Rather than relying on other people to get you an apartment, try finding one yourself. When seeing an apartment, you see an IGN on the sign next to the door. If you do /seen [IGN] it will show how long the person has been offline or online. If they are offline for 30+ days, make a request in housing issues, making a request for the apartment that you want. Keep in mind, if the request has been accepted, there's not a big chance of you getting the apartment requested, because some people take it first.
