Backstory:

Year one,

A little baby was born on 29th, February of 2000, given the name Jeon Dae-Hyeon. His name, Dae-Hyeon meant Glitter in Korean and was chosen because his father was a clothing engineer and his mother was an artist, both fascinated with bright colours and bling. Hyeon started walking pretty early at 6 months. He was a pretty fast learner after watching all his siblings walk like dogs for a while, he started imitating them and thats how he started crawling. His first year in life wasnt so interesting, he met most his cousins and all his family members. He unfortunately didnt memorize any of them, but fortunately he did start eating solid food at 10 months. His parents were very proud of him to say the least. They treated him very well and it was very fun to keep him, he was a very silent but stubborn baby. He didnt cry much, or annoy anyone to say the least. And those were the events of his life so far.

Year two,

His head was full of blonde hair by this time. It was also the year he started identifying objects. He started remembering faces and objects, he kept pointing to lights and big entities. His teeth started growing too! But it started causing him biting on random objects like toys and his own fingers. Though his parents were proud of him and thought he was very genius and grown because of all the rapid growing his body went through, but it was really normal and they were proud of no reason. By the 11th month of this year he started speaking, and his first word was "Bi", which was pretty confusing since nobody really expected it to be his first word. It was very funny at first seeing him say "Bi" whenever someone leaves with his cute little voice.

Year three,

His third year on earth was the most active, he could walk normally. He could climb up beds and chairs, walk forwards and backwards and many others! He could sometimes jump and kick balls! At this time he could also communicate quite well considering his age, he could play with his older sibling. His favourite game was simple, he would throw the ball to his sibling and catch it, pretty easy. He would play that for hours on end. It was like an addiction. In time he would forget time and stopped comprehending its existence. It was really concerning for the parents but the doctors just said it was a phase so they got over it pretty quickly after that and kept letting him play with that ball.

Year four,

This was an important and emotional year for himself and his parents. He was able to talk almost fluently and he could control his emotions. He was also pretty late but he finally was able to complete his potty training and was fully able to control his inner body and he was able to go to the toilet alone most of the time without support. It was a very social year for Hyeon, he kept going out to play dates with random kids and made many friends that he'd play catch with for hours! It was a nice time. Around this time he also got into sports, well, not SPORTS but he still played football and some other simple games. He was a really fit kid and wanted to keep it that way.

Year five,

Some of his teeth started falling out around this time, it was very fun for him to experience it! Though he doesnt remember how it felt after a long time. But regardless, it was very painful. He didnt really remember the pain, he just remembered it as a joyful event. He just remembered having his teeth pulled out carefully and some fun times, when it was really a dentist pulling out each tooth whenever it gets soft and shaky. And the sense of blood and emptiness around his toungue felt horrendous. So yeah that was most of his year then. But it was also one of his parents' favourite years, it was his last year at home! Finally he will go to kindergarten, just every Korean parents wish. Other than that it was just another year of Hyeon playing ball with the wall outside

Year six,

It was his first year in kindergarten. Hyeong swears he could remember it dearly. It was a fun day with all the shy kids thrown inside a small classroom of 30 seats, where they all sat and enjoyed having conversations and talking about confusing Korean letters. The breaks were fine he would just hang out with his very small squad that he had made friends with, it was 2 females and 3 males including himself. It was a pretty fun group and consisted of every great personality, they really hit it off well. The year continued pretty fun, he was able to memorize the alphabets and continue pretty successfully. Throughout the year he had made several friends with many different people. He was a pretty good student for his age and liked getting his clothes ready for every day in the morning. Days he would choose colours together, days he would match the textures and patterns. It was like a fun game he'd play every morning. He was a very fun kid at that age, and was looking forward to the next years. This year’s Christmas was a special one, though his family wasn’t religious they still liked hosting a Christmas party for the gift and the joy. This was the first Christmas that he remembers vividly. It was a joyous day, everyone rushed into the grandparents house with glee, smiles on their round faces. It was a great night, they had some food and opened up presents. It was truly one of the best nights in Hyeons life. And the best part was that he remembered if fondly.

Year seven,

It was his second year of kindergarten, in fact his last one here, next year he will move on to elementary school. He was very excited for this year! He had become more skilled and was ready to beat the next stage! As the year began he reunited with his friends and became close with them after the long summer break. They had time to bond but then it was time for “serious” work. They got into maths this year. They started learning addition and subtraction. Hyeon really felt like Elbert Einstein at the time, thinking it was amazing how he could solve simple equations. He didn’t struggle at all that year, in fact, he stunned the class with very grades and good performances. He was a very skilled kid, his parents thought. His love for passion also grew around this age, not too much but he still could style better colours together and was better at handling patterns. Last year all he did was mix colours together, it looked like a Bob Ross painting gone wrong. But this year, he was stunning. Let’s just say he made heads turn.

Year eight,

It was his first year in elementary school. With high grades and a great personality he got into a good elementary school where he would continue his life growing and studying. Thankfully, two of his friends, one male and one female also joined his school. Though their group lowered in size, they were still the closest of friends. He did though, have to re-make relationships with all the other studnts. It didn’t seem like such of a problem to Hyeon since he loved communicating and loved making new friendships with new different people every time. Though he wasn’t the “popular” kid he was still pretty known and was decent friends with mostly everyone. He got into multiplication this year which proved a little hard but it was still fun to overcome that challenge. But he was too young to understand that concept, so when he failed, he basically gave up and threw a tantrum. His parents helped him through this “tough” time and he kept on going with understanding mathematics well. At the end of the year he also started learning how to use an instrument. His first instrument was piano, it took him some time to perfect it and even by the end of this year he didn’t completely master it. Thankfully this year they went with their family out with all their cousins to eat for new year’s, usually Hyeon’s family just stays alone and watches movies together. But it was a nice change for once.

Year nine,

Grade two! Finally some progress in his bland life. This year was the blandest out of all his life. He literally did nothing interesting. Other than finishing playing the piano and starting his other instrument, it was really not interesting at all. He finished playing the piano with flying colours and he could successfully play any note on it, and any song with a visual script. His next instrument was the flute, a pretty interesting but easy instrument, he thought. It really was easy for him, he managed to finish learning how to play it by the end of the year. But in contrast he started taking science aswell, cells were really messing with his brain. How could there be small things living on us and we cant even see them? He really didn’t like them and hated them with a passion. This years math was easy, unlike the damned science. He learned division, and it was with a great teacher! So it was simple for him to pull through it. This years grades weren’t as high as they were when he was a child, but he did well regardless. Other than that, this was the blandest year of his life.

Year ten,

Half way there, he thought. This is where grades really started to matter. His parents became more strict and wanted him to get the best marks possible. He finished learning Korean, being able to write, speak, speak and understand it perfectly. So, he started learning Chinese. And so he started his journey on another language once again. This years school was quite simple for him. And he passed with flying colours. He also finished the flute and almost mastered Chinese, but he needed a couple more months. This year, he realized that he never really celebrated his birthday. Regardless of the fact that Koreans celebrate their birthdays on the last day of the year, his parents didn’t really do that. He did notice his family having birthdays but he never really had one himself. He confronted his parents about it, and turned out he was born on an unfamiliar way. He was born on a leap year, surprisingly on the 29th of February. He was shocked, he didn’t really understand astronomy but he got the hang of it. For the rest of the year he had the choice to either have his birthday every 4 years but still count his age similarly, or have it on March 1st or February 28th.

Year eleven,

He came to the agreement that he will have his birthday party every 4 years but age up every New Years Eve like a normal Korean. It was a fun choice, he never really had this much freedom. But regardless it was fine and he continued his life normally. This year he finally went to middle school, he had good grades and decided to work more on his fashion. It was around this time that the stress really got to him. He started realizing how much time perception hes really not focusing on but he also started having trouble sleeping, he kept studying all the time and with his parents demanding high grades it was really stressful… Months went by and he went to a doctor with his parents. Turned out he had insomnia, making him unable to sleep properly, or have troubles overall. It was really stressful to have that on his shoulders too. But he decided to set it aside and continue his life. And so, he continued his fashionista life. He got more clothes, more everything! He matched colours and fabrics perfectly. It was his passion. This year he also struggled a lot with Chinese, finding the letters very similar to Korean and confusing them. It was a hard time and after two years, he didnt even perfect it. He decided to take a break from languages and instruments to get stable again.

Year twelve,

His body was going through some changed, obviously. He grew very tall… He got to 5’3” by this year. He started having voice cracks and studied his sexuality more. This year was simple. Just his insomnia made it more and more difficult by the day. He wasn’t getting any sleep, he’d barely get 4 hours a day. It was really stressful. He wanted to get back into Chinese by the end of the year to keep his insomnia off his mind, and to study while he cant sleep. It was also a leap year this year, so he could celebrate his birthday for once. It was a great party, it had food, games, friends and presents! He got presents! He got some board games, some cute little boxes and a lot of plushes. He also got a nerf gun and a football ball. It was a fun day, and when he went home he enjoyed his gifts for days. By the end of the year he got back into Chinese and it was easier, he thought his brain grew! It was new years and it was fun, they celebrated it alone in their house and watched the new Home Alone 5. It was fine and the year ended well.

Year thirteen,

Some months pass and he successfully finished Chinese, he now knows 2 languages. He made some new friends too, his social group was expanding and that was fun. He got so much taller and started eating more to fill in for his weight, because of puberty of course. School wasn’t much of a problem since he joined an organization in his school, COGX. Which isn’t very globally known but it would strengthen his creativity and sharpen his memory. It would take him every time theres a “fun” class like design, art, drama, music and PE. Then would play games that would help him in his daily life. So he would only focus on math, science, languages and history. History wasn’t a problem at all, he didn’t mind it and found it very simple. Languages was also easy since he was experienced in different modern languages than his other classmates so he had the knowledge. Science was getting simpler and more, scientific, so he liked that. And math was still a little hard but he was able to get through it. By the end of the year he also got back into the flute. After finishing Chinese he wanted to finish the instrument he didn’t finish. He continued it and it took some time to remember but he got it in a few weeks.

Year fourteen,

This year he finished COGX and he had very great memory. He also finished learning Chinese after a few months and he took a break for the languages. He was still struggling with insomnia and with that he had slight anorexia, he wouldn’t eat a lot but it wasn’t to the point where he’d starve himself. A few months pass and he got back into the flute, now hes into Chinese and the flute AGAIN. So, it was stressful to be back in that situation but he was up for the challenge. The summer break came around and his family was going to China, this was a perfect opportunity to get forget all his problems AND learn Chinese while being there. So off they went, they got to China and he was able to communicate with different people! He learned about culture and ethics in this age, his parents taught him all about Korean and Chinese gestures. He learned to take his shoes off when entering a residence or a building. When and how to bow to people, what degrees he should bow during situations. And genuinely how to speak to people kindly. The rest of the trip was visiting tourist areas such as the Great Wall of China and ancient castles. He then left to go back to South Korea and settles in his house again. A few months past and he finishes both Chinese and the flute! That was definitely a good year.

Year fifteen,

He stopped learning languages and focused on instruments now. So far he finished 2 instruments, guitar and flute, and 2 languages, Korean and Chinese. So now he started studying piano, a pretty overrated instruments, a lot of people play it and its super easy. So he started playing it. He got very tall this year and started dieting because of his anorexia. He became so skinny, but still averagely tall. He discovered that he doesn’t have a sexual preference... He just rarely feels attraction, but he does feel it on rare cases. So yeah, he discovered his sexuality. Another event that happened was his body hair... A catastrophe, Koreans didn’t really take the biggest pride in body hair, it wasn’t frowned upon it just wasn’t common. So he started shaving, every bit of his body, whenever a hair grows, he shaves it right off. And so he started worrying about skin care, he got many products from his mother that helped his skin and really made him look young, he also used makeup to hide any pimples that may affect his beauty. He has considered plastic/cosmetic surgery in the past but he thought it wouldn’t matter because he really thought he looked beautiful, and his family thought so too. Not only because his family is against the that side of beauty but also because he did, in fact look beautiful. He also started genuinely doing fashion, he put many different clothes for himself, his favourite was the outfit he wears till now, black jeans and a yellow t-shirt.

Year sixteen,

By the middle of this year he stopped growing, he stopped at 5’10, but still got skinnier because of his anorexia. Also by the middle of the year he got into Japanese, because he wanted to graduate at a Japanese school, so that happened. He also began working out to try and get some muscle rather than nothing since hes already very skinny. Months fly and he’s a little muscular and looks better than ever. He stopped working out by then, thinking its enough for the couple of years. Something he didn’t really get into was time, as mentioned before he never really had precision of the time around him because of his constant addictions and games he played as a child. He never really noticed, so it was a shock to him, and he didn’t really get over it in this year… He never acknowledged the fact that his time is much slower than others, it was like hes trapped in a bubble, with its unique time. So yeah that happened. He also embarked on more fashion designs, working with his mother on many arts and with his dad on fashion trends. And so, he got a suspender, which he didn’t add to his list before but it suited him well, he removed his old pants and replaced them with ripped black suspenders, one of the threads wasn’t really his height so the button popped- He thought it looked quite cute, and so he kept one thread off all the time. Another historical thing that happened this year was his birthday! It was another leap year, he felt happy since its his sweet sixteen and he could celebrate it on his original birth date. It wasn’t so interesting, he went to the movies with all of his family and watched a K-Drama series. But his parents surprised him with concert tickets to his favorite band, BTS. He liked their clothing style and loved their vocals, so he went there and enjoyed his time.

Year seventeen,

Grade 11, one of the hardest. He never struggled with school so it was pretty fine for him… He finished studying both the piano AND Japanese, he was ready to continue his school life in Japan and leave his parents proud. He had one more instrument he wanted to master, the drums. An instrument that’s very interesting with the sound waves it sends. So he got into that. He also got allergic to lactose…. It wasn’t really an allergy, he was lactose intolerant. So he couldn’t eat lactose anymore. He was devastated, no more cheese or milk! He could technically eat it but it wouldn’t be good for his insides… His older sister graduated from college at the time, and she went off to Germany to study. So it was only him, ready to leave it all and go study for the best, to become the biggest fashion icon in the world. He sat so much to study this year it affected his back severely, making him not flexible what so ever. It was really a devastating year, but he got the hang of it. By the end of the year he was able to graduate from grade 11 successfully, he was so happy! He even played at the graduation ceremony with the band as a guitarist. He was so successful, he finished off his life in Korea learning three languages and four instruments. He cried with happiness as he hugged his parents before leaving to Japan…..

Year eighteen……

He ended up in a city called Karakura, it had decent education, not the best social class. But he enjoyed the people and the school… He made some friends and decided to nominate himself to become the schools council president….

And this is where the story unfolds….
