In the west part of the city outside the map theres a huge opportunity to make more of the city (karakura) and other isolated parts. we could see parts like Yagi Groves or Tsubasa be there with the access point being the tunnel. A map expansion likely meaning more area, possibly more area to increase things like general housing and shops + parks and maybe even an airport would be nice. ive talked to people in ooc today and they love the idea of adding a new part to the map. as GuestGuest9 puts it: "There is a neighboring town, perhaps it could be much smaller, only reserved for super rich." or as ErikFinster's idea of adding yagi groves or tsubasa. or even more, he says about adding the c****s or the ochiba bay as a "Event location"
It would also be quite easy to add. Just turn off the server and add it to the existing map, the only thing would need the tunnel to be connected. or signs to be picked up if certain things drop.

How will this benefit the server and community?:
Make more residential space, more area for community.

Map expansions have been denied multiple times, for a long time now.
That doesn't mean we won't ever see the other places.
Maybe not as a permanent venue - but possibly as a special event location.



I'd love to see parts of the island - within the reasonable bounds of usefulness!

I don't particularly see the need for a map expansion at this point in time. There are tons of available apartments for players to use, there are more than enough shops, etc. I think that players should look at roleplaying in other areas or suggesting improvements for areas that are less used and less liked rather than expanding the map with more places. For this current player count, I think the map works fine and does what it needs for the type of Roleplay server this is right now. Events server can always be used for big travelling events and school trips! :D

Additionally, remember that more map, more chunks to be loaded that creates lag over the server. In my opinion, for that to be necessary and involve a server upgrade, there should be a higher player count to justify the need for a larger map.

As much as a map expansion sounds great, that also means a lot of work for the community and staff teams to create such thing. With how large the island is compared to the city were we all play, it would take months to create just the basic terrain required for such a map expansion.

However as time goes on, it would be exciting to see these areas more as a possible 'event' of sorts. Me personally, I would love to visit the Yagi Groves since they are such an essential part to our cities grown food.

It’s highly unlikely we will ever see a map expansion on the server. The build team is still working incredibly hard on updating many areas of the map, and with the surplus of housing available and considering how thinly spread the playerbase is across our current map, creating an expansion will only do harm. It’s a reoccurring thing that old players will say the map is too small because they’ve explored everything, however new players struggle to even find shops around the map due to how massive it already is.

I think our map is just fine as it is :)

The map is currently fine as is. I would love to see the rest of the island, but at the moment, we need our focuses to be elsewhere. Not only for the Lore side of things, but building, leadership, coding, etc., would all need to go into this to expand the server. I agree with Infi. We already have new players getting lost just around the map or even in the school itself.

It'll be cool to have different parts of Karakura, but the biggest issue, is do we have enough people to where a map extension is needed? Right now it's good as it is having just the map we're on rn and expanding it would be too much of a big map. Plus if there's separate towns chances are we need separate school and etc. And I don't think we have the player capacity or resources to make the map to begin with.
