─────────────────── Station Appearance ──────────
Located just between Luxe Street and Masayoshi Boulevard, the Station’s alluring purple hue makes it stand out from the herd of buildings around it; a signature color to KA/News. Otherwise, one would also find that the tower nested at the top of the News Station draws attention from afar. The broadcasting tower is a properly constructed and engineered transmitter that allows for both a stylish appearance and a practical device to cover the farthest corners of the island with news.
Moving inward, KA/News station takes pride in its interior decoration, as it does with its extensive possessions in Karakura history. The front desk area, at first glance, presents itself with a perfect blend of modernity and comfort. TVs decorate the polished walls; displaying the latest piece of coverage at all times.
The door leading farther inside unlocks with a swipe of a Reporter’s ID; a safety precaution established to curtain the fragile equipment and archives from obstruction. However, dear reader, you’ll see for yourself just how homely yet professional the inside feels.
──────────────────────────── Reporter Services ────────────────────────────
Subsequently, the Station specifically works on two types of written news - Reports and Whizfeed Posts; both visible and accessible on our website. While one handles the more serious and in-depth topics, the latter offers digestible entertainment. KA/News transforms a person’s discoveries and insights into shared information that the city may have overlooked. No matter how minuscule, each piece fits into a jigsaw hence the station greatly encourages you to communicate your ideas and opinions with its reporters.
Lastly, the frequent news broadcasts that ring the citizens’ phones detail the current weather, shocking revelations, and most favorably the day's highlighted song! As a reporter, I prefer going up to the townsfolk and asking them for any song recommendations they feel would make everybody’s days a little brighter!

──────────────────────────── Behind The Scenes ────────────────────────────
Each office heftily possesses an array of tech that has yet to meet its match. The extraordinary emphasis on available office space may be overwhelming, but it boils down to a few things: Reporter Offices, Interview Rooms, and Data Storage Rooms.
- Reporter Offices are admittedly most of what you’d regularly see in the building - offering the station’s staff all the tools and space needed to comfortably perform their duties of writing reports, delegating tasks among peers, and all the while being in the comfort of their creative choices in office design.
- Interview Rooms are located sparsely. These rooms are used for private conversations between reporters and citizens in deep questioning and storytelling, which proves paramount in the making of a report.
- Data Storage Rooms are server rooms containing the station’s most valuable components from keeping the website running to providing easy communication between reporters. These are some of the few inaccessible rooms to anyone except Senior Reporters and the Publisher.
Finally, one of the most notable areas is the live broadcasting room; especially used for breaking news that often hits the surface of people’s TVs. Unfortunately, many would recall the specified room for its most horrific live occurrence during ex-reporter Darius Ikemori’s. . . bone-chilling beat up.
──── Interview ────────────────────────
As we near the end of the deep look into KA/News, I scheduled separate interview sessions with Reporter Kaede Tenorio and Senior Reporter Yamato DeLuca-Hanazono. With this opportunity, I squeezed out bits of information that diverged from the physical descriptions made in previous sections. The edits made in both footages are minimal to avoid cutting off dialogue, and they are specifically done to shorten the lengths to ~10 minutes.

The video was shot in an interview office environment. Facing each other, Kaede Tenorio and Zachery Carluccio are seen sitting on cushioned seats.

“Thank you for accepting my invitation for an interview, Kaede!”
The male revealed a paper stack of notes he had been carrying on his person and calmly waited for any input from the interviewee before continuing.
“Of course! How could I have said no?”
She let out a small chuckle and let the interviewer continue with his questions.
“It’s not every day a reporter makes a report on. . well, the station itself. Eh? How long have you been a reporter?”
“I have been a reporter since…”
She counted with her fingers.
“October.. September.. Late August! So you could say almost five or four months.”
Nodded her head in agreement with her comment.
“That’s an impressive amount of time! Sure beats the. . what, almost a week - that I’ve been here?”

The footage suddenly shifts to a phone screen’s resolution as it cuts to Zachery sitting at his office desk.

“Two months now!”
He offered a sharp grin as he pulled up a peace sign with his free hand.

“For starters, what does your day-to-day life look like as a reporter?”
“As a reporter… I would be looking around for interesting things in town and actually want to report about them; finding information, making super cool magic drinks, and making my ID appear!”
As she said this last comment, she leaned over the table reaching her hand near to her face and making a little twist with her fingers. Her ID appears out of nowhere! She then made another twist making it disappear.
“Also hanging out with other reporters! That’s… my favorite part.”
“You’ve gotta teach me that someday-!”
The male rested his back against the blue couch, continuing.
“So, how much time do you spend at the station regularly? From what I hear, our town is full to the brim with interesting stories and backgrounds; actively chasing those reports shouldn’t be so time-consuming, right?”
“We don’t have to search for reports allllll the time. Spending time in the station is mostly for fun or just hanging out. Although we are ‘on duty’ almost all day, we don’t have to stay here all the time - besides the ones who choose to live here.”
She clears her throat before continuing.
“Anyway… As in the last point, we mostly choose things we are interested in and know how to get good info easily. Once we’ve got our report, we just need approval and then we can let everyone see it!”
“I see. Well, are there any tasks that you feel are unnecessary while you report - or rather anything you think can be tedious while on duty?”
“The unnecessary part is mostly depending on the one who writes the report. Personally, I don’t! As for the other point… Tedious things on duty would be dealing with those who mess with the reports; giving fake info or just having us lose our time… Or lowkey dealing with other reporters especially the ones who peel their nuggets…”
The last comment is obviously directed at someone…
“Peel their nuggets…?”
He then retracted back to his seat and cleared his throat with a soft giggle.
“I see… That’s to be expected, eh? Fake info and all that.”
Shuffling through the pages of his notes, he continued.
“How interactive is your boss, the publisher, with our reporters?”
“Uhm… Well, although I don’t talk too much with him, I know he interacts with us. He’s very nice! I see him at events and sometimes he’s around; we chat… get along… He’s nice.”
“I find his sense of fashion very agreeable, heh!”
Shuffling to the last few questions on the paper stack, he continued.
“Though I would imagine the head publisher’s appearance is mirrored with the station’s appearance itself! What do you think of the area you work in? The front desk, equipment, offices…”
“They’re actually very good! We have many things provided by Kaz such as furniture, microphones, broadcast equipment… It’s very very nice.”
“Do you find the broadcasting equipment easy to work with?”
“Yeah! Just a couple of buttons… A microphone and we are all set! It’s very easy to use honestly. Bip Bup Bip and then we talk about the weather and other things.”
“Finally, Kaede…”
He pressed his back against the couch, readjusting his seating position.
“Tell us about your favorite encounter or occurrence while working at the News Station.”
“Ohh, I have one… I would lowkey say it but I don’t want the other reporters getting mad at me. So, I’ll just talk about that one time Yamato, Kazuo, and I broke that one window just to replace it. I used my lobster outfit! It was pretty fun to do.
“Whaa? What was the point of breaking that window in the first place?”
He pondered about it while shifting his head to the side.
“Guess the full story will be left to the imagination, eh? Anyway, thank you so much for your time, Kaede! Is there anything you would like to add before we wrap up?”
“Unedited, by the way. Whatever- that was.”

”Thank you for allowing this opportunity, Mister Hanazono.”
He brought forward a notebook.
"I'll only be asking you questions regarding the News Station; mirroring the perspective of a non-reporter. Does that sit well with you, sir?"
“That is absolutely fine, hopefully, this report can bring some truth to the eyes of some who believe all we do is sit around all day and twiddle our thumbs.”
"I sure hope so as well!"
Brushing it off lightly, perhaps a topic for another day.
“To begin, I would appreciate it if you stated your full name and position within the News Station."
“Yes, I am Yamato DeLuca-Hanazono, Senior Reporter for the Karakura News.”
"That's quite a feat, Mr. Hanazono."
He nodded in affirmation.
"-And how long have you been a reporter at the Station?"
“I joined not too long ago, I won't give out times, but it has been a good bit now.”
He took a brief pause before speaking again.
“'When I joined, it did not take me long to achieve the Senior Reporter status. Two months in fact is how long it took. I wasn't aiming for it, ironically, but it was bestowed upon me in the greatest honor.”
"Two months. . ? Wow!"
He turned his head to face the camera, he'd give a look of 'you seeing this?!' before turning back to the interviewee.
"Consider this a late congratulations from a- barely a week reporter-."
Chuckling softly at the comment, he rested his back against the chair.
“Though I would imagine your ranking came from hard work and knowing the inside of the News Station like it's the back of your hand.”
Then offered a shut-eye smile, he'd pick up the notebook once again.
“Chii. . And how much time did you spend in the Station comparatively from back then and now? Do you actively chase reports still?”
“I spend a lot of time in and out of the news station, while I do get reports often, I try and give them to other reporters to give them something to do rather than they have nothing to do besides sit at a front desk and report about the weather. Nowadays, my time is spent helping the new reporters, summarizing articles, and a few other- secret projects that I cannot let anyone find out about.”
“Very interesting. . 'Specially that last bit. So, what does your day-to-day life look like as a Senior Reporter? Does anything spontaneous ever happen at the Station that would set the working days differently from others?”
“My day isn't too chaotic. Some days something can go down like- my brother being an idiot again or like one time there was a speech given to us by Mayor Ami Akai about some changes. I was the only reporter available so I attended. It all just depends on the actions of others.”
“It's those moments that keep a workspace lively, eh?”
Finally opened his book of notes, he took a quick glance at the scribbles before locking eyes once again.
“What are some of the crucial parts of your job, do you feel? - Things that you believe others wouldn't necessarily be capable of doing? - And perhaps any tedious or momentum-breaking tasks that come up along the way that inhibit your duty?”
“As previously mentioned, I do the summarized reports here for the news station. I type them and store them in the archive. What really gets people, is the amount of writing they do during the month and this can be for both questions is the writer's block or burnout that can come from a lot of writing.”
“Chii. . And what of your higher-up? That being the well-known Publisher Kazuo DeLuca, does he actively check up and; or interact with other reporters?”
“Kazuo? Of course, even when he isn't around much he always seems to be checking up on things when he can. Even when he isn't around, he looks upon me to make sure things run how he wants them to run.”
“And what else can you reveal about the News Station itself? Its origins. . -and perhaps even the general appeal of the building. Do you find this space suitable for the occupation?”
“A fun fact that few people know, is the news isn't actually under the Town Hall's control. We are our own system, just like the school is. We are a side branch of a news company out of Tokyo. But for the building, both Kazuo and I have renovated the space to accommodate the reporters in this ever-changing town. Plus with how busy we can be at times, we want the space to be comfortable, yet professional”
“As expected, really! Very easy on the eyes- others even mentioned the Station was so comfortable; that they'd choose to spend the night in it. Now, approaching the final few questions that I have. . Or rather, the last question actually!”
He raised his pitch to an upbeat tone to match the energetic vibe of coming to a conclusion.
“What is your favorite memory or encounter while on duty at the Station?”
“Unknowing to a few, I used to work with my wife in the office just right behind me. While it was a short time, it was some of my fondest memories to work alongside her, even if I was technically her higher up.”
He suddenly said.
“Oh wait- hold on I need to go. I need to go gift shopping for my wife.”

─────────────────────── Conclusion ──
Similar to multiple other factions, the News Station offers its workers room for professionalism while also exhibiting the look and feel of a family. It never feels empty - especially with Timmy, Sarah, and Regie who are Roombas. Yes, the Roombas that keep the workplace clean and abundant with activity.
KA/News makes its presence known in the city despite not having a connection to Karakura’s Government through its extensive history, broadcasting tools, and participation in a great majority of town events. Not to mention the necessary communication between its reporters and the townsfolk which is readily available via the News Hotline: (020) 980-4487
