I need help please.

So I was just on the server and I said "/OOC Does anyone want to rp with me? I'm near spawn."
Right after I got a warning saying I was warned for "Meta Gaming".
Could someone explain what happened to me?
I don't know what "Meta Gaming" means and I don't see what I did wrong.

Metagaming is revealing IC information OOC.
For example:
Fred says: /ooc "Yo Jeffery we're at 11/7"
That would be metagaming. I hope this helps you. I have been warned as well and someone explained it to me.

So did I somehow give to much info by saying I'm near the spawn of the map??

Before you do an action, think about it: are you able to do it in real life? If you did something that you can’t do in real life like yell with a voice that the whole city can hear you and expect people to follow your voice and find you, that’s metagaming. Here’s a question for you. Is there a /OOC command in real life? No. So don’t use /OOC to say things like “Come to spawn.” You mustn’t roleplay with /OOC either. If you want to talk with someone from a large distance, you can use a phone. Which costs 10,000 yens.
