School Employee Role you are Applying For:
Janitor
How often do you log onto the server?:
At least once a day for a considerable amount of time, unless exams or other important things are going on.
Do you have discord?
Rcmance#9253
Do you have a microphone?
Yes.
Have you ever been banned, If yes when and why?:
Yes, for bypassing a ban and reaching the warn limit, I realize that having multiple bans is a bad look but I can sincerely say it will not happen again.
Can you ensure that you will often come on:
I can ensure that I will be active, and I will gladly accept my demotion if I am not active enough.
Do you recognise that you can be ICly fired?:
Yes.
In as much detail as possible, describe the role of your chosen school employee:
The role of a janitor is to ensure that a building (in this case, a school) is maintained, repaired, and cleaned, and made presentable for the individuals who inhabit it, like school staff and students. They work both indoors and outdoors, keeping the school safe from disease, fixing problems that arise with the building, and keeping the grounds presentable and clean. Though a janitor is mostly known for roles related to cleaning, repairing, etc. they can also be an authoritative figure, making them a valuable asset to any team, helping the school physically, socially, and mentally. Janitors are generally tasked with things such as cleaning bathrooms, resupplying classrooms and bathrooms, locking and unlocking doors, maintaining the grass, dusting, mopping etc. (See more in "Are you familiar with what your job does?") In general, a janitor is an underrated position that is a vital and necessary role for every school.
Do you have any past experience in this type of roleplay?:
On separate servers, yes, I've served as an authoritative figure on many different occasions, but in terms of schoolrp, I haven't had any experience in any role other than a student, though I believe I am more than capable of doing so.
What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
I've been roleplaying for a long time, and I like to consider myself above average in that department, I find it pretty easy to make friends with others, which I believe would transfer well into a faculty member role. I've played as many different types of people and I've been in almost every situation, I believe I am adaptable and capable of roleplaying through anything.
Are you familiar with what your job does? If so, describe it:
The janitorial role has many jobs that can be expected of them, both indoors and outdoors, these jobs include but are not limited to: Cleaning bathrooms, such as sinks, toilets, urinals. Floor cleaning, refurnishing, and polishing (sweeping, mopping, buffering.) Clearing garbage bins, restocking restrooms for paper products and other supplies such as feminine products and air fresheners. Cleaning mirrors, cleaning carpets (usually vacuuming), clearing the lunch room and kitchen of food, trash, and other messes that could've been made. Cleaning tables in classrooms, offices, etc. Unlocking and locking the building at the start and end of each day, cleaning the air vents, repairing anything that may have broke in the building, picking up litter outside, mowing the grass, etc. All these jobs and more are part of the long list of things to do as a janitor, so an individual must stay on top of his work, and be as active as possible in order to complete all of them.
[Situations]
During a workshift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how do you react?:
It is extremely important to keep your cool in this sort of situation, specifically for me, I would start off in a nice manner, warning the student as passively as possible in order to avoid confrontation, and to avoid escalating the situation. I would reply with something along the lines of "[Ma'am/Sir], that is a horrible comment to make, I haven't disrespected you in any way, why are you choosing to treat me poorly? It is in your best interest to stop, or the situation may not turn out well for you." I believe this is a proper response as it gives no aggression towards the student, keeping the situation calm, however if the student continues, it is still important to stay calm, but a more stern approach is also necessary. If the student continues, I would reply with something along the lines of: "That's enough, this sort of behavior will not be tolerated, I gave you several chances to comply but you chose not to do so, I'm giving you a detention, and if you want to continue misbehaving we can have a conversation with the Vice-Principal." This response still keeps the situation calm, but it gives a more stern approach, leaving the student little opportunity to continue acting poorly without extreme consequences such as suspension or even expulsion.
You are doing a hazadrous job requested by the School Principal, how do you react?:
First and foremost, it is important to make sure that the said task is safe, and that it follows protocol, if not, I would kindly decline the request, and do as much as I could to evacuate the building or get the students out of the area. If it is safe enough, and I am capable of completing it without losing my life or risking the lives of others, I would acquire the proper safety equipment, and gear needed for the task, the first thing I would do would be to set up a perimeter around the area, prohibiting any students or staff entering the dangerous zone. I would then call the proper authorities and follow the protocol, completing the task to the best of my ability without putting any lives in danger, after the task is completed, I will assure that the proper authorities are notified about what exactly happened, before ensuring all students and staff haven't been injured. I believe this is an appropriate approach as it causes for the least amount of casualties, which is ideal in every situation, especially in a school involving young students.
Another school employee is doing something very dangerous on the job or acting out of order, how do you react?:
If he or she was doing something illegal, I wouldn't step in, as for my own safety, I would however call the authorities to apprehend them, so I don't have to put myself in a dangerous situation. However, if he/she isn't doing something illegal, I would step in, asking them all the W's, (who, what, when, where, why) to gain a better understanding of the situation. If he/she cannot provide a good enough reason as to why he/she was doing what they were doing, I would immediately report it to a superior. It is important to not approach the situation violently, or to approach it aggressively without grasping the full concept of the situation, as it prevents from any conflict from happening and may possibly prevent anyone from getting in trouble. As for an employee acting out of order, I would approach them in a strict manner, saying something along the lines of: "What are you doing [ma'am/sir]? This isn't how you're meant to act as an employee, you're supposed to be a role model for these students and you're acting completely out of line, control yourself, and stop this behavior or I'll have to report you." In this brief statement I have established that the staff member is behaving incorrectly, and I have given them the opportunity to stop, and I remained calm yet stern throughout the situation. Should the staff member continue, I would follow through with my threat, and report them. If a teacher is harming or threatening to harm a student, I would take immediate action, breaking the fight up before calling the authorities and ensuring the safety of everyone in the school.

Applicant Name:
KeShawn Aether
Chosen Job:
Janitor
Motivation for Joining YHS:
My motivation for joining YHS is to ensure that the students of this city grow up to be healthy, smart, and strong individuals. I believe that the current environment for these students is not quite ideal. I believe I can make personal relationships with students, and touch their hearts, and encourage them to continue on a good path, eventually going to college. I want to create an amazing and welcoming atmosphere for Karakura Highschool, making anyone and everyone feel welcomed. I'm not only focused on the social aspect of the school however, I also believe it is super important to keep the school in perfect condition, doing everything I can to maintain a wonderful environment, and making connections as I do so.
Age:
24
Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
I believe I bring something special to the table, motivation, passion, and heart. For most school employees, I notice a lack of enthusiasm, going through the day in a 'I want to go home' attitude. As for me, I will come to work happily every day, doing everything I can to improve not only the school itself, but the students who inhabit it. These kids are the future leaders of Karakura, if taught improperly, the future of our city is anything but bright. My goal is to touch the heart of at least one student each day, along with accomplishing all of the duties for the day, keeping the school in order. All of these things combined bring a unique and powerful message, which will hopefully give you an idea of how passionate and serious I am about doing this job, and I will gladly ensure that I will be a model employee, and citizen.
