I can’t quite remember when, however the ban was for 1 hour - due to failure to comply with staff, Upon my sister and I wanting to buy an apartment each.

In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
Tutoring is a job that, although isn’t as famous nor valued as teachers or professors, may be even more important than a teacher’s role. The reason for this is because tutors are supposed to help those students who are having issues by studying, memorising, or doing their homework. Unlike teachers, who are forced to teach everyone at the same time, paying the same amount of attention to every student, tutors can dedicate as much time as they think is necessary for students to be able to learn and understand what’s being explained, being able to teach them both in and outside school grounds. Furthermore, as every employee, tutors should also remain professional and, under no circumstances, should they get too close to a student, either friendly/professional-wise. Despite this, being a tutor should also imply a certain sympathetic attitude, just so that the person who’s being tutored feels comfortable and confident with what they’re doing.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
The first experience I’ve ever had in roleplay was when I first joined SchoolRP, in 2017. Although I wasn’t the best roleplayer back then, I slowly started developing a somewhat serious way of roleplaying the more I saw other people roleplay. Right now, that experience I’ve acquired are portrayed in many of my actions, some of which contain great amounts of detail.

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:


Kanae would respond in a calm manner towards the student, to avoid provoking further unnecessary bad behaviour, warning the child that if the action continues, I would then explain to them that their behaviour could be considered harmful and offensive , and further punishments will be given. After a fair warning is sent their way, if it continues she would do exactly as she warned she would.

You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:

Kanae would be fully willing to do whatever she could to stop the fighting from. Her most likely option, being to push the two apart moving herself between them to stop the punches from continuing, though doing so may cause herself to be hit in the crossfire, that's a risk she's willing to take being that she is a firm believer that the children's lives are more important than that. That's what the schools purpose is for after all, to ready the students to move forward in their lives. As for what she would do next, detentions would be handed out immediately, followed by a warning for if the behaviour continues further consequences would be taken.

Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:

Kanae would firstly step back and think firstly how to best protect her students from any situation, and if safe to do so, remove the school employee from the situation.

She would then talk to the school employee to discuss the situation and how the whole situation was handled inappropriately. She would also remind the school employee to not repeat the same situation again, and depending on how serious the situation was, she would also proceed to inform the head of department or SLT.

When in the employee break room, how does your character act?

In the employee break room, Kanae would be sipping a drink on her desk, going through students' assignments, and identifying topics her students are weak in, and thinking of how to help them understand certain concepts.

She would also socialise with other employees such as teachers in the breakroom, to get a sense of what is currently being taught in class, and to share common mistakes students that come in for tutoring.

When she sees other employees who are having a bad day, or feeling down, she would also try to comfort them by offering a snack, and offering a listening ear to them.

Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:

/me proceeded to flip through the pages of the completed assignment, ****ysing each of the student's answers in great detail, taking notes on what the student had done right or wrong, before turning her head up back towards the student, with a smile on her face. "Great work on the assignment, you did well on , but a little more work might have to be done on , here, let's go through it together".

/me glanced slowly from left to right, scanning the room, she'd notice a student loitering around in the tutor room, she'd gesture to the seat in front of her with her hands, she'd smile at the student, with confidence.

/me looked at the student with a bright smile on her face as she ended the tutoring session, flipping through her files she filed a copy of the student's assignment, along with notes of what was discussed in today's session. She'd peel a sticker off her sticker book and pasted it on the assignment book for the student to take home. "Good job today! You can always come back whenever you need to!"

Backstory
Kanae Seong was born in 1995 as a cheery bubbly girl in modern-day Japan. She is a creative girl that likes listening to music as well as drawing. Growing up, Kanae was one of the rare children that enjoyed going to school, having had many memorable experiences in the school.

During her time as a high school student, she would frequent the tutor room for help with certain subjects and topics. She enjoyed studying and loved how all the tutors wanted to help her succeed in her studies, like how they try their best to explain difficult concepts.

Whenever there were no tutors for the day, she would also sometimes help out fellow students with questions that they have, as she could empathise with them well, having faced many of the same struggles that they encounter. She enjoyed teaching and especially the 1-to-1 learning that tutors have with their students.

When Kanae was picking what to study in college, she chose to pursue her interests in Art and Music, as well as minors in Maths and English. Choosing to study four different subjects was not easy, but with the guidance of the teachers, tutors as well as many late night study sessions with her friends, she managed to graduate college in 2016.

Shortly after she graduated, she had a period of time whereby she wasn't sure what she wanted to do. She wanted to work in somewhere where she felt familiar, and confident. She underwent a long period of meditation, and that is when she was reminded of her fond memories at the school.

She was curious how it was actually like working in a High School, and had asked several members of the faculty about how working as a school worker feels like. She was touched by how tutors give their all into helping their students do well, and she believed that she too, could help students that are willing to study.

With her patience as well as her great empathy, she made the decision to come back to the school as a tutor, to help younger Karakurans succeed in their studies.

Motivation for Joining KHS:
One of my main aims when joining KHS is to get experience from being a school employee, for any possible future job as well as to know how it feels to tutor, instead of being tutored, which is what I’ve been receiving for many years. Moreover, I believe that school is the one environment where I feel more confident in, knowing my surroundings as well its rules and what’s and what’s not allowed.

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
There are some reasons that I’d like to point out which would set me above other applicants. The main one relates to the fact that I’ve been receiving tutoring for the past years, acquiring experience as a student. Furthermore, I also believe that my patience when teaching people as well as my empathy towards them from my personal student experience is something that can greatly help students to learn what they’re willing to study. I’ve also asked many of the school workers to have a slight idea of what working in a High School feels like and, after a long period of meditating, I came to the conclusion that my personality and features match with what’s required to be a school staff member.
