Backstory: Megumi Rakuro (Hayowara) Ichiyama, was born in the government ordinance city of Osaka, Japan. He was born to a rather modest family that made a stable living. He was born with albinism, a hereditary condition that causes a lighter skin color, lessens pigmentation in the hair, and can lead to differing eye colors. This is why Megumi has lavender colored eyes. Megumi's family, mainly his mothers side, had been born with white parts in their hair. Whether it be a single streak or half the hair, it was always present. Megumi, however, did not like the fact he had this trait. He one day during his 14th birthday decided to get his white hair streak dyed. Turning it a brighter magenta pink, his favorite color. As a kid Megumi would often make travels to visit many places within Osaka, such as the Universal Studios Japan (USJ), the Aquarium Kaiyukan, Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel, and more. Closer to the end of his school year in 2018 Megumi's parents had decided to move from Osaka down to Kurakura island. They wanted a bit of a retreat from the major bustle of larger city they were from. So they moved to the smaller city found on the island. While in Karakura Megumi tried his best to live a normal life. Doing his upmost best in order to have a stable education. Unfortunately for Megumi his life wouldn't go the way he planned. During the same year he turned 14, just two months after he dyed his hair, Megumi would lose his parents. During a snowstorm in December, Megumi had stayed home. His parents however had to leave for each of their jobs. Much like every morning, they rode together in the same car, with Fumiko being dropped of first and then Haruto going to his job. But, on that fateful morning, neither of them made it to their workplace. It is unclear as to whether the poor weather or the other driver, who was under the influence during the accident, are at fault. But, one thing is for certain. The loss of life on that day was a tragic one. It was not until the storm had ended that the wreck was located. By the time paramedics had made it, no survivor was left. Upon the review of the autopsy report the father, Haruto Hayowara, survived for around ten minutes after the accident. This is evident as he was found outside the car, his body pointed to the car, most likely to try and signal for help to save his wife and the other driver. Unbeknownst to both the Hayowara's and the paramedics, Fumiko had been pregnant and the child did not survive the accident. Megumi, was devastated and shut himself off from the world. He lived alone, only surviving off the money being given by his uncle, Kenji Hayowara. Kenji had offered to move down to Karakura, but had been denied every time by a stand-offish Megumi. Megumi still is at Karakura Academy, however he often skips classes, instead enjoying his time napping. Luckily for Megumi, he had been found by a new family, in the household of the Ichiyama's. From here he met with many others like him, children adopted into a loving family when they had no one else to go to. Megumi now spends his time living inside a new home, sleeping when he pleases and attending classes when he can.
