What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
I have been roleplaying since 2017. I have interacted with all aspects of School Roleplay, I also have knowledge in GangRP. Since I’ve roleplayed for so long, I would say that I'm very experienced in roleplaying. I have been a part of multiple events, lore-related roleplay, etc. I heavily research parts of roleplay that I may not understand; such as mental illness, government, law, etc.

What is your motivation for applying?
My motivation for applying is to expand my knowledge throughout the RP I have not experienced yet. Being a part of the same RP can become boring, repetitive, etc. I have wanted to be a part of EMS for a long time now; I just hesitated before due to me not wanting to be a doctor or surgeon due to the way details can make me squeamish. Blood, or anything of the sort that I have to imagine makes me very sick to the stomach, which is why I decided to be a part of a new RP, I would instead go with a Psychiatrist. I have always been very interested in physiology. I have taken classes on it and am currently taking a ‘Understanding Child Development’ class. Which may not be important to this certain position, but I have taken sociology and psychology classes in the past. I love taking time to research things I want to expand my knowledge on, and I feel like interacting with this roleplay is a good start to doing so.

Which role are you applying for?
(Surgeon, Doctor, or Psychiatrist):

Psychiatrist

What knowledge do you have of Hospital Work?
The foundation of the healthcare system is hospital staff. They are in charge of making sure the hospital works efficiently and gives patients high-quality care. The hospital employees who are seen the most are nurses. They hand out prescriptions, and keep an eye on vital signs, and offer emotional support, caring directly to patients. Additionally, they inform patients' families about their diseases and therapies. The medical authorities in the hospital are the doctors. They issue orders for testing, dispense medication, and diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries. They also offer advice to nurses and other medical specialists. Testing and procedures are carried out by medical technicians. They might operate medical equipment, take blood samples, and do X-rays. Medication dispensing is the responsibility of pharmacists (or in this case, surgeons and doctors). In addition to preparing medications and reviewing prescriptions, they also inform patients about their medications. The management of the hospital is the responsibility of the hospital leads. They manage daily activities, create policies and procedures, and make sure the hospital complies with all legal and regulatory standards. Meals are prepared and served by dietary staff to patients and employees. Hospital equipment is repaired and maintained by maintenance personnel. Hospital staff members are crucial to giving patients high-quality care. Together, they make sure that everything at the hospital operates properly and that the patients get the finest treatment possible.

Ainu grew up in a small household in Yokohama, Japan. Her parents had worked most of the time, and she had little interaction with them. And when she did, she noticed their mental health slowly decline. Which had only confused her at a young age, but as she grew older she began to understand the struggles they went through. Which had an impact on her growth as a child, and throughout her teen years. Barely being able to see her parents - and when she did, they were always upset. It confused her, and she wanted to learn why. Her parents never communicated with her. So, she put it into her own hands to study the human mind. She first studied social work and then began to study psychology and sociology. Taking multiple years to have a good understanding of human behavior, and the mind. She first decided to work as a hospice worker, since she decided helping people with grief, and planning the best for their deceased loved ones is the first thing she wished to do. Time passed, and she decided she wished to branch out her work experiences. She moved out to Karakura at the age of 30 and began researching jobs she could pursue. During this time, she decided to review the old notes she took at her college. After gaining confidence she finally decided to apply for a job she had been waiting for.

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY

What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?

Medical Specialty
Specializes in Psychology, and studied Sociology.

Why She Chose This Focus
After being a Hospice Worker, she decided she wished to help people but in a different way. She was very familiar with helping people cope with the grief of losing a loved one due to diseases or old age. But, she decided she wanted to branch off the way she helped others. Helping people with mental illnesses, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, etc. Helping people with more than just grief is something she wanted to do for a long time. Growing connections with people and learning about them grew her to be something she enjoyed. Understanding the human mind and behavior is something she wishes to be more knowledgeable in as well, which is why she believed a position she was fully interested in was a good place to begin her work in Karakura.

What medical residencies did your character take after medical school?
Ainu has only worked as a Hospice Worker. This would be the first hospital she has applied for after taking her classes.

Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
She was a Hospice Worker for 2 years. Other than that, she hasn't officially worked in a hospital yet. This is the first one she is applying to.

Has your character completed any additional schooling?
Yes.

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique?

Ainu has short brown hair and hazel eyes. Her skin is clear and soft, as she prioritizes her skin health a lot. Ainu is a very kind and outgoing person, who always takes time to understand how people feel, their opinions, etc. She is very optimistic to change the way humanity treats each other. Whether it be how they communicate with each, physically treat each other, etc. She believes that ever human being should be treated with kindness, and be heard entirely from their perspectives of life.

How does your character act on and off duty?
On Duty
On duty, Ainu is a kind, respectful and patient woman. She is very sociable and wishes to connect with her patients. She will listen to the patients and is patient with them, going at their pace and sticking with them until they can get their feelings and emotions out. She wants them to feel safe and comfortable around her, and knows that if she is not a good fit for the patient, then she should recommend them to someone who would be better for them. With her co-workers, she is a bit more outgoing and is more open to them. She will spark a conversation if nothing, and is very vocal about being able to help if something does happen.

Off Duty
While off duty, Ainu is outgoing and appreciates the outdoors. She likes spending her time in public areas such as the parks, plaza, or the shrine and interacting with the people of the town. At plaza, she will stand around and interact with anyone who is near her and wants to spark a conversation. She indulges into their life and listens to them before she speaks herself. If she wanted some peace and quiet, she stays in the parks around town, keeping to herself and enjoying the sounds of the town and the silence within the park. She also enjoys the shrine, as it is quiet, beautiful, and an opportunity to talk to more people, who are kind and respectful. She truly appreciates the shrine workers and what they do, and loves to listen to them speak about the shrine and their religion.

Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Ainu is a very sociable person, so she functions better with others.

What plans does your character have for the future?
Ainu plans on joining the government, to help get homeless people off the streets, as she has found it a major problem in Karakura’s society. Ainu also wishes to simply have a healthy family in the near future. She has spent most of her life working on her career and hadn’t made space to have a normal life. While she very well knows that attempting to be a governor may give her less time to achieve this, she will do her best to make time for a normal life. Just because she’s in her 30’s doesn’t mean she will settle down in 20 years, she has a lot more planned for her working career.

How is your character perceived by others? How does it contrast with their perception of themself?
Ainu is perceived as a nice, outgoing person. A person that loves to interact with her clients, and make sure they’re comfortable with her. Making a connection is the first thing people will notice she tries to do. Ainu believes she is nice, but overly loud. This may lead her to seem nervous at certain times, but she quickly switches her mood back to her nice, outgoing self. Ainu doesn't like to compliment herself, since she was never often given them as a child. So when she receives them, she is highly grateful. In fact, she's grateful for a lot of the little things in her life, and she makes they very known in her character.
