Describe your activity on SchoolRP:
I try my best to play for at least 2-3 hours a day at current, sometimes more, after I get home from college and finish my homework. Usually I jump on at 7PM on average, and I stay online until around 11PM. The only times where I'm not on the server are when none of my friends are online and I don't feel like being overly social, I have plans with another friend or I've gotten invested in a different game before my normal times of playing (though all of these are very rare). I do often give myself a day off every week to relax if I feel like it, as I am trying to prioritise my mental health and balance out school, SRP, other games and my social life.

Describe your roleplay experience with SchoolRP and other roleplay networks in general:
I've been playing on SchoolRP since early 2020. At the start of my experience, I played a lot during this time due to lockdown, and not having schoolwork definitely contributed to the sheer amount of hours I have on this server. I've had a little bit of experience with all types of roleplay, but none of them have really stuck with me for a long time. I did however greatly enjoy my experience with FamilyRP back in July of 2020. Outside of SRP, I played quite a bit on the Roleplay Maker server when it first came out, and poured quite a long time into developing a roleplay world for others to enjoy (but it never did get finished, sadly). I've also taken part in a few Discord roleplays with friends and strangers alike.

What are your current roles on SchoolRP:
[GRADE-12]

What is the subject you want to teach?:
Geography, if possible.

TRIVIA SECTION

What is your motivation for becoming a professor?:

I want to share the knowledge of subjects I am very educated in and passionate about, and I want to teach students about the formation of the natural world around them and how important it is to protect it for future generations to also enjoy. Furthermore, the teaching profession has always been interesting to me, and a potential career path after I graduate college. The idea of being part of a community like the professor faction and helping out others is a very appealing aspect of becoming a Professor, and I'd be honoured to be a part of it. Being a high school student has also become repetitive, to an extent, so I'd like to try out roleplaying as a different type of character!

Work out two interactive classes you will host if accepted:
1. A class I would host would be a class on coastal landscapes. I would explain to the class about the inputs, outputs and processes that occur within a coastal landscape. I would quiz my class on any prior knowledge that they might have, asking if they know what positive/negative budgets are, if they know the difference between biogenic/clastic sediment and so on. I would have examples of biogenic and clastic sediment with me, so students could see them in real life and hold/examine them if they wanted to. If they didn't know anything prior, I would explain it and assure them that it was alright. This class could possibly end with an end-of-lesson Kahoot quiz to test the student's knowledge on what they have learned and to see if they've been paying attention. If this Kahoot couldn't be played at the end of the lesson, it could be played at the start of the next lesson. People on the podium would have a chance to win a reward token.

2. Another class I would host would be on the more human side of geography, focusing on deindustrialisation and the impact on already-declining primary industries within areas. I would primarily focus on examples in England, as that is where my character grew up and got his qualifications, but there would be a few examples of deindustrialisation in Japan too. I would talk about projects that have been introduced to support industries and then play bingo with the acronyms of support schemes (e.g. EZs, FDI, etc.) and whoever gets all of them right first would get a reward token.

Work out a field trip (meaning a class outside school grounds) you will host if accepted:
If given permission from higher faculty, I would take my class to Karakura Beach. I would explain to them the formation of the beach, and also explain the ecosystem of it. I'd quiz them on knowledge they should've learned in previous lessons, and take them to get ice-cream afterwards if everyone behaved appropriately. If we still had time at the end of the field trip, I would go into a detailed explanation of certain adaptations of creatures or plants they find in the surrounding area. It would be similar to a QnA.

SCENARIO SECTION

Your character would encounter a group of college jocks surrounding a bobcat jock. What would your character do?

Isaac would quietly approach the group of jocks in an attempt to hear what the situation is. He would have his radio clipped to his waistband, ready to call for help from SLT if needed. If the situation was seemingly friendly, he would call out to the group with a greeting of sorts in an attempt to hopefully dissuade any potential violence or bullying that might've occurred. If the situation was violent or bullying, he'd approach with a much sterner voice and ask them to stop harassing the younger student. If they didn't stop, he'd give them three warnings, followed by threat of detention and finally detention. If then, nothing happened, he would use his radio to call in backup from the SLT team.

Your character would be supervising detention, one of the students constantly disturbs by asking stupid questions. What would your character do?
Isaac would first calmly ask the student to quiet down and tell them that there are other students (if applicable) that need to focus on their detention work, and that they should too. If the student persisted with questions, without any signs of letting up, he would reluctantly answer it and then tell the student to continue with their work. If the questions persist even after that, he would give three verbal warnings before threatening the student with an extra detention after school on a different day.

Your character would be hosting a class, and a group of cheerleaders keeps on playing songs on the phone and call out other students in the class. What would your character do?
Isaac would pause his lesson to ask the group of cheerleaders to stop playing their songs, and stop yelling at other students. If they didn't listen, he'd warn all of them and then threaten with detention if they still didn't quiet down. After, he would issue a detention for all of them, but all of them would have different times so they wouldn't be able to disrupt the detention class together.

Your character would be walking on the school perimeter and encounter a fight between a couple of students, your character tried to break it up but it didn't help. What would your character do?
If trying to break it up and telling them to stop doesn't work, Isaac would immediately radio SLT to help with breaking up the fight. If the students were being particularly violent, he would distance himself and make sure that no other students joined in or egged them on, instead choosing to let them finish or continue until more staff members arrived to deal with the situation. He would not physically grab or apprehend either student unless there is a clear dominance over one, or if it was a student being beaten up and not fighting back.

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. What do they look like? What makes them unique and different? What is their outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is their personality like? What is their plan for the future?
Isaac stands at 5'9 and has ashy brown hair, with a white streak in his fringe. It's fluffy and messy, with the back of his hair covering half of his neck. He has greyish-blue eyes and pale skin. On his back, trailing up his spine, he has a large tattoo of flowers intertwined with each other. He also has two tattoos hidden under his hair at the back of his neck: one of the initials of his husband, and another of the Yang symbol (his husband has the matching Yin symbol). Isaac has a small scar on his upper arm from an incident when he was younger. He usually wears a brown turtleneck, along with a beige overcoat, along with a pair of cream trousers and a pair of black Doc Martins. Around his neck, he has a lanyard with his staff ID card on it, and there are a few pins attached to it: a rainbow pride pin, a mlm pin and a Pochita pin. Underneath his turtleneck, he wears a simple chain necklace with a heart locket. On his left wrist he wears a watch, and on his right he wears three rubber wristbands with different motivational messages on them.

In school, Isaac tries to be a kind teacher to his students. He treats them with respect, as he believes that you should treat others how you want to be treated. He can be strict, however, as he takes his teaching very seriously and won't stand for unneeded interruptions. He treats his fellow professors and teachers with respect too, but tries to let himself be more relaxed around them. He's most relaxed in a non-school environment, where he can be himself: outgoing, supportive and constantly bickering with his husband. Speaking of his husband, his only plans for the future are to continue teaching, to continue showing passion for the subjects he loves, and to stay with his husband for the rest of his life.

Describe how your character ended up becoming a teacher and their previous life. It is optional to include earlier life but recommended.
Isaac J. Clément was born in rural France and lived there until the age of six. During this time, he learned French so he could communicate with family and friends alike. When he turned six years old, he and his family moved to Sussex, England, so his parents could pursue their teaching career in a nicer area. His parents were a very influential and supportive part of Isaac’s life, so he wanted nothing more than to be like them when he was older. During his time at secondary-school, he developed a great interest in Geography and Media Studies, which led him to want to teach it to others when he grew older. When doing his GCSE’s, his primary revision method was creating Google Slideshows of the information he needed, and then teaching his parents about it. They were incredibly supportive of this.

After passing his Geography and Media GCSE’s with flying colours, he decided to go to East Sussex College to do A-Levels in Geography and Film Studies. He also chose to do an A-Level in Criminology because at the time, he was very interested in detective/crime shows and thought it would be a good third option when he couldn’t decide on another. He passed all three of his courses with A’s/A*'s, and then moved to Edinburgh to study for his Bachelor’s in Geography and to get a degree in Teaching/Education. While studying at the University of Edinburgh, he met a boy, Akihiko (he/they), and started dating them. After one year he got his teaching degree, and after four years he finally got his Bachelors in Geography. Isaac and Aki moved to Teesside for Aki’s new job, and Isaac became a Teaching Assistant at Teesside University in the Geography department, while also doing two master’s degrees part-time (Criminology, after rediscovering his love for it, and Environmental Management, due to sheer curiosity of what the course was about).

He learned Japanese on an online course, as Aki was Japanese and often spoke to family members and friends over the phone in the language. He wanted to surprise Aki with his new knowledge to show his commitment to them. Isaac got very fluent during his time working at Teesside University, but ended up breaking off the relationship after hearing Aki insulting him to their mother in Japanese. After that, Isaac moved out of their shared apartment and got his own, before deciding to quit his job at Teesside University on his birthday in 2021. He continued to learn Japanese even after breaking it off with Aki, because he’d developed a strong interest in the language and culture through choosing the country as his place of study for his Bachelor’s and also due to his love of anime.

After quitting his job at Teesside, he took a year break from teaching to explore the world with someone he’d met and, consequently, fallen in love with. Their adventures ended when Isaac found he missed teaching. They promised to keep in touch, but due to different professions they couldn’t live with each other. One heartfelt and heart-breaking goodbye later, Isaac decided to move to Japan to teach there. Originally, he moved to Hokkaido and taught high-school children at Hokkaido Esashi High School. However, he quit after eight months of teaching as the environment for teenagers was a lot different and more stressful than the environment he’d grown used to being a TA dealing with students 18+. After hearing of an opening at Karakura High School as a professor, he immediately knew he would love the job. He first moved to Karakura, the small coastal city, and fell in love with the area straight away. From the culture and the architecture, to the people and the festivals/celebrations, he loved all of it. After familiarising himself with the area and the people, he finally built up the courage to apply to Karakura High to be a Geography Professor.
