APPLICATION INFORMATION

What position are you applying for?:

I’m applying for the role of Lawyer.

What is your motivation for applying?:
My motivation for joining the government faction is pretty simple: I want something new to put my energy into. I’ve been on the volleyball team for a few months now, and I love my team, but there’s always more you can add onto your SRP plate, and I’ve been craving something that hits differently, something that has me use a lot more of my brain. And lately I’ve been trying to figure out where I fit in with adult roleplay. My adult faction selection is pretty limited. A few years back, I was a Psychiatrist for a few months, I was also a teacher not long ago, and most recently, I was a professor. All of these positions were fun in their own way; they all had specific roles you had to be prepared to take on, and it worked for a while.

Realistically, being an adult on the server could go two ways, amazingly, where you find a faction where you actually fit in and have fun, or you dont, and most likely get on he adult character and hop off because you got bored. I ended up going through the Constitution and the rights, just trying to understand how everything works together, not because I had to, but because I genuinely got sucked in. I realized that understanding how the government operates could be both challenging and rewarding. It seems like the perfect balance of intellectual stimulation and creativity, something that could truly engage me in a way volleyball hasn’t.

At the end of the day, I just want a space where I can challenge myself, work with a team, and have fun building something meaningful. The government faction hits all of that for me.

Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:
I do, and check it quite often to see if anything has changed. And if accepted, I will try my best to remember them.

What are your goals for being in Government Faction?:
My goals for the government faction come to the fact that I want to contribute more to the server. I’ve been on this server for a while with different characters, and I believe only 3 of them had IDs, and that’s not because I secretly hated my character and wanted them to be ID-less, but after a while, you get bored waiting for one in the lobby. I would like to see the Town Hall less of a ghost town and more of an enjoyable, less AFK-y part of Karakura.

In your own words, describe the different roles of the Government Faction:
Lawyers are responsible for taking on cases and defending the people they represent. Their job is to pay close attention to every detail their client gives them, this is because a case can grow and eventually be brought into a full court hearing. When that happens, the lawyer is the one who stands up and defends their client, whether they’re a defendant or a plaintiff.

Judges are like the king/queen of the courtroom. They make sure everything is fair, and they’ll end up deciding the outcome of the case based on the law and evidence provided. Judges are also responsible for maintaining order in the courtroom, ensuring all parties follow proper procedures.

Governors are the heads of the state’s government. They usually make the main decision-maker while overseeing the law, budgets, and how everything runs on a day-to-day basis.

The deputy mayor is the mayor’s main assistant. They’ll step up when the mayor is unavailable to help with the city’s needs. They’ll handle projects for the state, coordinate departments, and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes so the city doesn't fall apart when big decisions are needed.

The Mayor runs the place! They’re responsible for making decisions and keeping things running when it comes to public safety. They keep direction in the city so things don’t go off the rails.

Do you acknowledge that upon being accepted, you can be subject to removal at any given time?:
Yes, I understand this factor.

Have you read & agreed to follow the Government Faction rules?:
Yes. I agree to follow the rules & expectations set for me by this faction.

IN CHARACTER SECTION

Full name:

Viktoriya Ivankov

Preferred title (Mr., Mrs., etc.):
Ms.

Current age:
36 years old.

Date of birth:
December 23 1989

Academic Background:

“After finishing school, I took a year off to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I decided to begin lessons again at Kazan Innovative University to start studying law. I went for about four years, up until I took my LSAT. I ended up doing well and started towards my Juris Doctorate. It took me a while, but eventually I started studying for my bar exam. I didn't pass the first, or second, or even third time, but finally, the fourth time did it for me."

Work experience:
“After my bar, I didn't really know where to take myself. I started looking around online for anything that would suit me, but wasn't very lucky for some time. Until I found someone who was looking for others to start a law firm, the only issue was that the office would be in Slovakia. I started talking with him more about what we’d do, and after some time, I sided with his antics. We ended up having our own firm for around 5 years, until we got a divorce. Now I'm just looking to start anew.”

Nationality & born location:
"I'm Ukrainian and Russian... I grew up in Kazan, which is in the southwest of Russia."

Criminal record:
N/A

What makes you a good candidate for this job?:
"Well, my ex-husband would tell you I'm stubborn and love a good debate. Is he wrong? No, not at all, but to be fair, that is only the smallest piece of who I am. Like that doesn't even scratch the surface of who I am... I’ve spent years of my life trying to pass the expectations people had for me. I had to prove that I’m not just a pretty face. I've seen people struggle to be rightfully defended, but I'm not that lawyer. I’m the person who will read the fine print twice, then go looking for what everyone else missed. I see a goal and will get my best heels dirty to reach it, because I know when there’s a will, there’s a way. The thing is, what I bring isn't a skill, but heart. I care about these people and hearing and getting to speak for them in these cases... I want to show them that it's not a paycheck to me, it's about fairness and accountability."
"So, yes. I am stubborn, and I love a good debate... But it's because I'm capable and relentless when it comes to people being heard."
