TRIVIA SECTION

What is your motivation for becoming a professor?:

From when I began to play this character, she's had many struggles internally. She's a very troubled person herself, and I believe it would be very fulfilling to see her not only see her study patterns of behavior, but also actively participate in the education of others in this subject. Playing a professor seems like a very fulfilling and constantly evolving task.

Work out two interactive classes you will host if accepted:

1. I would hand out notebooks that give a series of short and simple seeming scenarios, first person stories where they are put into different situations and asked questions about how they imagine the environment. From there i would collect the books and then further explain to them what their answers mean about them, in a general sense. One example of this could be the following quiz that was published in a book called "Kokology" written by Japanese author Tadahiko Nagao.

A. Think of a desert or an open field

Picture a desert stretching out as far as your eyes can see.
How big is this dessert? What is it filled with? What are the surroundings like?

B. Think of cube

Within this desert imagine a cube.
Describe the cube. What does it look like? Color of cube? How large is the cube? What’s it made of? And where in the desert is the cube? No right answers and no wrong answers.
You can’t lose the game! Feel free to take a moment before you continue.

C. Think of a ladder

So there you are in the desert with your cube. Along with the cube, you notice a ladder.
Now, describe the ladder. How big is it? Where is it in relation to the cube? What is it made out of?
Again, take a moment to think before you continue. Details are important.

D. Think of a horse

Now within this desert that contains a ladder and a cube is now a horse. Imagine even if it’s weird.
It may very well be a horse with no name.
Now, describe the horse. Where is the horse? What is the color of the horse? What’s it doing? Is it going anywhere or staying put?

E. Think of flowers

We’re almost done. Now, you see flowers in the desert with a cube, ladder, and horse.
Describe the flowers. How many are there? What do they look like? Where are they in relation to the other objects?

F. Think of a storm
There’s a storm.
Last task: What’s the storm like? Is it near? Far? What kind of storm is it? Does it impact any of the other objects in the desert?

Cube Personality Test - Discover Yourself in 90 Seconds (themindsjournal.com)

From there, I'd briefly take a moment to explain what each answer means about the individual, and then we would further study the book that this quiz came from, as well as the authors further studies. This ensures that along with a lesson, each individual student feels a more personal connection to the lesson. They may gain some inner awareness.

2
. I would first welcome the class, and then continue to "turn on a projector" ICLY (send an image link in chat) to a series of ink blot tests. From there we would examine what the majority of the class sees in said tests and go on to delve into the history of these kinds of tests, their correlation to psychological and behavioral patterns, and then go on to study the accuracy of these tests, and break down their dependability in the social sciences world.

Work out a field trip (meaning a class outside school grounds) you will host if accepted:

I would lead the class to the park/playground and teach them in thorough detail about psychology in adolescence. I would hand out notebooks and ask them to write down in detail one positive moment they've had in a playground (preferably while they were children) and one negative moment they've experienced in a playground. We would then study childhood psychology, and how newer humans/kids process emotions very differently than older people. Utilizing the playground as incentive to jog ideas and memories of childhood.

SCENARIO SECTION

Your character would encounter a group of college jocks surrounding a bobcat jock, what would your character do?

She would first assess the situation, seeing as she's a psychology professor, it'd be natural for her to infer based on body language and the tone shifts of their voice. She'd sternly observe for a moment and then confront the situation, interacting in a verbal non-demanding tone and asking that the college students respectfully back away from the bobcat jock. If they refused, she would then, and only then make the mention of the students facing detention if they did not comply. Then she'd make sure the bobcat jock got to a safe area and question them about the commotion that occurred, making a mental note of the students involved in the occurrence.

Your character would be supervising detention, one of the students constantly disturbs by asking stupid questions, what would your character do?

She would answer genuinely for the first few questions, and then begin to express that their line of questioning was not logical or relevant. Insisting that they finish their task so they can leave. Failure to comply with what she asks will result in the threat of further disciplinary measures such as more detention, suspension, or expulsion.

Your character would be hosting a class, and a group of cheerleaders keeps on playing songs on the phone and call out other students in the class, what would your character do?

She would ask sternly that they stop so she may continue with her lesson. If they do not stop, she'd ask them to turn off their phones and allow their classmates to pay attention to the lecture/lesson, expressing how their behavior is disrupting her class, and if continued, will be met with detention.

Your character would be walking on the school perimeter and encounter a fight between a couple of students, your character tried to break it up, but it didn't help, what would your character do?

She would immediately try to assess the situation, taking a step back to take note of the events and involved parties. Moving forward, she'd use her walkie talkie to inform other school faculty of the situation, making it clear to the brawling group that there were reinforcements on their way. If absolutely necessary, she would consider reporting to the police department.

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. What does they look like? What makes them unique and different? What is their outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is their personality like? What is their plan for the future?

Sai Ryn is a 5'6 Puerto Rican adult woman, with a naturally curvy/midsize body type and very long white hair and purplish-blue eyes. Her right side is coated with old burn scarring that briefly makes appearances on her shoulder, and most strongly makes an appearance on her face and neck. Her right eye is slightly different than her left due to the strong scarring that affected her eyelid. She has a very unique style of observation and logical deduction of her situations due to her background of abuse and fascination with psychology. She finds it very easy to put herself in the shoes of others and see their situation from a personal point of view. She views her coworkers as essential elements to the education of the students and the students as the future of Karakura, hoping that she can do enough to inspire even one student. She's a very simple and reserved person on the outside, but a very outgoing and thoughtful person if one gets to know her. She's a loyal friend and a caring mother in her personal life.

Describe how your character ended up becoming a teacher and their previous life. It is optional to include earlier life but recommended.

Sai Ryn began her life as an orphan in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was born with mild albinism that majorly affected her eye and hair color, to be a blueish purple and white color respectively. She was typically outcasted by the societal norms in her country, and the adults in charge of looking after her, leaving a sinking feeling and a need to feel as though she belonged somewhere. For the mass majority of her childhood, she spent her free time longing for family, connections, friends, anyone who could feel like home for her, and soon enough she discovered she had a biological sister named Nymph Yin that lived quite far from her but planned on going to Karakura high school for a few years. The sisters connected online and by the time they were 13 (Nymph) and 16(Sai), they met in Karakura. Sai and Nymph hit it off very easily and grew to find a home in not only Japan, but with each other. With time, Sai Ryn fell in love with a known delinquent, whom Nymph did not approve of. Their relationship was very rocky and unstable, Sai Ryn ended up conceiving two children along the time they were together, and consistently running back to the toxic situation, despite having many psychological setbacks, and attempts to end her own life, she eventually came to an understanding. She stayed for some time in the United States to cope with the destruction that her previous years had on her psychologically, and soon after a peaceful resolve in her personal life came with a fatal diagnosis when she was around 24. It turns out she had been suffering from terminal brain cancer, and barely had weeks to live. She figured that if she spent her remaining time with her children, that it would be enough to satisfy that longing for family feeling she'd had for so long. She'd flown back to Japan to tell her children of what was to come and before long, she was expected to pass, and had very little to leave for her children, from the depths of a very shady organization, she was sent a message online regarding her condition. A strange group offered a resolve, if she were to meet them far west, in Pakistan. She figured she'd had little to lose and so after she told her children that she was soon to pass, she left for the provided location in the online message. What she hadn't known was that in doing so, and meeting this organization, they'd improperly informed her children and friends back in Karakura, that she had passed away during an operation, via a forged letter from an unofficial hospital "out of town". After doing so, she was offered a deal; that she carries out a very dangerous mission for this group in exchange for money sent to her family only after she passes. Within her stay she observed a lot, meeting a few other people who had succumbed to a similar fate. She slowly but surely began to uncover that this group had not only forged an unofficial death document for her, but her, and many other false diagnoses. She was able to save herself, and a few others, but unfortunately was injured very badly in her escape. She escaped but only with major 3rd and 4th degree burns to the right side of her body, also rendering her right eye to be entirely blinded. As she slowly recovered, she took this second chance at life as an opportunity. A chance to fulfill a dream that she and those she held dear could be proud of. She went on to return to the states for treatment, and well overdue educational help. Seeing as she had graduated from Karakura with well enough grades she attended The Chicago School of Professional Psychology from ages 26-28 where she attained a Certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychology and a Bachelor's in Psychology, then moving on to perfect her master's in psychology, with a concentration in teaching and learning from ages 28-32. She was thoroughly inspired by one professor who recommended that she look into teaching, and s she did, now applying to become a professor for Karakura High.
