The Kajiyashiki’s were a noble name in the region of Kanto since the Edo period. Focused on the trade of meats, hides, and animal byproducts. Its noble history can be traced back to the year 1745, during the change from the leadership of Shogun Yoshimune to his son, Tokugawa Ieshige. The Kajiyashiki’s seemed unaffected by the change of leadership as around this time in the Edo Period, In-country Trade and International Trade became a large selling point of the family. Years came and went as the Kajiyashiki name started to settle in the dust as new, more powerful trade companies were outmatching them.
Afraid of their name being lost to history forever the Family Head, [REDACTED], attempted to hire ‘outside’ assistance to take out the Family Head of the more successful Trade company in their area. Failing and getting ratted on by the man he hired, [REDACTED] would take his family away from Kanto, leaving behind any trade connections they had gained throughout the years.
During the next few Periods, the Kajiyashiki name had fallen into the shadows. Not much is known of them until a Kajiyashiki couple moved to the town of Karakura City, from the nearby town of Tsubasa, during the Postwar Period. During this time, The couple would have two sons and would go to the local schools for their Elementary and Middle school years. Until High School, where they transferred to Karakura High during their respective times.
Hideji Kajiyashiki, The older sibling, would attend High School first and during the first few months of classes would meet a girl named Hayami Mori, the daughter of a Sergeant of the Local Police. They would bond over their love for reading and the Mainland Drama that was going on at the time. Hideji would bring Hayami home for after-school study sessions. This was where the younger brother, Kiya, would meet Hayami and fall head over heels for the older girl. This would spiral into a deadly emotion in the younger Kajiyashiki.
The years went by as The Kajiyashiki Brothers and Hayami would spend time together during hangouts and study sessions. Graduation came and went as Hayami went to the mainland for her internship with the Japanese News before coming back to Karakura, in her late 20’s, to take up a position at Karakura News. Hideji and Hayami would remain in contact throughout those years, growing closer.
Kiya, on the other hand, hated the closeness of his brother to his long-term crush. His only love’s attention was being taken up by his older brother, and it boiled the ever-steaming pot of emotions. Sending mysterious love letters, chocolates, flowers, and just about anything he could think of to help build his courage up to ask Hayami out. Soon, the day came and Kiya finally confessed his feelings to her.
But, it didn’t end in the way Kiya wanted.
Hayami had denied his advances, saying that her heart was set on someone else and her job. This made something snap in Kiya’s mind, into something dark. His one and only true love, had said she loved someone else. With his vision tunneling and blacking out, he would commit the worst decision of his life.
On the steps of Town Hall on February 14th, 1999. Hayami Mori was murdered. Kiya, calmly, walk back to his family home. Going into the basement of the home where his room was. With the red liquid still covering him, Sergeant Seiji Mori and [REDACTED] would find him and surround him. Kiya had been examined by a Psychiatrist, and it was found that he had no regrets about what he had done. Causing him to be sent to [REDACTED], to where he is said to remain.
Current day, The Kajiyashiki Family still lives in Japan but moved out of Karakura Town. They do not wish to disclose their current location of living as they want to disassociate from the events of Kiya. As it stands, the Kajiyashiki Family still lives on but are unknown in what they are associated with to this day nor do they wish to associate with The Mori’s, to where they have yet to apologize for their son’s actions. Causing a rift between the once-close families, causing a family feud fueled by betrayal, dishonesty, and disloyalty.
