What is your motivation for applying?:
I've always considered KPD since joining the server, but I was a little scared off until recently. I think it would be fun to be in a new faction and interact with more people oocly. Icly I would love to use this as a chance to experience KPD roleplay and flesh out my characters who aren't student age. Other than the roleplay it would bring, I want to entertain the idea of putting myself out there in other groups. KPD is one that I've only grazed and it motivates me to join more.
What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
I have more knowledge of detective work from various media I've consumed but specifically for SRP police work I've been in the loop for the opposite reasons. Since I was in Schism and Kishi prior, most the the knowledge I had was the stereotypical ways to hide evidence and get away with things. This meant I had to learn a lot of what cops would look for to even know what to roleplay out in the first place. Sorry for Sebastian's arm, Yonio. My bad. There is definitely more stuff I need to learn, since the bulk of my knowledge is in relation to dealing with crimeRP and gangRP, but I think that learning things outside of those would be easier than learning all the intricate stuff of gangRP.
Aside from the other side of the fence's perspective, I know of the various duties officers work with. This can range from desk work, patrol, working with inmates, and- probably the most noticeable from the outside- responding to calls.
Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
Karakura has such a high crime rate that if there weren't police it would just be the Purge event everyday. While it's always going to be harder to crack down on all those high-profile criminals, there are plenty of amateurs running about that need to be dealt with. Aside from just crimeRP, there are known gangs running about who do various activities ranging from a low-ball crime of vandalism to just straight up murder. There is always going to be criminal roleplay, so in return you need police to keep the city from turning into a raging nightmare.

Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
Laurent is a 5'9 half Japanese male with dark brown hair accompanied by gray wisps and streaks. He looked much older than he actually was, proven by his smile lines and wrinkles of a man dedicated to work. With an average build of muscle, his torso shape was an inverted triangle. Aside from some stray scars from everyday life, his skin was peppered with spider veins along his legs and arms. His face sported a small amount of blond and gray stubble on his chin, and he was mostly seen wearing wire-framed glasses.
How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
The man could use a bit of relaxation, but his personality type leads him to act about the same casually as he would professionally. He is more of a silent listener type, and he spends more time in his head than he does with social situations. This doesn't keep him from his work, of course. Laurent is a strong believer in the line between work and life, and this translates well into his idea of when to be professional and not. His idea of "unprofessional" for himself is as simple as a smile lasting too long.
What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
If they are there in the first place, they have a role. It might take him a bit to truly let others assist him, but he understands that everyone has a role in the force and teamwork is necessary. Don't let this get you assuming that he will just let you do whatever, because to him respect is strictly earned.
Do you see yourself as a leader or a follower? Why?
A leader willing to bite their tongue when needed for the greater good. Laurent has a strong since of self, making it hard for him to open himself to the ideas of others being right. He is a logical thinker, and he knows when he might be falling off the right path, which is when he decides to step down and let someone else lead the way.
BACKSTORY (100+ words)
Born in Karakura, Japan to a young couple, his French father named him after his grandfather as he was the beginning point in their familial wealth. Focused on education since a young age, Laurent spent most of his early life studying before packing everything and studying abroad. Of course he lived with his grandparents during this time, since they were the ones funding all the extensive programs to further Laurent's education. He finished up his first degree while living with his grandparents, but by that point he had grown distant and even embarrassed. He moved into his own small-scale apartment, since the luxury life wasn't exactly his motivation. Laurent preferred a simple environment as long as he was living comfortably. Wolfe thought this was a perfect time to take a gap year, or maybe even a few gap years.
Picking up various hobbies, Wolfe found himself fascinated by a collection of pinned butterflies and taxidermized animals. Walls in his home were soon filled with various collections, yet again focusing on those beautiful and exotic winged-creatures strung up for viewing. For a man much to busy with his own work, he made a mistake with a woman resulting in a child. He couldn't find the time for his now-divorced wife, but he sure found the time for his daughter. Stunting his break was a scandal within the family, leaving his grandmother arrested for the years she spent stealing money from her husband and laundering it- not to mention her large "donations". His opinions of his family had been shattered, letting him relive his life and pick apart each individual moment in time where he could have noticed the signs of his grandmother's actions. Wrapped in his own mind- he became engulfed in dissecting people metaphorically. He returned back to school, trying to take advantage of his wife having his daughter for a few months at a time before she came to live with him to get as far as he could with his education.
Packing up yet again, he returned home to Karakura to try and separate his grandparents affairs from himself with his new-found identity which took him years to discover. Now that his daughter was 18 and able to freely visit between him and his ex-wife, he could branch out and pursue a new meaning for his life.

If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
Step in both verbally and physically if needed, which would most likely be the outcome. He couldn't help himself from scolding them himself prior to reporting them to a higher-up and providing as much info as he could along with any CCTV that could have caught it. If no CCTV was around? Body cam footage. Prior to the official reports, Laurent would separate the co-workers from the inmate and get them any type of medical treatment they need if the abuse had gone that far.
What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
Assuming the assault is from an outside force like a criminal or a group of criminals, Laurent would take whatever precaution would be best depending on the situation. Utilizing his tools, whether pepper spray or taser, he would attempt to incapacitate the attacker. Lethal force should only be applied when there is genuine threat to life. If the assault was from another co-worker, the same steps as above would be used with slight exceptions.
What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
First resort should be reporting to higher-ups with as much evidence as possible. Given the chance of the corruption being within the higher-ups, there would need to be more of an attempt at collecting evidence and weeding out the non-corrupt higher-ups to get assistance. If the corruption was high enough to need help from other government workers or even the mayor, action would be taken to avoid any possible negative backlash or casualties.
How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
Remind them as a warning that bribery is it's own offense and it would be best for them to stop. Assuming that this was as they were already getting charged for one crime, Wolfe would continue his work. If they were to attempt to bribe him again he would fully report them since he had already been nice enough to warn them just for them to ignore it.
