How does your character know this language?: June Fahr grew up in Saltcoats Scotland. Due to her mother's background, her family is one of the few families that have a french herritage in that part of Scotland. Her mother, Lillian, and June's grandmother moved to Scotland when Lillian was 16 years of age. As she lived in Paris france before moving to scotland. This making Lillian's first language, French. It was the only language she used for a long time, until she learned a bit of scottish and married a scottish man. When she had June, her first husband divorced her, and she was left a single mom. She went back to using french, since she spoke it better then she spoke scottish. As June grew older, she became more and more fluent in French and became her first language. Because June's mom, Lillian, only used french in the household and taught June the language through basic sentences and common textbooks. Also learning some scottish, as she lived in small village which required it to communicate with her peers. June's mom got a new husband, and they continued their lives together. At the age of 14, June and her diverse family, moved to Karakura, Japan, due to June's new dad's job opportunites. June started attending classes at Karakura high, making friends, becoming friends with friend's family, and learning new languages along the way! She still lives in Karakura to this day, and is still fluent in french, as uses quite often with her mom and friends she met in and out of french class.
