Since the invention worked better with adolescents, it was used mainly for them. That is why so many teenagers are around. Once you are implanted into the .. fake reality, your prior memories would be lost, and you'd only have an idea on the important parts... Such as, your hobbies, what you're talented at.. Before being implanted into the program, you have the freedom to chose whichever body shape you please. Which is why the common body shapes are hourglass, skinny and muscular. This invention was something that went on world wide, which is the reason for so many non Japanese people within the town. Only 3 other people are aware of it's existence... ???, ??? and ???... Mind you, a lot of people protested against how cruel and unusual it is to do that to the dead even if they're near extension.. So why don't we do it to the people who deserve it? Criminals.. They went to Juvie, where criminals on death row were in the batch of it all.. Now what do we do for the adults?.. We need it to be more believable for the test subjects don't we? The scientists. The people who contributed to the making of the project were implanted too. Of course, their memory was also lost.
