Describe your activity on the server:
Although I am currently on break for the holidays, I'm very busy in school five days a week. However, on Saturdays and Sundays I am almost always active and I plan to be if accepted for BMD. I want to make clear that if I could play during the weeks, I would. But school truly takes up a majority of my time and prevents me from joining the server.
Specify your Discord username (USER#0000) and if you have a microphone:
mrwetherb_, and I do have a microphone, but I really prefer not to VC.
Specify your country of origin and time zone:
I live in the U.S., and my time zone is MST (Mountain Standard Time).
What are your motivations in applying for the black market dealer role?:
Since I first joined SRP in 2020, I've always found CriminalRP to be interesting and the most realistic part of the whole "living in a big city" experience. However, I had two problems. My first problem was that I was originally pretty bad at writing and I know wouldn't have had what it takes back then. Second, I wasn't even sure how to engage in CriminalRP! Of course, both problems are past me and I feel I have enough experience on this server to know how everything works - except for the criminal side. This is one of the biggest reasons I would like to join; so I can even further broaden my expertise and knowledge of the server.
Another motivation I have is money. Admittedly, making money in SRP is incredibly challenging and often time consuming without some kind of job. However, I found having a job like a store clerk or school staff member to be rather dull, which is why I am turning to the BMD. With BMD, I'll have easier opportunities to make money while also getting to have some really entertaining and intense roleplay at the same time.
Finally, I chose to go this route for this character in particular because it simply fits the route I want him to go. My plan over the last two years of having this character was for him to start with a somewhat normal life in Karakura; perhaps have a family and some close friends, which he did. Now, after those have both gone down the drain and Milo only speaks to a select few people, I want him to take a darker, more dangerous path and become a full-time criminal and maybe kill him off in the future.
What helps you to stand out from other applicants & what can you uniquely provide to the team?:
Although I know I don't bring much to the table with no previous CriminalRP experience, I hope to seperate myself from others via uniquities by expressing my deep passion for roleplay and this server in general. I have tried other Minecraft Roleplay servers, and they simple don't feel as much like "home" like SRP does. I'm also incredibly eager to experience the criminal world of Karakura first-hand, and I hope to expand my knowledge of it, as I said.
Another reason I might stand out is my fascination for the events. The closest I've been to real CriminalRP is the few times my character has been to Fight Club, and I enjoy the interaction between all of the vastly contrasting characters, as it creates a unique charm to both the events and SchoolRP as a whole. I also like how most BMDs in SRP have only one similarity, and it's the drive for money. I find it fascinating how polar opposites can work together for one common interest.
What previous experience do you have in working with a team?:
Server
The most experience I have server-wise with teamwork is my friends and I creating our own little roleplay events that we often take quite seriously. We find ourselves working together in many ways, like pitching each other ideas on what our characters should say or how they interract, determining the most realistic outcome for the story, and deciding the best way to execute the roleplay.
IRL
I also have plenty of experience in my personal life, as I am currently staffed as a journalist on my school's newspaper. This obviously takes lots of teamwork in many ways. For example, before we even start on a new issue, we brainstorm current popular topics in genres such as A&E and News. Another example is the actual design of the paper. For this job, nobody can work independently, as it takes full collaboration and creativity to design the front page.
I use this as the strongest example as experience, as I like to think it's similar to teamwork in SRP. Like working with my peers to design and organize the newspaper, being part of the BM requires you to work with fellow RPers to brainstorm and formulate a story so it flows easy and it's fun for everyone.
What suggestions do you have to help better the crime faction?:
Again, I don't know much about CriminalRP, but this is inspiration for a potential improvement. I think it'd be better to somehow make CriminalRP like BMDs more accessible to other players like me who were less aware. Perhaps place subtle propaganda around the map that's visible to all players as to entice them into joining. This could prove beneficial to new players especially, as throwing them immediately into CriminalRP will give them a very good understanding of the SRP rules like the rolling system or how to action in combat.
Are you familiar with all rules pertaining to weapon profiles, combat, permissions, and player conduct on the server?:
Yes. I am greatly knowledged on all rules related to such, and I often try to help others when possible. I'm also always double-checking combat rules, just in case, to make sure a fight or other situation goes correctly.
Are you familiar with that if you leave the black market at any point, the black market lead will have permanent kill permissions on your character?:
Yes, although I don't plan on this character dropping out fo the BMD role any time soon.
Are you familiar with that if your character(s) is/are killed or permanently arrested twice, you will be removed from the black market?:
Yes. It is a top goal to constantly stay away from the KPD and to obviously not get killed.
Are you familiar with that you cannot reveal any out-of-character plans or potential addition to the black market to others?:
Yes. Revealing plans OOC in any situation is not only a silly thing to do, but it also ruins the magic and excitedment of RP.

Age & Occupation: 20 with no occupation
Gender & Marital Status: Male, not married.
Ethnicity & Race: French, caucasian.

Former Associations/Occupations: N/A
Highest Level of Education: College
Physical/Mental Ailments: A large, fully healed scar spanning across almost his entire outer-forearm. (Otherwise, N/A)
Known Family Members: N/A
Describe your character's appearance to the greatest detail:
Milo C. Amias, standing at 6'3", has shaggy, dark brown hair with hazel eyes that have slowly dimmed over time. Although still quite young, his face looks slightly aged and tired. He almost always wears dressy clothes with the occasional casual outfit. When visible, a scar is seen covering nearly his entire left forearm. It has long since healed, but the trauma still remains as a reminder of Milo's upbringing. He also often wears dark sunglasses, boosting his unique fashion sense.
Describe your character's personality to the greatest detail:
Milo has a complicated personality. Oftentimes, when he's with his closest friends, he throws all logic and chill out the window and turns into a giant goofball- which is annoying to some. However, when he is serious, it wouldn't be hard to recognize. Milo doesn't take kindly to insults, and will often try to act on it by first trying to shut it down. If just talking doesn't work, he has the potential to get angry and violent. Although, this happens on very rare occasion. Again, he may act stupid, but he's quite the opposite. Milo will have a very keen and logical mind when he thinks it is necessary, which he usually uses to his advantage. Milo also has his own particularities, his most favorite being his art. He was always proud of his pencil drawings, but has recently forgotten the joy in it.
Describe your character's backstory to the greatest detail: (200+ words minimum)
The Birthplace
Milo was born poor in Paris, France to his mother, Chloé, and father, Chad (the reason for Milo's middle name). Milo was of both French and Japanese ethnicity, - in fact, Milo's mother was originally from Karakura until her mother married a Frenchman - and Chad was almost entirely of french heritage. Milo lived in France up until he was 13 years old, and he first moved to Karakura.
Unfortunate Circumstances
One of the many reasons he was sent to Karakura was because his father was a dangerous person to be around. Right before their already cracked family broke for good, Chad's drinking got the better of him and one day led to his arrest, as well as severe injuries to both Milo and his mother. Milo was found with, among other things, a large open gash in his left forearm that he told the Parisien police was caused by the shattered glass of a beer bottle - how surprising... Another reason that Milo left France was because Chloé simply couldn't afford to care for him, especially after Chad was out of the picture. Chloé remembered her short-lived but wonderful time in Karakura when she was a little girl, and figured that Milo would have a better and happier life there than in their run-down little home in one of the poorest arrondissements in Paris.
She was right... until she wasn't.
For the most part, Milo got used to life in Karakura. For a long time, his artistic skills were a reminder of his home, his mother. Occasionally, Chloé kept her son from going to school while Chad was busy at work and they'd draw together. Milo always appreciated everything she taught him up until she died when Milo was just 15. By the time he was 19, Milo was engaged and was a father-like figure for many people. It lasted quite a long time and it was possibly the happiest point in his life. However, Milo's relationship with nearly everybody began to crumple, and unintentionally began following in his father's footsteps and, in short, lost it all.
Not necessarily the end! Yet...
Before his little family crumbled, Milo was always law-abiding, and an overall "good guy." But now, what was the point? He doesn't have anything to lose anymore, so why not dabble in some secretive (albeit illegal) work and get paid?
Describe an interaction that your character may have as a black market dealer: (This can be anything — a weapon deal, an event they may be involved in, or maybe an interaction with a gang)
Fading from black, we see a dark and dingy room. Roots hang from the cracked ceiling, an AC unit leaks coolant as it blasts air into the room. A flourescent light swings back and forth, its humming only deafened by the loud air flow.
Mold festered in each corner of the dungeon-like chamber. It rode up the walls and ate away at the soggy, deteriorating wallpaper. Centered on the back wall was an empty brick fireplace that had long been unused. Cowebs riddled the inside, traveling far up the dark, ashy shaft.
In the middle, a strange, still figure is tied to a chair with a sack covering their face.
Minutes pass by as we stare at this unmoved and, frankly, boring stranger- wait, are those footsteps? Yes, they're nearing the door. Finally!
A tall, lean man peeks his head into the room. The first thing we notice is his covered face. He's wearing a brownish-red "V for Vendetta" mask, but there's something off about the color. Was that really paint..?
As he entered the room, more of his body is revealed. He's wearing a white dress-shirt with rolled up sleeves, covered by a dark grey button-up vest. He also had shiny dress-shoes and silky black suit pants. A gold chain is attached to his belt, swaying beside his leg as he walks.
He enters with a large, brown briefcase in one hand and a foldable metal chair in the other. Another person in a differently colored but similarly styled mask holds the door open as he drags the chair in, unfolding it and setting it directly in front of the unconcious hooded captive. The mystery man says something unintelligable to the one holding the door, and they leave. The large metal door makes a loud slam as it closes, waking up our sleepy stranger.
"What the hell...?"
A woman's voice speaks from behind the heavy sack covering her face.
"Sorry, mademoiselle, did that wake you?" says the masked man, his accent giving the sign that he was from some other place. He sits in the chair, facing the woman.
He sets his briefcase on the ground to the right of him.
The woman's breathing hitches as she realizes she's tied up.
"What the hell is this? Is this some kind of fucking joke?!" she asks, panicked.
As the seconds pass, she grows more and more distressed, yelling and rustling violently in her chair.
"Now," says the man calmly, "I know this is worrying for you. And it should be! But please, quiet down!" He speaks over the yelling woman until eventually leaning toward her and pulling the sack off her head.
A frizzy, blonde woman's face is revealed. She has tears treaming down her face, and her panicked voice matches her face. She quiets down only a little, and her face contorts at the sight of the man’s disturbing stained mask.
“That’s a little better, yes?” says the man. He throws the sack on the floor beside him, exchanging it for his briefcase. He sets it on his lap and unlatches both ends, opening it toward himself.
Suddenly, he pauses, looking up at the woman. “Goodness, me! What the hell am I doing? I haven’t even introduced myself…”
The man lifts his mask off his head and aimlessly throws it to his left, perhaps a little too hard… The mask hits the dingy wall and snaps into two pieces.
“Oops… I suppose that was a little too hard,” he says, briefly gazing at the broken mask before turning his head back to the woman, who now had a confused yet still fearful look on her face.
“Well, anyway! You may call me Marseille, and I’m here to… talk with you,” he says, giving the woman a strangely warm smile, leaning over the open briefcase and closer to her face.
The woman stares into his eyes but quickly looks away, disturbed by what she sees in them. They are the only part of him that look… unstable.
“And you. Your name is?” He asks curiously, tilting his head.
“M-Machiko… please- just tell me what you want from me.” Machiko says, leaning back and away from his face.
Marseille ominously chuckles, “Oh, Machiko. It’s got nothing to do with what I need,” he continues, “it’s what I want to do to you.” His voice deepens as he nears the end of his sentence, and his face grows serious.
He leans back again, rummaging around in the briefcase. He first pulls out a photo.
“You know this man, yes?” Marseille asks, his tone stiffening as he holds the photo in front of Machiko’s face.
“I- yes, I do… What the hell does he have to do with anything?” she questions.
“I believe you know exactly what this has to do with him, Machiko,” He closes the briefcase, but doesn’t lock it. Instead, he leans all the way back in the metal chair and stares at the photo, occasionally flashing it her way.
“Clearly you’re not aware, Machiko, that this man is like a brother to me. A brother,” Marseille emphasizes, “and you, you little-” he pauses, taking a brief moment to calm himself before continuing. “You cheated on him, correct?”
Marseille stares intensely at her until she answers.
“Yes…” Machiko says, a mix of shame and fear rising on her face as she realizes the exact situation she’s in. “But- please, I didn’t- it wasn’t-”
“I don’t care to hear your excuses, harlot,” Marseille interrupted, his expression growing subtly angrier.
Machiko again grows more panicked, fearing the worst.
“I suppose nothing more needs to be said. I’ll just get straight to work…” Marseille says as he equips white rubber gloves and takes a long and sharp knife out of the briefcase. Machiko’s eyes widen.
“Wait, what? No! Please, let me go, I don’t wanna die!” she begs, crying once more.
“Aimé! Aimé!” Marseille calls as he stands up from the chair. Quickly, the same man who previously held the door open for Marseille runs in. He stands Machiko up, kicking the chair away. It makes a loud noise as it falls over onto the ground.
Marseille now stands before Machiko, looking down at her menacingly with the knife to his side. She shakes her head violently side by side, begging to be freed.
“Vous obtenez ce que vous méritez…” Marseille says with slow pronunciation, “You know what that means?”
Jab.
And the begging stops.
Silence.
Machiko slumps forward against Marseille, and he leans his head down near her ear, ominously whispering as the life fleets from Machiko’s eyes, “It means; you get what you deserve…”
We fade to black.
Describe any other additional information that is notable in considering your character for the role of a black market dealer: (If inapplicable, put N/A)
I just want to emphasize how much I'd like to become a black market dealer. Although I'm not experienced in CrimeRP, I'm hoping that if I get accepted, this will provide a good opportunity for me to learn. Again, I'm still knowledgable on all of the rules and concepts, so I will definitely be able to handle being a BMD.
Pertaining to my character, Milo is incredibly persistent and stubborn, which I think will be beneficial when being a BMD.
