon. (Orthopedic surgeons also diagnose, treat and prevent musculoskeletal problems, but they can perform surgery when necessary.)

Surgeon - A surgeon is a doctor who specializes in evaluating / treating conditions that may require surgery, or physically changing the human body. Surgeries can be done to diagnose, treat disease, or injury. In the operating room, surgeons lead a team of other doctors and nurses to make sure that a procedure runs smoothly.

Psychologists / Psychiatrists - Both can provide psychotherapy however, most psychiatrists treat patients primarily by prescribing medication, while psychologists mostly rely on providing talk or behavioral therapy. The difference between a the****** and a psychiatrist is that a the****** is a licensed counselor / psychologist who can use verbal therapy to help treat mental health symptoms such as how to manage stress and relationships. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who can diagnose and prescribe medication to treat those with mental health disorders.

SRP Hospital Hierarchy

Hospital Director

The one that runs the hospital, the brains of the game. They’re responsible for hiring people as well as managing the department leads. The director works alongside senior staff to determine policies and objectives. They are also in charge of giving punishment if errors are made.

Clinical Lead/Management
Clinical lead / management has similar tasks to the hospital director. They are also in charge of management, and their role is to make sure of the hospital’s running smoothly alongside their departments (the lead is responsible for the more complex situations.) Being directly under the hospital director in the hierarchy, their role is just as important as the director. They are in charge when the director isn’t around, often supervising training or (new) staff.

Head Surgeon / Doctor / Psychiatrist
Surgeon - the head surgeon is in charge of the more heavy duty surgeries such as transplants, etc. They make the final decision

Doctor - Similar to a surgeon, they make the final decision. It's not as risky but if one messes up, it could ruin a patient's health more and the position of their job.

Psychiatrist - They assign duties to each psychiatrist as well as store data on certain mental illnesses / diseases such as anxiety, depression etc.

Attending
The employees that are now part of one of the three positions. They no longer require training and are free to go off duty and leave the EMS building (Ten OOC hours a week). If requested, they must go back to their jobs.

Surgeon
After passing the Trainee Surgeon test. You’ll be able to diagnose people with illnesses or assist them with any physical problems but surgeons mainly specialize on patients with missing limbs, broken bones and stab wounds. They can also perform surgical operations that affect all body parts such as tumors, fractures, transplants and excessive bleeding. They can also partake in morgue works and the adding or removing of a prosthetic limb. They as well consult with a patient, with the exception of an emergency, whether or not to operate on someone. An operation can last several hours depending on how difficult the operation is. They focus on the more life-threatening situations.

Doctors
After passing the Trainee Doctor test, you’ll be able to diagnose people with illnesses, assist with any physical pain, and/or give them exams. Doctors specialize in running tests on patients which allows them to prescribe the right medication and figure out the right treatment. They offer different medical treatments like MRIs, X-rays, Ct Scans, etc.(They also do DNA tests and other random things normal OOC doctors do.) They also have the ability to deal with small things like paper cuts to major things such as organ failure or intense bleeding. They know the needs of each patient according to their profile and they will be able to find the right treatment ranging from a young child to an elderly. They consult a patient, asking about their symptoms as well as proceed with a clinical examination in order to give them the treatment they need to get better. (More complex jobs go to surgeons)

Psychiatrist
Two exams will be given out for this position. A multiple choice exam, and a physical exam. In the physical exam they will be doing scenarios, acting as if you are dealing with an actual patient. If passed, they will now be able to medically diagnose people with any disorders, prescribe medication, continue giving therapy, and host their own group therapy. Psychiatrists are doctors specialized in mental illnesses and disorders. They do a complete evaluation of the patient's mental health. Once a diagnosis is made, they can treat them with the correct medications. When it comes to medical needs, not medical mental needs, the only thing a psychiatrist is able to do is hook a patient up to an IV. They are not qualified to do any other tests.

Trainee
The newly hired staff. They typically go through training then a series of scenarios / procedures to determine how much they need to learn. The length of their training ranges between one to three weeks depending on which role they are applying for. After training they will be moved up to ‘attending.’

Backstory (100+ Words)
Born in Irkutsk, Russia, Scarlette grew up with her brother Yuri Romanova. The brother was two years older than Scarlette but grew up with bipolar disorder leaving him still under the custody of their parents Maria Romanova and Valentin Petrov. Her brother was a drunk and constantly used alcohol and to cover up that he wasn't okay, this left Scarlette scarred. Her parents tried everything to maintain an equal amount spent between both kids but because Yuri was more mentally challenged he got more attention. Her mother, Maria, worked as a night shift nurse in an old folks home while her father, Valentin, was an engineer. Throughout Scarlette’s life, she felt ignored and as if her brother's life was more important than her own. She always tried to do her best for her parents, getting straight A’s, being a good student, not participating in after school activities like parties or going out with friends. She was always at home studying or helping out around the house whenever one of her parents were at work.

Throughout middle school, Scarlette was a bit of a loner. She always kept to herself, was always quiet and always had her nose in a book. She mostly read about the human brain as she was trying to get a better understanding on why her brother was the way he was. Was it a chemical imbalance? A gene? What was it that made him the way he was? Scarlette was the type of girl who always gave someone a pencil, always gave someone a helping hand, etc. She was always there to help. Eventually during a group project, Scarlette was put up front to present but she froze. Her hands started to shake, the room went quiet and her heart started to race. She wasn't sure what she was feeling which made her even more anxious. This was the start of her anxiety. Scarlette developed an anxiety disorder due to constantly not being noticed by others and other reasons. The thought of people focusing on her made her anxious, uncomfortable. Her brother was constantly in and out of episodes which always triggered her fight or flight attribute. She lived in constant fear of being hurt by her brother or her brother hurting himself more than he already was by being an alcoholic.

Throughout high school, Scarlette was more open. She had more friends and interacted more with people. She still had anxiety but with the help of seeing a counselor she started to figure out how to control it. She appreciated the help and realized how much of an impact someone being there can cause. Although she was getting better, her homelife was still the same. Her mother never really noticed what was truly going on with her, she was too busy focusing on her brother since he needed more help. In her eyes, Scarlette was the perfect kid with perfect grades. In Scarlette's eyes, she thought she was the disappointing child who wasn't trying hard enough. On the other hand, her father gave her attention, her father was there for her. He fed her food, taught her how to drive, he basically taught her how to function on her own.

During high school, Scarlette realized she wanted to help people. She was already the ‘the****** friend’ according to her friends and was always there for people in need. She started reading more about psychiatrists, doctors, etc. eventually, she realized she wanted to be a psychiatrist. She wanted to help, she wanted to be there. During grade twelve, she started looking into universities that offered studies in the medical field. Eventually she found Irkutsk State University. In university, she would have mastered psychology and minored in doctors of medicine. She would have gone into school for four years, studying psychology, how the human brain works, etc. after university, she would have searched for jobs to work at. She had trouble finding one since all hospitals around her were cramped and had too much staff or couldn't take in anymore psychs. Scarlette started to lose hope and started to think that maybe helping people was a bad idea until she finally found one. Bol'nitsa hospital located in Irkutsk, Russia. In Bol'nitsa, she would’ve been a trainee under the wing of someone else but when she was put to the test, Scarlette knew more than who was training her. The psychiatrist that was training her had brought this up to the other doctors and eventually they asked her if they wanted to transfer her to Karakura Hospital located in Japan where she would be more fit. She took up the offer and went, although the only problem was, she didn't understand japanese. While entering Karakura, Scarlette was confused, she didn't understand japanese, she didn't understand the culture, to be quite honest she didn't really understand what was going on. Luckily Karakura was a small town with only one hospital, so she easily found her way to it. There at the hospital, she would have spoken in Russian then realizing what she said wasn't in japanese.. It was in Russian. Luckily, on duty was a Russian doctor whom she would later on be good friends with. That Russian doctor guided her to where she needed to go, what she needed to do and how to do it. The doctor offered the teacher Scarlette Japanese, which she desperately accepted. From then on, she had started as a trainee psych in Karakura as well as starting to learn Japanese. This was a new beginning to a happy ending.

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical specialty? Why did they choose this focus?
(Ensure this is appropriate to the position you have chosen)

Scarlette majored in psychology to become a psychiatrist. She often found herself helping others mentally and sometimes physically. She saw many people struggle and was always there to help, she even struggled herself. Scarlette wanted to have an impact on people's lives, she wanted to be the help. Scarlette never really knew how other disorders worked such as BPD, bipolar, etc. The only main thing she truly understood was depression and anxiety since she dealt with that herself. Scarlette was a good listener, willing to understand and even put other people before herself. If someone's in need, she’s most likely going to take the job.

What medical residencies did your character take after medical school?
After medical school, Scarlette decided to become a psychiatrist in Russia. She applied for many jobs at different hospitals but they were either full or couldn’t take in new staff. Eventually she got hired as a psychiatrist trainee in a hospital but said hospital decided it would be better if she worked in Japan. They offered that idea to her and immediately, she took it. New opportunities played an important role in Scarlette's life, she always wants to be her best.

Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
Scarlette worked as a trainee psychiatrist in Russia but had gotten the opportunity to work in Japan because they thought she would've been more fit there than in Russia. She completed most of her schooling in Russia but since she would’ve been transferred through work, all they had to do was send her transcripts over from Russia to Japan.

Has your character completed any additional schooling?
N/A

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique?

Scarlette was a kind lady. A slim, 5’10, Russian female with a noticeable Russian accent. Her skin was soft and her voice was smooth, quite soothing to listen to. Scarlette tries to stay in shape, attempting to keep herself healthy. She often goes on daily runs to keep fit and maintains a healthy diet of all nutrients. She had a semi-hourglass figure and her eyes were a soft blue/green. Her skin was pale but her cheeks were rosy and her lips were plum. Her hands were soft and somewhat boney, her nails were always painted black but were somewhat short. She never wanted her nails too long/sharp in fear of hurting someone on accident. She’s very gentle with many things, it is very rare for other people to see her stressed or upset. She tries hard to maintain a certain perspective. She’s not really a fan of dresses, always wearing dressy pants with heels and a shirt of some sort. She dresses very professionally but it's truly for herself.

How does your character act on and off duty?
On duty she is very soft spoken and professional. She's not necessarily shy but she definitely keeps to herself. She rarely ever goes off duty because she’s new to the country. She doesn't have a partner nor any kids considering school was a big focus for her. Now she has work and that is her main focus. If she were to ever go off duty, it would be to go out and explore the town along with trying to find friends and potentially even a lover. She’s not really a party animal but she definitely is willing to go to one considering she still hasn't fully experienced life.

Does your character function better on their own or with others?
A mix of both. Preferably she will work on her own but if she had to work with others she wouldn't mind. She's not one to pout or throw a fit when having to work with others if anything she's open to the idea. Considering she was mostly alone, working by herself, it's reasonable to understand why she mainly worked alone.

What plans does your character have for the future?
Scarlette wants to start a future with someone who supports her and allows her to work freely. She wants to start a family and wishes to experience the life of being a mother. Growing up she never gave herself freedom to party or have fun since work and school was always so important to her. It will continue to stay important for her but she wants to settle down.

How is your character perceived by others? How does it contrast with their perception of themself?
To others, Scarlette can seem introverted and very to herself. She never really partakes in conversations unless her name is said or she is spoken to. She always is put together and ready to get going. Her hair is always done, she wears light makeup which is always done the same everyday though, she is mostly seen as a hard worker who doesn’t slack on a task given to her. She is a kind soul but also a hardworking one.

Scarlette is very doubtful of herself, always thinking she's not good enough or not worthy. She believes she can do better even if her better is the best. She wants to be as perfect as she possibly can not only to herself but to the people around her. She understands people have problems but she can be less worried about herself and more worried about others, it's a bit unhealthy but when you're the help you kind of forget to help yourself.
