Trivia

What is your motivation for becoming a teacher?:
Since my resignation from being an Art Teacher. A handful of players wanted me back and I told them one day that I will re-apply again once I’m ready. My previous experience of being a teacher was entertaining even if my lessons were a bit simple, although it was still effective in most parts. My resignation at that time wasn’t a choice. I only did it so I can focus on my final month of this college semester. I will say that I did manage to pass my classes with a decent grade. Now that I’m available, I’m willing to join back as a teacher because of friends and student of mines want me back into it. I never lost any motivation in teaching even when new players just join to mess around in my classroom. There were times that I ran out of ideas or topics to teach the class, but that still doesn’t bring me down. The only thing I would change is that I won’t be an Art Teacher this time. I’m heading to the next road on taking part in being a PE Teacher.

Do you have any experience in Roleplaying?: As I mentioned before in my previous teacher application, I’m an experienced roleplayer since September of 2013. A lot of those experiences came from other games like Arma 3, DayZ, Runescape, Black Desert Online, etc. I do enjoy a lot of Minecraft roleplays because of the continuity of how many scenarios you could play as. Before SchoolRP, I did military role-plays such as Arma 3 or survival like DayZ. During those times, I experience doing call-outs, grid readings, location bearings, and many more I could think of. I’ve been playing SchoolRP for over two years since I joined in December of 2017.

Have you read the Faculty Handbook?: I’ve read the Faculty Handbook a couple of times already. It doesn’t apply to RP anymore since we already have a Code of Conduct and the newly updated Teacher OOC rules.

What are the classroom logs and why is it important?: Classroom logs are important for teachers to keep track of the class sessions. There are two types of logs that are conducted in the classroom. The first one is School-Inspector. Their job is to monitor everything from what the teacher does or do, in order to keep proper standards from lectures, testing, etc. The second classroom logs is that the teacher has to write down their in-class activities and review what they did during those hours. It can be used as their own feedback to make the class more enjoyable and efficient.

You want to start a school field trip; how do you do that?: For starting a school field trip. You also have to notify the school principal or vice-principal and request it before anything else. The School Field Trip application no longer assists as the Faculty handbook being replaced.

As a teacher, what are the strict rules when being in a class?:

  • Students must respect the Teacher just like their student peers in class.
  • Any type of swearing or inappropriate language will not be conducted on school grounds.
  • Lying and dishonesty would make any situation worse, even anger towards the teacher. Be Honest and using common sense through your actions.
  • Disrupting or any type of nonsense will result in getting kicked out of the class.
  • Do not use cellphones or any electronics while class is in session. Will result in being confiscated during the duration of the lecture.
  • Raise your hand if you need to ask questions or permission to speak out towards the teacher/instructor.
  • Violence/fighting conducted in class will result in both parties in detention or escorted out to the principal’s office.
  • Any type of harassment will not be tolerated in class.

Summarize your previous RP experience (both in general and on SchoolRP): I’ve been roleplaying since September of 2013 in general. In SchoolRP, I’ve roleplayed as a High School student, a cashier from a couple of shops I worked in-game, and a teacher. My experience roleplaying as a teacher is one of my favorite things to do in the server. I’ve always kept myself motivated and dedicated when it comes to teaching a class filled with students, or even players that are new to SchoolRP. There were stressful times that I had to endure on conducting class lectures but, that never stopped from giving up on what I enjoy doing. Overall, I already know what to do already as I have past experience doing Teacher roleplay.

Describe the ranking system of teachers:

- HD: The head of the Department is in-charge or responsible for making lesson plans and curriculum. They are also responsible for ensuring the QTLS and NQT teachers lecturing the right lessons for their class. Also giving out feedback on how well they’ve done on lecturing.

- QTLS: Qualified teachers in learning skills are able to host a class without the Head of the Department. They are the middle-ranking officials between NQT and HD. They’re planned ahead on understanding the course of their subject. Also responsible to check if their own lessons are relevant to the class and lecture.

- NQT: Newly qualified teachers are teachers who are new to the field of education. They are required to ask the Head of Department in order to host a class session during school hours. As new teachers, they must abide by the rules of conduct as everyone else.

Teacher Knowledge

Present to us your knowledge about Teachers in-game and out-of-game, what purpose do teachers serve. What salary do they get? Include a paragraph about the way teachers teach, what they do in their spare time in general.

The teacher is responsible to make students successful before proceeding into adulthood as they received their high school diploma. It's also mandatory to teach them everything so that students can have a great opportunity to have a career or attend colleges. School teachers in SchoolRP make around about ¥250,000 from teaching 15 classes a month. If they teach additional extra 5 more classes over the main requirement, they’ll receive a bonus of ¥50,000. Teachers are always here to help students no matter what the circumstances until they walk up the stage to receive their diplomas. Their job is also to make their class/lectures enjoyable so that students won’t always have to stress out or being bored in general. During the teacher’s spare time, they may sometimes stay after class to fill out grades or plan ahead on the next lecture.

Why are teachers important to a SchoolRP server?: Teachers are important in SchoolRp because, without them, the server wouldn’t be called SchoolRP. As mentioned before, it would more likely be a CityRP if teachers weren’t a thing in the server.

What lesson planning system does the school work on?: Must have, should have, and could have. Those are the school planning system called the “MoSCo”. They aren’t stated in the updated documents. All of my information was about rereading the faculty handbook.

Character Knowledge

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. How does he look like? What makes him unique and different? What is his outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is his personality like? What is his plan for the future?

Zhang Sun Haechi is a white-washed Korean Male. He’d stands up at six foot two inches and weighs roughly about one-hundred eighty lbs. He’d be wearing anything long or rolled-up sleeve jackets and military-like pants like cargos or just denim jeans. Zhang enjoys fishing as a hobby since it was his first childhood activity. He does free-time artwork in his spare time, doing practices and such to keep himself busy. He would also enjoy playing volleyball against his fellow students or co-workers as he used to be in the varsity team. What makes him unique is that he’s the only Korean individual that has an American accent and has a slight scar on his left eyebrow. His outlook on students would be some-what serious when it comes to teaching at school, but during his off time, he’d be a gentleman to or a self-responsible adult. His outlook on teachers, he always gives out a friendly vibe like any other adult in Karakura. Although, not as awkward when first started teaching months prior.

Scenarios

You find a gang of delinquents in the hallway cursing and swearing, what do you do?: Zhang would tell them to stop what they’re doing as it isn’t appropriate to curse in school grounds. If it gets out of hand, he would offer them detention after school. If matters become worse right after, he would ask other school staff members or co-workers to help with the situation.

No one in your class is listening to a word you say, what do you do?: As Zhang was military trained in the discipline, he would yell the class to form up into 2-4 different lines and telling them to 10 push-ups. If they continue to mess around again, the number of push-ups would increase or making them do runs around the gym/track without water breaks. If this were a Class scenario, Zhang would give a warning for now. If it gets out of hand, he would tell the students that if they didn’t stop, he wouldn’t be afraid to give those students detention after school.

When in the teacher's lounge, how does your character act?: In the lounge, Zhang would quietly read through the statistic on students that attended his class (The statistic would consist of the student’s health, physical record, and nutrition of their diet). His interactions with fellow other Co-workers wouldn’t be as awkward as before since he already knows most of them from being an Art Teacher, previously. He would interact with them as they are still good friends with him and catching up on what he missed from resigning months prior. When it comes to alone time, Zhang would start doing grading in-class assignments and calculating the scores from the student's performance in PE.

Provide at least 5 detailed /me's of your character inside a classroom:

/me Would verbally raise his voice at the students as he slightly power walks towards them for all of them to get in a straight formational line on the half-court boundary

/me Would bring out his clipboard to start verbally raising his voice again on each and every student’s name that are present on standing in line formation.

/me Would demonstrate on doing Military crunches by laying on the floor flat on his back, then slowly sitting upwards as someone else holding onto his legs, tightly.

/me Would demonstrate another exercise routine called the “Butterfly Kicks” by laying back down on the floor, swerving his legs up and down as he isn’t moving his upper body.

/me Would look over at his watch, then upwards as he observes the students doing the one-minute lap run around the gym.

Backstory

Zhang Sun Haechi was born in Busan, South Korean on May 9th,1991. His family was financially successful as his father made a decent amount of wealth as a Hyundai dealership associate. His mother, on the other hand, is a care-taker and a Preschool teacher. As his childhood, Zhang grew up fishing with his father when he’s off time from his work. He was taught how to River, fly and line fish at an early age and continue to this day as a hobby. By the time Zhang turned thirteen years old, he moved to Los Angeles, California with his mother and while his father stays behind to support them Financially. The reasoning behind him moving to the US is that he couldn’t keep up with the academics, back in Busan.

Zhang was enrolled in an American Middle-school at the start of 8th grade. The only two subjects he mostly enjoyed was Physical Education and Art. Zhang is one of a kind and talented artist, according to his Art teachers throughout his time in Middle and High School. On the other hand, Zhang enjoyed Physical Education because of the activities he did like the mile run, dodgeball, and basketball. As Zhang goes onto High School, he tries out for the Volleyball team and preferably accepted into the team as a Receiver. Due to his height being 6’0 at that time, he had no trouble playing Volleyball and was chosen to be in the varsity team. Zhang's leadership and call-outs are what got his team succeeded in winning against other High Schools. Till this day, Zhang continues to teach the new generation of students in Karakura on how to play Volleyball efficiently. As Zhang graduated from high school and on his choice, he didn’t want to proceed with his college education. He decided to enlist in the Armed Forces of the US Army.

He would proceed into BMT (Basic Military Training), then into Airborne school for a couple of months. With his High ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) score, he was qualified to take the Ranger school to become part of the 75th Ranger Regiment. Zhang would have to go through three phases in training for about two months into Ranger school, in order to receive his Ranger Tab/patch. As he finished Ranger school, he would proceed into the Special Forces training for thirteen months in six phases. Zhang is among the 39 out of 121 recruits to graduate. If it wasn’t for his friends and squadmates, he wouldn’t have made it through. By the age of twenty years old, Zhang was part of the 2nd battalion of the 75th Ranger regiment. He would serve two years into deployment in Afghanistan until he was honorably discharged from service, due to his injuries in combat.

By the time Zhang comes back home to LA, he would proceed to enroll in a State college to proceed with his educational career as to become a teacher. Zhang would enroll himself with two majors which are Art and Kinesiology as a full-time student. For his Kinesiology major, he would have to take classes like Physical Health, Nutrition, Weight training, and Physiology of Sports. Zhang would take five to six classes per semester, and two classes for Summer and Winter sessions. For completing both majors, he would finish on receiving his bachelor's degree in Kinesiology which took him three years to complete. Art, on the other hand, would complete earning his degree as it took him two years to complete. His second bachelors were shortcoming because he didn’t need to start again from scratch on his General education as it’s already posted on his record. The only thing he needed to do was his major requirements.

Extra

Additional notes about your application (if any): I did my research based on my school's major requirements list and a couple of sources online. Getting a second bachelor’s degree doesn’t take another fours years or longer. Depending on what school you study at and the programs that are offered, you can complete another bachelor’s degree within 1-2 years. The reasoning is that the education system keeps track of your academic records until you stop attending school. It’s just a side note from what I have researched so far.

- This is an incredibly well-made application, and, you’re already an experienced teacher. Bringing you onto the teacher team would be the correct decision in my opinion.
