Sadly, I just came back from a break but I am trying to get back to being active. I spent over 12 hours on the server on my first day back. I plan on getting more active during the weeks to come. When I get back to my original schedule, I will be playing 8 or more hours on SRP until school comes back and going down to fewer hours, but I still will be active.

What is your motivation for applying?:
In my time away from SRP, I have been thinking a lot. I mostly missed all of my friends in the police force and wanted to meet more friends. I came back recently and wanted a new roleplay, other than being an adult and a student. The best experience in my time was during the KPD with roleplaying with gangs and just co-workers/police officers. I was also encouraged to come back to the KPD by some members and do think it is my time to come back for a while. That is my motivation for applying back to the force.
What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
The knowledge at the moment I can think of police work is:
- Patrols - Officers take patrols, walking around Karakura, creating a sense of safety. By patrolling, citizens feel safer that crime can be quickly dealt with and doesn’t have to call for everything. While patrolling, you need to be aware of your surroundings and who is around you. In some places, you will need your taser out when finding situations such as assaults or weapons. While someone else has KPS/APS, you will still need to follow daily tasks like patrols as well.
- Rankings - Of course, I know ranks in the KPD. You start as a cadet and start your training. If you pass the test after two weeks, you go on to become a police officer. After there, you keep working your way up to the next role, if you earned it. After a police officer, it goes to a corporal. Corporal turns into Sergeant and then to Lieutenant in the main division. In the detective division, if you are picked, you start as a DC or a Detective Constable. You train to become a DI which is a Detective Inspector. Once promoted, you become a DCI (Detective Chief Inspector). The one who carries the division is the DSI or Detective Superintendent Inspector. The one who carries the main division is the Commissioner. Certain ranks in the force can carry a Glock-17 and have cars.
- Arrests - After arresting someone, you need to go back to the station, of course. You would need to go up to the prisoner's cell and tell them what they are in for. Putting everything into logs and taking mugshots are also other things for dealing with an arrest. With all this happening, your character could get injured, from the inmate and outside of the station. Arresting is a huge risk for your character as an officer.
- Small tasks - Officers have many small tasks, even if it doesn’t seem busy. Officers take people’s reports and have to fill everything out in a book! They need to deal with inmate care, visits, and even CCTV. Of course, that isn’t all. There is much more an officer needs to take care of. They deal with bats, calls, and warrants! Police do a lot and it can be very tough.
- Equipment - Each rank in the force gets something special! For example, police officers can get a badge. Corporals can get pepper spray and a crowbar and detectives can get Glock. I believe sergeants as well can get a Glock if an emergency is happening.
Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
Police have a major role in SchoolRP. It is one of the hardest roles to be part of and to understand completely. They are important as they ensure the safety of the citizens of the town. They arrest criminals and deal with reports, making it fair against the criminal side in SchoolRP. Without police, the entire town would possibly be burnt to the ground and gangs everywhere. It would be like a purge since there is no good to balance everything. This is why police are so important to this server.

Describe your character; how they look, and what makes them unique?
Hinami would be a male standing at 6 '4". Strange since his parents are both short. While looking at his face, you can see his blue eyes that look like the daytime sky. His straight brown hair was split directly in the middle. A few pimples would come to say hello at times. No face is perfect, right? Looking down at his arms, you could see some red dots. Seemed like eczema and it is. He has the perfect posture every gamer wishes they had. Lucky.
Hinami Xiao is very talented, surprisingly! He can always make up a random joke out of nowhere but it is hard to make him laugh. Most likely knows all the jokes you make. He is always in the mood to make new friends and to talk about anything, as long as it’s positive! You might think “Wow! He couldn’t be professional, can he?” but he is! He knows when to stop joking and to be smart with his words and actions.
What makes him unique? Luckily you asked! One thing about how unique he is, he is afraid of chocolate. It just looks disgusting to him. Another funny thing about him is he cannot pronounce vein or ecosystem. Thank god he is not a doctor trying to say their vein is gone or something. Anywhere he goes, he will bring an apple with him as it is his lucky charm! The last unique thing, which is good, is he can adapt to change very easily! New plan? He has it in the bag.
How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
During a professional situation, of course, Hinami would dress the part. He would be polite to the people in the area and even help them if possible. His parents taught him well, didn’t they? He maintains focus on the person who is conversing with him, taking everything in to understand. He spoke his mind to clear things up if needed. He knows when to speak and when to not. While in the situation, he would respect anyone, just as if they were family to him. Even if this was a casual situation, he would still treat it like a professional one.
What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
Hinami has always thought of co-workers as friends, close friends. He thinks that if you work together, you should at least be friends. Otherwise, it would go south. He loves working with people. During teamwork, he has a few rules to follow. He doesn’t think teamwork should mean giving anyone a hard time or making one do all the work. Everyone needs to work together and talk everything out. He also looks out for all of his co-workers! What a nice man.
Do you see yourself as a leader or a follower? Why?
Hinami would most likely be a follower but could be a leader. He isn’t the best at making plans. It takes a while for him to find the best “route” and can’t always make his mind up. As a follower, you need to have good ears for listening and to be easily taught. If a follower was needed, Hinami would be the guy. Sure, Hinami could make okay plans but not always the best. This is why Hinami would most likely see himself as a follower.
BACKSTORY (100+ words)
On March 24th, 1990, Hinami Xiao and his brothers were born. He was a triplet and named after apples. His parents were always busy with their jobs. Daisuke Xiao was a detective and Aster Saiky was the Hospital Director at the time. They didn’t spend much time with him. He lived with his grandparents in another town, one over from Karakura. Hinami was always a social butterfly, talking by the age of one. His grandparents seemed like his parents to him. Even called his grandma his mom! His parents always visited once in a while. Daisuke told him stories about being a detective and an officer. Even if it was made up, Hinami would still be fascinated.
At the age of five, Daisuke wanted him to become an officer! Daisuke made him take classes in swimming to get him in shape and to make friends, which worked. He became an excellent swimmer. Hinami went to competitions and even won some medals from it. In middle school, at eleven years old, he stopped swimming and went onto track. He is a fast one. At the age of fourteen, Daisuke quit his job and took Hinami to Karakura to live with him. He switched schools and quit track.
In Karakura, he made lots of friends and even the commissioner back then, Preston Herrington. Bad experience from meeting him but that is a story for the next time. He was amazing at volleyball and soccer. He didn’t want to join any teams at the time and focused on what he wanted to become. He wanted to be in the police force like his father wanted. He said to his father one day, “I want to become the commissioner, the scary guy!” This was funny to Daisuke and his friends. He kept those friends for a long time.
There comes a place where you switch schools. Of course, they didn’t move. Hinami graduated high school and went to college. He went to another part of Japan where he could study to become a police officer or even a detective. The amount this person studied was insane! He was living on coffee at this point. He eventually got his master’s degree in criminal justice. He waited a while with this degree. Thinking if he wanted to become an officer and risk his entire life.
After a couple of years of working a few other jobs, he finally made the decision! He wanted to become a police officer! He wanted to make his father proud. Going back to where his father worked, Karakura, he took an application and filled it out. Hoping for the best there is to come. He finished it in about two days, turning it back in and waiting. Sitting with friends and smelling some flowers.
SECTION 2: GENERAL KNOWLEDGE
Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
You cannot legally own a pocket knife in Karakura. It is illegal to own or carry around a pocket knife. If you do have a pocket knife on you, you will be arrested for minor possession of illegal weaponry.
Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription
Five medical items that don’t need a prescription are paracetamol, birth control, cough syrup, a band-aid, and a cane. They all have a limit on how much they can get though.
If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
If I saw one of my co-workers physically assault an inmate, I would pull them aside and ask them what is going on in the situation. If it wasn’t a situation where the assault was needed, I would go to someone higher in rank than me and tell them what happened. I would believe if a baton was mugged and was being assaulted, the assault from a baton would be necessary.
What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
Of course, if I saw my co-worker being assaulted, I would help. Depending on where it was and what the situation is, I would need to either use the taser or baton. If I had my taser, I would tase them but if I had only my baton, I would go behind and hit them over the head to make them pass out and send them off to their cell.
What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
If I found out my co-worker is corrupt and is helping a criminal organization, I would first need to find out ICly. If I did find out ICly, I would get proof and tell a higher-up. If I didn’t have proof, I would still go and tell someone that the character is corrupt so that they could watch them as well.
How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
I would care for a criminal trying to bribe me. I would stand my ground and keep saying no. If they kept trying to bribe me, I would simply fine them or even jail them. If they kept trying to bribe me in the cell, I would leave.
