my inventory got replaced by the edit mode blocks

So I was in build mode building in my apartment and then the server restarted while I was in buildmode and when I logged back on my inventory was all the blocks from buildmode and all my other stuff was gone. Is there a way to bring that stuff back like by rolling back my invo or smthn. This also happened to my buddy yuxgpaper
