On a serene summer day on July 7th, 2019 in the Tōhoku region of Japan, a large nest of Jungle Crows would be sitting, with five eggs in the nest, they each hatched one by one with Kaku being the largest of the hatchlings. Kaku would be a hungry little crow, and hungry for adventure, a year later he left his home nest to fend for his own. Kaku finally flew down to the lower areas of the mountains in Karakura, making a small nest in the forest. Kaku would be a natural scavenger, rotting through trash or anywhere to get some food, even begging locals. Kaku would finally meet Isla Kojima, his future owner, in the forest and she would give him food and lightly domesticating him. Kaku, a smart crow, learned to get food and other treats, he had to be nice. Kaku would now be the crow known and loved to this day. A sociable bird, he always takes part in interacting with fellow crows and some other animals.
