I wanted to bring back an old rule that was used within gangs.

I wanted to bring back the rule about disbanding a gang when the lead dies

There must be a way to disband a rival gang. I'm not a ganger IRL nor do I understand it, but I don't think a gang have stayed forever. Even though there's a gang that have, this is SRP, and I do think there should be a way to disband a gang. I would say killing the leader or arrested for life disbands the gang. It doesn't have to be this one thing, can be anything as long as there is a way to disband a gang, fair way to. I mean, it doesn't have to be killing the leader, there is many ways.

In a way, I do agree with the idea of disbanding gangs. It wouldn't make sense that every gang has their leader killed every 3 days, yet somehow they manage to choose a new lead immediately (due to the fact that the OOC lead of the gang makes a new character). However, I believe that killing off the leader once. Is a bit too radical, at least in my opinion. I believe that it should be limited to, let's say, 5 times in which a gang leader can be killed (character-wise) before the gang is disbanded/has to choose a new leader. The reason behind this is the the fact that killing/arresting a gang member is relatively "easy" (even though there are ways to bypass this, as can be demonstrated by the great leadership of Uncapitable and Prosthettics on their respective gangs). I would say that having this "Life" counter, which will prevent them from being so reckless when planning out things, may help the community as a whole, given that there have been multiple cases of throwaway characters, or absurd amounts of baiting that end up in a lack of fun from most parties.

I appreciate responding and giving your idea, however, I wanted to point out the side that's bad from it. So now getting arrested as leader is easy, I see. If you reread what I said, if arrested for life not any arrest. And killing a gang leader isn't that easy, no. A gang leader can easily avoid KPs against him. Even if there's perms he can use that can led the other parties for perms, there's his gang to do him the work. I'm happy with the leader sharing perms with us as it gives us turn to play. I'm not sayin it's a bad thing giving us perms, as I stated before it's fun and gives us turn to RP. I'm saying killing a leader isn't as easy as you think, you can barely get the perms ir recognize him ICly, and it has a lot of risks, so succeeding doing that is a big thing.

I personally feel like its a lot cooler and respectful if you get rid of a rival gang the right way- Through multiple attacks, attempting to attack it within the gang and taking over its turf etc etc. It shows ACTUAL effort besides killing off one dude and then the entire gang suddenly lose their loyalty and just join another gang?

Overall- You should put effort and strategy into taking out a rival gang as that adds a lot more roleplay
