After a much needed break, I have come back to SRP. I have been playing daily for about 4 to 6 hours, mostly on my main account, KatTheCat. Overall, SRP has been stuck with me for the past 2 years, logging on every once and a while. I’ve taken a short break to help my mental health but now I feel I am ready to come back to the server with my mental health being improved and my obsession with it. Regarding faction activity, I want to be on as often as physically possible. I see many shop owners are never online unless they are opening shops and I feel like that does not give them or their character an overall connection with the customers, not really putting the roleplay aspect of the shopkeeper in.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
I fully acknowledge if I'm inactive I will be demoted and my shop will close down, it is my responsibility to be active and keep up with my responsibilities.

I do! I feel the name at the current moment doesn't fit the theme unlike the new name I have chosen Atsui-Kanji!
Why do you want to become a Shopkeeper?:
Becoming a shopkeeper on SRP is something I’ve wanted for a long time but I have not really put much thought into until a few weeks ago, it made me realize It’s not just about owning a shop or selling items it's about being part of what makes the server special. The shopping faction brings so much to the server. It gives players something to look forward to, whether it's picking up a unique item that helps tell their story or just an item to help them add more character. The faction is about making the experiences for everyone and adding to the roleplay in a meaningful way. With the auction system broken, it has been hard for players to get new items or even sell items. I'm willing to put in the effort and face whatever challenges come with the role because I know how much it can help the server. I don’t just want to be someone who logs on to sell things and logs off. I want to be active and roleplay as a shopkeeper to make people feel welcomed and feel like they make a difference in their roleplay.
The SD Faction Impact:
Personally, everytime I see a shop open I sprint to go buy something. It gets me very excited that I might be able to add something cute to my character, I want to impact people in that same way. As I stated previously, what people add to their character really helps them get into roleplay and feel more confident to express themselves. This is all because of the faction, if the shopping faction would not have existed there would be no roleplaying aspect to buying an item for a character, there would be no meaning to those flowers someone might want to give their IC partner. For example, in the shopping district a man calls his friends telling them that the flower shop is open and he needs help to pick out the perfect kind of flowers to impress his partner. See what I mean? It adds a roleplay aspect to shopping opposed to them just going to auction (I’m aware it's broken, but for example) and buying the cheapest flowers they can find it adds more character and experience. The shopping faction really impacts players and I want to help people bring their characters to life with some accessories!
Server Impact:
Being a shopkeeper is more than just buying stuff, it's about putting your shop out there in fun ways. For example, the Black Friday sale that recently happened! It was a way to engage with their customers in a fun way and I want to experience something like that to add more connection to the shop and the customers. Memorable experiences like that mean a lot to characters, it could be where they first met, or where they propose to their wife. The overall SRP server has taught me a lot it made me realize how much of an impact shops really do have on the server. The server really has a huge impact on ALL the factions.

What do you plan to do with your shop, and what makes it unique?:
I plan on making a hell based store which I've decided to name Asui-Kanji. The name itself comes from the words for "fire" or "hot," in Japanese which perfectly fits into the hell theme I'm thinking of! I chose this name because I wanted something that immediately grabs people’s attention and it is fitting for the overall vibe I want to create. What I really think makes this shop special is the touches that will bring the shop to life. I’m putting a lot of thought into every detail, from the custom uniforms the staff will wear to the overall layout and design of the space. I want the shop to feel like you’re stepping right into hell that’s as scary as it is welcoming! What I think will make Asui-Kanji more special than the other accessory shops is our "Wheel of Death.” Now, you might be wondering, What exactly is the Wheel of Death? It's fun, and a bonus! Anyone who purchases more than 10 items in a single visit will get the chance to spin The Wheel Of Death!! The Wheel of Death will offer different levels of discounts, it’s a way to reward the customers while making their visit exciting! Here is our discount wall! To get these discounts we will be using the /roll command

ˋ°•*⁀➷ Now I have spoken about The Wheel of Death, we need to talk about the uniforms! The uniforms will be uniquely made to fit the theme of hell so it doesn't break the aesthetic of the store, not only will staff be required to wear these uniforms but they will be required to wear devil horns to fully submerge into the hell aesthetic !

ˋ°•*⁀➷ As for the decor of the shop, I really want to go with the ‘underworld hell theme’! The store will be dark academia/grunge themed. There will be lots of red and dark brown/black colors really fulfilling the underworld feel. Having a darker palette will impact the feel of the store making it feel more eerie, also letting the shop look like an old antique store with a dark twist! There would be fake cracked mirrors and windows, strange demonic drawings on the walls and small speakers that make strange noises. Little details like these will make the shop feel alive, like it has its own story or is part of another world. Some examples below:

ˋ°•*⁀➷ For the shop’s exterior, I want to make it mysterious to draw people in, making them want to come inside. The outside will have the look of an old antique shop like a place that just sells forgotten treasures at cheap prices. I want it to feel welcoming but also a little odd, like there’s more to it than meets the eye. The idea is the concept of demons disguising themselves as kind and harmless to lure people in, only to reveal their true nature once it’s too late. That’s exactly the vibe I want the shop to have, innocent and charming on the outside, dark and eerie on the inside.

Event: The Demon King
Since the shop is haunted by demons, I want to add a spooky and interactive twist to the experience. Every so often, when the shop opens, the lights will flicker and suddenly go out. Smoke will go across the floor, creating an unsettling vibe. Then, out of nowhere, the Demon King will make a dramatic entrance catching everyone off guard. The Demon King will pick one customer to be the “sacrifice,” leading them to the back of the shop while everyone else stands there shaking in their lil boots. But don’t worry it’s all just for the event! The chosen “sacrifice” will actually get a coupon for their next visit as a little reward for being part of the event.

Event: Blood Moon Sale
The shop is decorated for a “blood moon” with red lighting and smoky effects, exclusive accessories, like “Blood Moon Earrings” or “Demon Claw Rings,” are only available during the event this event will only be hosted every 6 months Customers who spend a certain amount get entered into a raffle for exclusive accessories!

Event: Soul Exchange
A demon will come out of the blue and will ask the customers for a soul exchange, customers can “trade their soul” for a discount. Players fill out a "soul contract" agreeing to publicly humiliating themselves or other silly things to get their discount in front of the whole store


I also want to incorporate holiday events! For example, since Christmas is coming up Krampus would be incorporated! I feel there so much potential with events for the store and I can't wait to host them.

What will you sell in your shop?:
We are for sure going to sell custom items to make the shop stand out. Having exclusive items that fit the theme will make our shop more visited since customers won’t be able to find them anywhere else. As people submit their custom items we’ll carefully go through them to pick what fits best with the overall theme of the shop. These custom items will give people more reasons to visit and keep coming back for something special. We’ll also sell a variety of accessories and toys, and for those looking for something a little more grown-up, we’re planning to have a 20+ section with alcohol!

The shopkeeper takes care of a lot to keep the store running smoothly. They keep track of sales to see how well the business is doing, make sure rent is paid on time, and handle taxes to stay in the clear with the IRS (We love the IRS here). The shopkeeper is also in charge of events and pay rates for the employees!

Managers are the ones who help keep the shop running smoothly, aside from the shopkeeper. They make sure that the employees are doing their jobs correctly and that everything is organized and ready to go for both opening and closing. Managers are also responsible for training new hires, making sure they get up to speed with how things work around the shop. They keep an eye on how everyone’s doing, offer support when needed, and help make sure everything is in check so the shop can operate without any issues.

Cashiers are the ones who take care of customers' orders and make sure they get the items they ask for. When a customer places an order, the cashier will grab the item and help the customer checkout. If a customer wants to see something on display, the cashier will show it to them and answer any questions. Basically, cashiers are the ones who interact with customers the most, making sure they leave with exactly what they came for.

What is your hiring system?
Our hiring system will be pretty simple! We will have a discord server with a channel that says "Applications" there will be a link to a google form with all the info and questions on the form, then we will have a in character application to make sure their character is the right choice for our shop. After that we will try out best to background check characters and players!

Now we know what the player can write with their own time we want to see what they can write on the fly and if it lines up with what they put on the application! If we like their characters energy/vibe we will move them onto the final step!

We will check if the player has any bans and why, depending on the ban we will deny the application. If we figure out this play has a bad history with players recently (within the last 5 months)

What rules will employees follow?
No stealing: Employees must never take items from the shop, whether for personal use or otherwise. All items belong to the store

No giving away items: Employees are not allowed to give away items for free

Always remain in character: Employees must stay in character at all times while working in the shop. Whether interacting with customers or managing tasks, staying in character helps maintain the feel of the shop.

No favoritism: All customers should be treated equally, regardless of their status or relationship with the staff.

What experiences do you have with roleplay?
I have been playing SRP for about 2 years with many characters, these characters ranging from gang characters to teacher characters. I have also participated in mcrp in other places then srp some ranging to youtube. Overall I have lots of experience with roleplay and I really enjoy it! Here are a few examples of detail rp I would use if i were a shopkeeper

"Honestly, being a shopkeeper feels like the perfect way to combine everything I’m passionate about. Ever since i was a kid, I’ve loved fashion but not in the sense of modeling or wearing fancy clothes. I’ve started creating outfits, and coming up with designs! When I went to college, I studied fashion and earned my master’s degree. it was an amazing experience, but something felt off, like something was missing. I enrolled in law and marketing programs because I wanted to find something that really sparked my interest. Law taught me a lot but I wasn't really as interested in it as I was in marketing! In marketing I found my passion . I loved learning how to create something meaningful, sell something meaningful, for the people."

"Why did you choose the theme you did?"
" I feel like most stores are very bland nowadays, and the ones that do have a theme all have the same formula. It's either pastel colors or neon colors with black, it looks wonderful don't get me wrong but it's overused. I chose the hellish underworld theme because its something new and interesting I feel it has so much potential to create something new and overall create an immersive experience for the customers."

1. You reserve the right to change the name of your store at any time (with permission from your faction lead).
2. You may build your own shop's interior and exterior (with permission from your faction lead; if you cannot build, an SRP Builder can be assigned).
3. You may have your own rules and policies for your store so long as it complies with Karakura law In-Character.
4. You may set your own item prices (you will be required to update your faction lead when prices are changed to update your restock prices).
