Describe your activity on the server:
I dedicate a significant amount of time daily playing on the server, usually from the evening until midnight, which aligns with peak player activity. During weekdays, I focus primarily on my characters, but I tend to play even more on weekends, allowing me to dedicate additional time into them. Currently, I play as a Professor and a Basketball Player, but I also plan to dedicate time to my Shrine character if accepted.
Over the years, I've built a strong familiarity with most of the factions, allowing me to engage in meanningful roleplay with each and contribute to immersive experiences. I am also well-versed in the Community, frequently interacting with a spectrum of the players, whether they are part of the sports team, faculty, KPD or any other faction.

What position are you applying for (Maiden or Priest)?
Priest.
What is your motivation for applying?
Firstly, I was adviced to apply for more factions, and I decided to give Shrine a try. I wish to gain more knowledge about the server and it's factions, and knowing Shrine has Shintuism sparked the idea for this. Along with that, my respected SRP family, Sidorov lacks older characters, which is also why I am applying.
I have been an Active member of the SRP Community for several years, starting in 2021. During this time, I have gained an in-depth understanding of the server, it's rules and roleplay Dynamics. My current main character as a Professor has been a consistent focus, and I'm now looking for a new set of focus.
What do you currently know about Shintoism? Are you willing to learn more about it?
While I’m still in the early stages of learning about Shintoism, I am deeply intrigued by it and fully committed to expanding my understanding. Although my knowledge is limited at the moment, I would like to share what I have learned so far, along with my enthusiasm for continuing to explore this fascinating religion.
Shintoism is rooted in the belief that everything in the world, both living and non-living, possesses a spirit or kami that deserves respect and reverence. The term kami can be understood as a spirit, deity, or even a god, but it is much more nuanced than that. It refers to the sacred essence that exists in all things. In Shinto, kami are not just divine beings but the very forces that animate the world around us. They are believed to have created the Earth and everything within it. A kami could be the spirit inhabiting a natural feature, such as a river, a mountain, or even a tree. It might also represent the forces of nature like fire, wind, or thunder, which are seen as powerful and awe-inspiring manifestations of the divine.
One of the most striking aspects of Shintoism is its view of the world as a seamless, interconnected whole. Unlike many other religious traditions, Shintoism does not draw a rigid line between the natural and the supernatural. There is no strict division between what is seen and unseen, what is ordinary and what is sacred. Kami exist throughout the world, influencing every aspect of life, and humans are part of this broader spiritual landscape.
It’s important to note that kami are not inherently good or evil. They possess a wide range of personalities and characteristics, much like humans do. Some kami are benevolent and nurturing, while others may be more unpredictable or vengeful. While kami can offer blessings and protection, they can also exact punishment on those who behave dishonorably or live in ways that disrupt the harmony of nature. Illness, misfortune, and calamities are sometimes understood as the consequences of offending a kami or failing to live in balance with the spiritual world.
Though I am still on the path of developing my understanding of Shintoism, I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to learn more. and I am committed to continuing my studies. If given the chance, I am eager to further explore the history, practices, and philosophies of Shintoism in greater depth.
