Hello Karakura! This is Tomochin Uemara with some light-hearted news for you.
Pretty blue summer skies and hot days have left us, and Autumn has rolled around the corner. We are in store for a season full of beautiful brown leaves and a tad bit of wind! That’s right, it’s officially time for Halloween -- and the pumpkin craze is just beginning. Starbucks locations in the mainland have re-introduced their Fall drink collections, including the infamous Pumpkin-Spice Latte. Before you even know it, we’ll all be carving out pumpkins for the 31st!
So, what importance does Halloween actually have?
Karakura has been influenced incredibly by western media and celebrations, with many properties already hanging up faux spider webs and carved pumpkins out on display; it’s also likely that we’ll see a few Halloween dances or parties popping up. In addition to this, many citizens coming from districts such as Shibuya may be accustomed to massive street parties and over-the-top costumes. . .
Some people may take this as an opportunity to express themselves with a wacky costume, others to take on an entirely new identity for the night. Halloween is different for everyone, and celebrated in unique ways depending on who you are and how you roll. Regardless of the reason we’re out partying, we should all stay safe and take care of each other on nights out!
If you’re looking to celebrate Halloween in Karakura, we recommend starting the month off by going around the city and taking a look at all of the different decorations - from the massive pumpkin in the plaza to the towers and houses covered in jack o’ lanterns. You can expect many wacky costumes from Karakura’s creative minds and most definitely loads of parties to commemorate the spooky holiday. . Get pumpkin carving!
