As I've played there has been many changes already to the everchanging world of Karakura and I believe there will still be many to come, all of which I'm ready to deal with. My first major activity on this server would be joining gangrp, I joined the Woodson Syndicate, and have had quite the blast in it. I haven't been playing for a very long time, but I do learn and grow fast. I think I'm on Srp at least everyday, depending on the circumstances I can be on all day or barely at all, but I've atleast played everyday.

WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVATION FOR APPLYING TO WORK AT THE MONASTERY?:
The monastery was a place shown to Ichiro by an ex-fiancé before they were ever together, it's a place they went to together and shared many laughs, cries, and moments together leaving the monastery a major place in his heart, eventually he'd go there every day to relax as it was his safe place, nowhere else in Karakura made him feel as safe as he did when he was in that monastery. One day Ichiro's Fiancé had left him, thus marking the period of time that he stopped going. Ichiro had become a broken man, and he sought to a life of crime, whether it be stealing, fighting, killing, or kidnapping, he was ready to do any of it, but that landed him in jail on a felony charge for kidnapping. He sought to become a gang member and at the time he enjoyed it, but one day his friend brought him back to the shrine, and he remembered the peace, the safe feeling, and it made him take a look at his life and he realized that he's done with his life as a delinquent and he wanted a second chance at life, the shrine can provide him that second life. A life where he can forget about crime and live his life out in peace.
TELL ME WHAT HISTORY AND INFORMATION YOU KNOW ABOUT THE SHINSEI SEINARU MONASTERY:
As I don't know much about the Shinsei Seinaru Monastery, I've had friends tell me about it and it intrigued me enough to read about it, my knowledge could be wrong, but I know that the monastery has been standing here since before the shopping district. The creation of the shrine began from 744 to 762, as a place for people who believed in Buddhism, and later down the line they introduced Shintoism. Whilst this was seen as a good change, the kami did not think as such, which led to the surrounding nature to be destroyed and ruined, which was leaning towards the destruction of karakura.
WRITE A LETTER TO THE MONASTERY LEAD :
"To the Kannushi of the Shinsei Seinaru Monastery"
I am Ichiro Mclovin-Adachi, A troubled stranger to you as of now, but with this letter I'm hoping that I can change that and I can provide you with evidence of why I could be of use to this amazing monastery. It would be my greatest honor to be a shrine priest at this monastery, this very monastery has opened my eyes to what peace is and what it means to be alive. I Ichiro, have been to the shrine before and while I was there it showed me what true peace was, and that life was to be enjoyed in that peace, but something happened in my life that messed up my views and my goals. I'm not proud to admit it, but I stopped going to the shrine and instead turned into a life of crime, until recently, a dear friend of mine had brought me back to the shrine, while at first I was still my same thuggy way, the more I went the more I came to. I kept going to the shrine with them, which ended up leading to me going by myself, and I enjoyed it, it made me ponder on my life and it showed me that I need to put those old ways behind me and start a new.
It would be my honor to be apart of your shrine, if you could be so humble and kind as to help me put my old ways past me and help me start a new, that would be worth my life and my eternal gratitude.
-Ichiro Mclovin-Adachi
BACKSTORY (100+ Words):
(ages 0-8) Ichiro was a boy born in Karakura by his mom who was a prostitute and his father who was a drunken, abusive man, his father left him before Ichiro was even able to open his eyes, his mom on the other hand regrettably had to leave him behind on some corner as she could not take care of him. Ichiro was forced to learn how to do what he needed to survive, whether that be scourging, begging, or working for food, it didn't matter as long as he was able to live. He'd still have some hop in his body that his mother or father would one day find him, so he sought out to search for them.
(ages 8-10) Ichiro would start working out his body as he thought he needed to be strong to protect himself from the dangers of the world, his focus was to strengthen himself to the point he could defend himself had he needed too. He still was clinging onto that hope that maybe his mother or father would one day come back to him and he could finally live happily with his mom and dad.
(10-14) He was slowly giving up on the fact that his parents would ever find him, there would be nights that he lay awake questioning if they were ever coming, every time he thought of it, he'd end up crying himself to sleep. He found himself on the Karakura streets one night searching once again for his parents, that is until he met 2 people who showed him the way to live, these 2 people became his first friends in 14 years. He would spend his days with these friends for quite some time, living happily for once.
(14-18) As time progressed on Ichiro made more and more friends, developing strong, special bonds with them overtime. He was enjoying life to the point he forgot all about his parents. He was attending school and hanging out with people, he had no cares in the world, until one day he met this one guy, this guy Ichiro had never seen before suddenly felt familiar, he had no clue as to why but he just felt as if he knew him, the two became acquainted really quickly and became the best of friends fast. They would enjoy all types of moments together. SECTION 2: Self-Knowledge Details
What duties do Shinto Priests and Maidens have?:
From what I know Shinto Priests and Maidens have quite a bit of duties. Along with dedication, and discipline came a lot of tasks in which the Priests and Maidens were to do. Shrine Priests and Maidens are to perform divination and fortune-telling, conduct sacred rituals and ceremonies, act as spirit mediums to connect and channel spiritual messages to the Kami, they would perform tea ceremonies and perform sacred dances.
What are the steps needed to be taken at the purification trough before entering the Shrine?:
Every Shinto monastery or shrine has a rite called Temizuya at the entrance; worshippers and guests must participate in order to enter the interior grounds. As the visitor approaches the trough, they must scoop the trough's chilly mountain water with the dipper in their right hand. Traditionally, the water is poured over the left hand first, then the left. Using the dipper in their right hand, the visitor must pour a tiny amount of water into the palm on the other side, bringing it to their lips to rinse their mouth as well. Lastly, they must lift the dipper upright so that the remaining water can wash their mouth. Lastly they must wash the dipper until it is empty; after that, they can put it back and go to the monastery where they will be purified and able to see the Kami.
How are offerings to a Kami performed?:
Rituals for worshiping kami are frequently carried out at Shinto shrines or at locations that are said to be home to these spiritual beings. Offerings are made to kami as expressions of respect and appreciation. These include rice, sake, fruits, and symbolic artifacts.
How do you perform a tea ceremony ritual?:
A tea ceremony usually consists of two serves of tea (called "koicha" and "usucha") and a dinner (called "chakaiseki"). It lasts four hours on average. The host extends an invitation to the ceremony prior to the actual tea ceremony. Additionally, the utensils and tea bowls are chosen ahead of time. The host sets up the décor and orders wagashi sheets.
Explain what a Tamagushi, Ofuda and Kagura Suzu is and what they're used for:
A sakaki tree branch is used to make tamagushi, a type of Shinto offering embellished with shide strips of washi paper, silk, or cotton. Shinto offerings known as tamagushi are crafted from the branches of the Japanese evergreen sakaki. They are embellished with strips of shide, or lightning-shaped paper. During Shinto rites, tamagushi act as the kami's (spirits or gods) temporary homes. Additionally, they serve as a formal tribute when officials arrive.
An ofuda is a talisman used in Shinto and Buddhism in Japan. It can be constructed of paper, wood, fabric, or metal. Ofuda, sometimes referred to as "holy paper," are talismanic sheets with inscriptions that are usually distributed by Buddhist or Shinto temples. They are regarded as the material manifestation of a spiritual being or a divinity. This is how they're employed: Ofuda are usually meant to be displayed or enshrined in homes, businesses, or vehicles. Certain kinds of ofuda are intended for specific purposes, such as protection against calamity, safety within the home, or finding love. The ofuda consists of a piece of wood or a card upon which is written the name of the kami. A ritual is performed to charge the ofuda with the power of the kami.
When performing kagura dance, a group of twelve to fifteen bells on a short staff are known as kagura suzu. The set has two bells on the top tier, four bells on the middle tier, and six bells on the bottom tier, all of which are suspended from a central handle by coiled brass wires. It is believed that the ogatama tree's fruits served as the model for the bells' design.
(OPTIONAL) Based on your character; which other Kami would they worship?:|
