SEPTEMBER 7TH 2021

Only a few days after the occurrences within the courtroom, and even fewer days after the riot outbreak at the Karakura Police Department did more tragedy strike. If you wish to recall the previous events, you may do so here & here.

While the event happened some time ago, it makes none of what happened any less significant. Firstly. . .the Mayor’s speech. A group of college students sat silently outside town hall; peacefully, contrary to the last “protest”, or riot, as most citizens have dubbed it as. These college-aged individuals held signs, those of which presented their good intentions of gathering outside of the building. Compared to the last attempt at “justice”, you could call this one a success.

Their silence brought forth the Karakura Police Department as security, and eventually, Mayor Alex Koji’s presence. Alongside the Mayor was none other than freshly-assigned Police Commissioner Reizo Tokushima, who finally addressed the riots that broke out a few days earlier. There, promises were made to guide the city on a safer route. Needless to say, the Commissioner’s first impression was certainly cleared up that day.

A transition from Tokushima to Koji allowed the second mayoral speech of Karakura to commence; this time, it didn’t regard a resignation.

. . . Claims were made by the Mayor that the protest was “sabotaged” - Where it's peaceful beginnings were intentionally turned to be the worst. Though, it leaves you to wonder just what citizens of Karakura would wish for such a horrendous affair to unfold. And there, the silent group of protestors was praised. Many questions were left in the air, and still, many go unanswered.

Karakura had been filled with hope, for a moment. With apologies on behalf of the government, reassurances that it’d be a city driven to greatness, and even promises of funeral services, one could assume that business was going well. Even the mention of rooting out corruption and injustice to prevent future cases similar to the one of Myriad vs. Popovich.

However, all of that hope was quickly discarded as a masked figure appeared atop the roof of town hall. Unfortunately, the citizens saw it first and before their warnings could have been heeded, it was too late. Regretfully, a piece of information was revealed.

The next sequence of events, and, arguably the “breaking news”, all followed up the Mayor getting stabbed.

[ What a lack of detail. . . ]

Karakura’s Police Department and Emergency Services worked diligently and no true damage was caused by the amateur assassin. Nevertheless, action will be put forth by the government of Karakura.

Is it the truth, what the Commissioner and Mayor spoke that day? Is it even safe to have faith in their word? While progress has been made, there is only one way to find out.
Keep up-to-date with Karakura News for government-related updates!!!

Take care, Karakura.
