It would be a cool suggestion, though I do believe it either has to do with MC function going along with how they created 3rd person, along with the fact that it is the plugin that displays you still standing in 3rd person. I am not entirely sure if SRP would be able to do that.

I miss when /lay was a thing. No clue why they ever removed it!
