My current schedule is different from my normal schedule since I’m partaking in Ramadan for about the next month or so, and of course if my Schedule is to ever change drastically I’ll make sure to inform the EMS heads.

During the day, I take breaks from SRP which are in between half an hour to two hours.

During my times off, a ping will suffice to grab my attention, and I’ll be able to hop on.

What is your time zone?:

AEST

[Grade 12] Renée Woods [Applying for EMS]

[Grade 12] Hwang ‘Ji’ Jikku

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:

I’ve been on SRP since 2020, often taking short breaks. I’ve been in the faction before so I’m familiar with most of the procedures. At the moment, I’m a right hand in a delinquent gang which is mostly about DetailRP and p2l – so the DetailRP part of that will definitely come in handy!

Without going too much into it, I’ve always been roleplaying since I was little and I’ll always continue to do so. ^_^

What is your motivation for applying?

I’ve always liked roleplay, especially DetailRP. So, the last wave I decided to join the faction. However, at that time of my life I wasn’t really in the best position to actually be in the faction which some annoyances including my constant lateness to Meetings and Immaturity.

I decided to leave and take a break whilst working on myself and come back next wave, which is what I’m doing now.

Which role are you applying for?

Doctor!

What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?

EMERGENCY DEPT. (PARAMEDICS)
The emergency department works closely with the KPD, they respond to emergencies where a patient is unable to make their way to the hospital, they still function as doctors and are available to partially treat the patient on scene before taking them back to the hospital for further care.

DOCTOR DEPT.
A doctors role within the hospital is to take on physical injuries, whether it be physical exams, taking care of broken or fractured limbs, treating stab wounds and such more.

A doctor can also function as a VET, taking care of most animals and providing shots and such.

PSYCHIATRY DEPT.
A psychiatrists role within the hospital is to diagnose patients with mental disorders whilst prescribing them the necessary medications. A psychiatrist is also expected to hold the****utic sessions with their patients.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?

I understand and acknowledge that I’ll have to attend a training if I am online and available to partake within the training.

In-Character (IC) Section

SECTION 1: PERSONAL DETAILS

Character’s Full Name:

The blonde looked at her interviewer sat Infront of her, a higherup within the hospital and possibly her boss if she was able to get a job here. She carried herself with grace, her posture noticeably straight paired with sharp eyes that seemed to be listening a tad bit more than her ears.

She perks up as the person across her started to speak, standing still as she waited exactly three seconds to respond after their greeting.

“My name Is Renée Woods, and I am pleased to make your acquaintance on this lovely day.” She bows deeply, her blonde hair falling across her shoulders in neat waves with a business card in her hands that she seems to offer the interviewer.

(put a picture of the business card in her hands)

Character’s Gender and Pronouns:

Renée slowly rises from her bow, her eyes meeting the interviewers eyes with a soft smile that reached her eyes. She moves to sit in the chair placed opposite of her interviewer, sliding in smoothly with her hands placed below the table and watching as the person across her opened up a new folder – presumably her resume, it seemed to have some red circles. For what? Renée was unsure.

A few silent minutes pass as the interviewer gets themselves ready, finally they fire their first question, Her gender and pronouns.

Renée takes the question seriously, most people in Japan were conservative so she found speaking about her identification was abit iffy. But Karakura seemed to be different. It was diverse, and that was what Renée loved about the small town.

“Well, I’m a biological female.” She starts, her heart thumping in her chest before she opens her mouth to speak again, an embarrassing croak leaving instead.

She swallows before trying again, “I.. I am genderfluid though, so I would prefer to go by whatever I’m identifying as. But to make it easier on the members of this hospital, She, Her or They, them is good enough for me.

Her heart was thumping within her chest, before she raises her eyes which were previously locked onto her fingers onto the interviewers face. They were smiling. No malicious intent, no disgust. She takes a deep breath of appreciation.

Character’s Age (if accepted):

Renée’s hands were fidgeting underneath the table, fingers interlinked and hovering over her thighs. She listens in for the next question before again waiting three seconds to answer after the question was asked.

“Well, Spiritually I’m still Nineteen. But I am Twenty-Six.”

She blinks as she realises she was speaking like a stereotypical teenager, God she was so unamusing..

Character’s Academic Background:

“I have a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences and completed my Doctor of Medicine in the United States.” She pauses for a moment, before continuing. “I also completed a 2–3-year residency in Trauma and Emergency Medicine.”

.. “Do you also need my work background?”

Character’s Nationality:

Nodded slowly, her eyes extremely focused on the desk. She replied without raising her eyes, “I was born and raised in America to my Immigrant parents.”

Character’s Marital Status:

She finally manages to rip her eyes away from her hyper focused state before nodding gently, not even processing the question, “I’m Single.”

Character’s Religious Denomination:

“I was born and raised a Muslim.” She opens her mouth, before reminding herself not to overshare. She smiles, and nods instead.

Character’s Spoken Languages:

“I speak English, I’ve always spoken it.” She talks about the language with a strange look in her eyes, almost like she was reminiscing over something, “Arabic, a little bit of French. And, well. Japanese.”

Character Backstory (Optional):

Her backstory is still a WIP, but I can give little dot points :)

- Parents were immigrants from Algeria.

Mother was French, thrown out of home for marrying an Algerian man.
Father was deeply in love with her, him and his family warmly took her in.
During the attempted colonisation, Renée’s father was part of the resistance.
They had to constantly hide him, before they started narrowing down on him and his friends.
Renée’s father was caught; he was tortured. For weeks, until he finally gave them names of the resistance.
When he came back to his family and lover, he was completely changed. He didn’t do anything if he wasn’t told to, he had abandoned his daily prayers, reading the Quran, everything. He was an empty shell.
When the war came to an end, Renée’s fathers family saved up enough money to get him treatment in France.
He started to get better, only slightly.
Renée’s mother found a job opportunity In America, and so they moved.
Renée’s father started going to therapy every week and began to slowly regain himself every day.
Renée was born..
Renée’s mother never really taught her anything
Renée grew up with parents who would constantly fight, sometimes never talk and watched them grow apart.
Grew up with severe depression, autism, anxiety and undiagnosed ADHD. Wasn’t taken seriously, even after a $3000+ dollar diagnosis
Renée was never allowed to express herself through interests, she was basically ignored.
Had six other siblings, was close to none. (Aaand That’s all I got !!) ^o^

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY

What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?

Renée specialises in Trauma and Emergency Medicine. She grew up hearing stories of physical brutality and survival from her father’s past, Renée ended up developing a deep understanding of how fragile the human body can be. She chose to specialise in trauma care because she wanted to be the person who was able to act quickly in a job where seconds could mean life or death.

Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?

Academic Path:

Bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) completed in America
Completed 2–3-year residency in Trauma and Emergency Medicine

Work Experience:

2 years working in a metropolitan hospital in the US
Rotated through Emergency and General Practice departments
Assisted in surgical procedures
Experience handling high-pressure cases

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?

Renée is an extremely put together woman, her clothes are rarely ever creased, a blend of brown’s and beiges were all she seemed to wear. Her long blonde hair was quite voluminous, waves cascading down her shoulders and back in neatly placed sections.

Her eyes are slightly hooded, long and dark lashes covering the blue-gray colour of her irises. Her brows are thinned out which seems to contribute to her constant state of frowning which was also thanks to her resting bitch face. Her lips are plump and hardly not seen glossy, often seen reapplying a pink-ish sheen on top of them.

A few moles can be spotted across her pale skin, pink blush seems to be the only indication to any facial makeup she wears.

A miserly scent clings to her - the strong smell of a nicotine filled cigarette and the scent belonging to the Kim Kardashian Gold. Her hands are always manicured, soft and airbrushed pink nails.

How does your character act around the hospital?

Renée isn’t one to chat all the time, she’s professional with the right mixture of friendliness. However, during downtimes and empty hours she will most likely converse with the nearest person next to her, showing them a picture of her expensive pet cat which oddly resembles her, talk about the latest trends or start yapping on about fashion.

Whenever she isn’t doing those, she’ll most likely be mopping or brooming the floor. Making sure the lobby is tidy and presentable, and if the lobby is clean? She’ll be up on the roof, smoking a cigarette before burning the back of her throat with a cup of scalding hot coffee.. Or five.

Does your character function better on their own or with others?

Renée has always been able to function in a team, although in the past when under pressure and lots of commands are being thrown around, Renée often gets mind muddled.
Of course, she realised and fixed it.She’s now built for every, and any environment.

"The art of medicine consists of amusing the patient while nature cures the disease"
