Do you have Discord (If so, what is your discord username?):
Qthorne

What is your time zone?:

Describe your activity on the server:
I am very active. I play SRP pretty much every day, and I always find time to fit it in my schedule. During my time on SRP, I’ve met so many amazing people, and every day there is a new scenario to roleplay. It’s been at least 2 or 3 months since I’ve started; I can see myself continuing this way for a very long time. I do work, and so at times, my schedule can be a bit sporadic, however, that typically doesn't impact the time I spend on the server.

I am not extremely active in the Discord servers; however, I always keep up to date with the events and tune into announcements whenever I am notified of them

When it comes to forums, I typically post character applications such as language or height applications. Additionally, I read a lot of the forum posts made by others, especially the ones that are informational. Those helped me out a lot when I was getting the hang of the server, and I still utilize them to this day.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive, you will be demoted?:
Yes, I am aware, and I will continue to play actively to prevent that from happening :)

School Employee Role you are applying for?:
Tutor
In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:

A tutor is someone who supports the needs of different types of students. They do this by meeting them at the academic level they are on, and scaffolding supports to help them succeed. While often overlooked, this role is extremely important because it gives students the opportunity to not only maintain a good academic standing, but also strive to achieve new goals. Tutors aren't just helpful for struggling learners, they also help advanced students by offering new challenges and providing them with ways to strengthen their knowledge. On their average day, a tutor might work with different students on a variety of subjects and languages. They may offer academic support through rephrasing lesson explanations, hosting study sessions, communicating with teachers about progression, and helping with homework assignments. Many times, tutors don't only act as a means for academic support, but they also have a way of supporting students emotionally. They provide students with a sense of comfort and someone they can go to when they are struggling. This naturally opens up a window for connection and allows students to know there's always someone on their side.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
Broad Experience
I've loved roleplaying games for as long as I was involved in the gaming community. I always found ways to express this through the wide range of RPGs that were available to me. Of course, there are single-player games, but I had the most fun when I could interact with other players. I've played a variety of Minecraft servers in addition to other games, and I have met so many amazing people along the way. For me, the best part about being able to roleplay with other people is the interactions I can have and the connections I can make. Roleplay has always been something I’ve had a passion for, and my love for it only grows each day I play on the SRP server.

SRP General Experience
During my time on the SRP server, I have experienced a wide variety of roleplays, and I am glad to say that I have shared them with so many amazing people. Each of my characters has a unique personality, and I have so much fun doing different roleplaying styles depending on who I am using for a scenario. I always found it so cool how no matter how identical a scenario may be, if the characters involved are different, then it is bound to take a new turn.

CityRP
I was able to participate in CityRP on the server through bodyguarding for Hoshino Productions on one of my characters. During my shifts, I am assigned to guard idols, shop openings, and HP events. This has been something I've really enjoyed, as it allows me to engage with a wider range of players in a way that I hadn't considered prior. Additionally, it gave me a look into what goes on behind the scenes of the different jobs on the server through an OOC perspective. This includes working through schedules and logging quotas after each shift.

Roblox RP
For games outside of Minecraft, I spent my early days roleplaying on Roblox. Something I loved about roleplaying on Roblox was the fact that there were so many different ways to do so. There was a wide range of games to choose from, each having its own unique style and mechanics. A lot of the skills I picked up on were learned through my Roblox RPing experiences. One of my favorite games was Robloxian High School. Even to this day, I occasionally hop on Roblox and find new ways to RP.

GTA RP
For roleplaying that I have done outside of SRP, one of the games that I had fun on was GTA. This allowed me to meet so many cool people who always kept things entertaining and easygoing when we played together. Some of the roleplaying that I did consisted of Cops VS Criminals, Family RP’s, Bank robberies, and Street gang rp’s. I really enjoyed my time there, and while it has been a few years since I have RPed on GTA, I still look back on the memories I had fondly.

Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
For starters, I would like to be more involved in the SchoolRP aspect of the server. While naturally, I am able to participate in classes and activities as a student, there are different aspects that I would like to experience. I think that it would be an amazing opportunity to not only expand on my own roleplaying experiences, but to make a possessive contribution to the experiences of others. Additionally, I believe it would make the progression of the school day more fun. Sometimes, when there aren't any classes being hosted, I have a hard time figuring out what to do. Usually, I fill this time by meeting new people or having silly moments with my friends. And while I do enjoy doing those things, I think that this would be a much more productive use of my time.

As I mentioned earlier, I do love meeting new people. Not only is it something I do to pass the time, but it's also a way for me to experience different roleplay scenarios. Joining this faction gives me the opportunity to have so many new experiences in addition to building connections ICLY as well as OOCLY. I treasure the friendships that I am able to make on SRP, and I hope that by becoming a part of this faction, I will be able to make many more.

Becoming a member of this faction also provides me with the opportunity to experience different types of roleplaying. Currently, each of my characters is grade 12, and while there is so much to do on the server, there are a few things that I am unable to do because of the restrictions around my characters' ages. Additionally, I think it would be a lot of fun to focus on more serious RP topics with the use of an adult character. By entering the education sphere through a Tutor character, I am able to get more involved in the academic aspect of the server and find many ways to engage with others throughout the school day.

Situations
/*Do not mention use of FearRP*/

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
First, he would assess the situation, then work on de-escalating and attempting to calm the student down. He would offer verbal warnings for the student to use appropriate language. After calming them down, he would ask questions to identify what triggered their reaction. Oftentimes, a student is not acting out because of malicious intentions. Instead, there is something deeper going on, and this could be the only way they know to direct attention to that issue. Amir is an easy-going guy who loves to crack jokes to help rough days go smoother, and he would use his lighthearted nature to build rapport with the student and hopefully get to the bottom of whatever is causing this behavior.

Amir observed the student, taking a moment to remind himself that it was nothing personal, and he wouldn't bother to entertain the student's remark with a defensive reply. Rather, he advised the student calmly. “Listen, I don’t know what's got you so upset. However, we’re going to have to use appropriate language, alright?” His tone was steady, and despite the authority he gave, his words were still laced with care. “Otherwise, I'm going to have to give you detention, and neither of us want that.” He mentioned, giving the student one more chance to redeem themselves. “So, tell me. Is something going on that upset you? I’d like to get to the bottom of this, because I'm sure you’re a good person, just having a bad moment.”

You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
In the event of a physical altercation, Amir would rush forward, intervening in the situation. He’d always take priority in making sure students get along with one another. He’d stand as a wall between each student, speaking over them, holding a calm demeanor yet making sure his presence is very known. He’d remain on guard, holding out to find out what had happened, calling for faculty backup if necessary. Amir would separate the two, speaking to both students, hearing both stories out before inspecting the knuckles of each, and informing them to each go their separate ways. Possibly escorting both to the nurse if it came down to it. He'd be sure to give both parties detention if they were active participants in the altercation. Disciplining them after school with it, making sure they go separate ways from the school gates. During the progression of the situation, he is sure to regulate his emotions, eliminate biases, and remain impartial in all aspects.

Amir would address the situation he’s dealing with in a firm tone. “Hey! Stop the ruckus.” He’d storm forward, getting in between the students, attempting to halt any further blows from being thrown. Amir would radio for backup if needed, but nonetheless he’d remain between the two students. “What’s going on here!?” He’d shout, urging a reply from the students. “Both of you separate ways, now!” He’d shout once more, rushing to the student the most injured. “What happened?” He’d inquire, hearing the student out for a moment, inspecting their knuckles before rushing to the next student, inquiring the same thing. “Explain to me your side.” He’d listen before inspecting their knuckles as well. Depending on whether they both have bruised knuckles, he’d stamp them both with detention. “I’ll see you after school, go get checked up at the nurse. I’ll follow along with you both if necessary. Students have no business fighting,” He’d state boldly. “Now, scatter.” He’d watch each student walk their separate ways, releasing a heavy sigh of relief.

Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job. How does your character react?:
Upon noticing the inappropriate behavior of another employee, he would verbally interject to prevent them from continuing. After pulling his coworker to the side, he would address the situation and inform them that the activities they engaged in were grossly inappropriate. Following this, he would follow the proper protocol when it comes to documenting incidents about coworkers and utilize the proper chain of command to report the occurrence.

Amir would approach his co-worker, urging them to stop whatever they’re doing. He’d ask to speak to them privately, informing them in a more serious tone than usual. Inside a private area, he’d speak to them honestly. “What you did back there was uncalled for. I’m all for having fun and making this school experience a great one for students, but that was pushing it.” He’d lean forward into his chair, resting his chin upon his hand. “I’m afraid to say I’ll need to inform our higher-ups... I’m not one to cause issues, but for the sake of the students, I feel I need to.” He’d give a glimpse to his coworker. “If you have anything to state, feel free to speak your mind. Nonetheless, whatever your reply may be, I’m speaking to our higher-ups.” He’d wrap the conversation up, walking off.

When in the employee break room, how does your character act?
Amir is a chatterbox, and as mentioned before, talking with others helps make the day go by faster. Depending on whether his colleague is busy or is open to conversation, he may blabber on about a plethora of things, and in return, ask questions to get to know them better. He has high social intelligence and is conscious of the way others feel, so if there is a situation where a coworker seems to be upset or stressed, he’ll offer if there is any way to lighten their load. This might mean helping them grade homework, cleaning up the cafeteria after lunch, providing information on how to work with a specific student, or simply offering a listening ear.

Amir would be beaming with a smile, sitting down chatting with his coworkers. He’d make an effort to be on friendly terms with those around him, asking things like... “How’s everyone dealing with classes? I hope you’re all well.” He’d be just as aware of the room as he was friendly. Surveying how everyone reacts to him, and trying to keep the vibes high! He’d inquire about his co-workers, asking about life outside of work, sports topics, engaging on how they feel about certain players on school teams, and just being a friendly guy to those that he could!

Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:

/me
Takes a deep breath upon opening the classroom door, his eyes scanning the room for a moment. He steps forward, approaching his desk and retrieving a stack of papers, giving each a glance while sorting them out onto the desk before him. Amir– stacks them atop one another, upon completion, he releases a heavy sigh, pausing only for a moment. When the moment passes, he turns around, picturing himself in front of students and releasing a smile. He moves once more, facing the board and– writing ‘Student JSL Lesson’ across its surface. Neatly setting down his chalk and stepping back towards his desk, he takes a seat, jotting notes onto a sheet of paper in preparation for his next tutoring session. Upon finishing up, he releases a heavy sigh.

/me Would watch over the student as they did their work. He'd step to the desk, leaning over and asking, "Do you need help?" Before awaiting the student's reply. He'd lean down, pointing at a piece of the assignment he's helping the student with. He'd point-- towards the problem the student is having issues with. He'd slowly show them the steps towards completing the problem. Stepping up to his whiteboard to further get his point across, making sure the student understands. He'd be very level-headed and– clear with his students. He'd continue explaining the concept, making swift and clean motions on the board. Turning back often to make sure the student follows, before placing down the chalk, and smiling now that he's helped the student.

/me Peered through the glass of the classroom door, taking a moment to scan it before stepping inside. He'd swing the doors open, releasing a hand wave to the students before bowing his head. He'd head to the side of the– the teacher's desk, watching over the students as they were instructed, awaiting further things to happen or if a student were to ask for assistance.

In-Character Section
(Pretend your character is filling this out, not you)

Full Name (First & Last only):
Amir Vidaurra
He’d watch the question with a basic look on his face. He’d prepare himself, taking hold of a pen humming as he began writing his name down in cursive. Upon the page, he wrote, “My name is Amir Vidaurra.” He’d place the pen down, finishing there, feeling no need to elaborate.

Title (Mr, Mrs, Miss):
Mr
Amir scanned the page, eyes tracing the next question. It was a generic question, and he offered the subtlest nod of acknowledgement. He scribbled his answer down swiftly, his writing neat and legible: “Mr/ Mister”

Preferred Name:
Amir
He’d pull the paper up a bit, looking to the next question. He’d ponder to himself wondering if he should add the old nickname his mother gave him. Deciding against it, he just jotted it down. “Amir.” Deciding to not be childish during the written questions. He’d move on to the next question.

Age (Minimum is 25):
25
Upon reaching the next question he’d chuckle to himself wondering if he should formally answer this.. Completely contradicting what he just thought prior! Amir would grab ahold of his pen now putting down. “I’m twenty-five years young. Very youthful.” Smiling, he'd proceed going to the next question.

Gender:
Male
Amir decided to keep the answer short. Marking down a simple reply. “I'm Male. I go by He/Him pronouns.” Moving towards the next question.

Academic Degree:
Simply written. “Masters”
Major(s):
His mind would wander off to his life in college for a moment. Focusing once more, there would be scribbled down by him. “Double Major in English, and Criminal Justice.” before continuing with the questionnaire.
Minors:
Following along to the next question it’d be answered quickly. “I minored in compsci."

Nationality:
African American
Being happy to get an easy question, a sigh of relief was released. He’d write down a simple, but feeding answer. “I’m African American! I grew up in a beach-like area in the states. I only have that as a nationality as far as I know.” He’d state writing with a smile.
Known Languages:
JSL, Japanese, English
Amir would take his pen writing once more for this question. “I know Japanese, Japanese Sign Language, and English.” He’d smile as he wrote. “I’m fluent in all three languages!”
[I am unsure if am able to list English as an individual language due to the confusion it can cause. If I am not able to, please disregard it]

Backstory
Growing up in the state of California, in the city of Marina Del Rey, Amir grew up like any other curious child with the freedom California gave. He was kept well occupied, exploring, making friends, and gaining talents across his town. He had a great family upbringing, containing a wise but smart-mouthed younger sister named Dolly Viddaura, a very intellectually advanced mother named Catherine Viddaura, and holding the anchor of his family, a remarkable father named Darius Viddaura. During his younger years, Amir showed very strong interest in the actions of the world. He’d replicate scary things he saw on television. Minor things that could often hurt him like flipping around or doing tricks while skating. At the ripe age of 12, this much adrenaline was never enough for him. Being a young boy with such a drive to become a legend, he’d do whatever he could to leave a strong story. Whether it be dangerous parkour around the city, being in places he shouldn’t be, you name it. The only thing keeping Amir intact till this day was his mother. She was quick to catch an attitude with him, but even quicker to keep him in his place. She was huge on education, being a nurse at the VERY young age of 23. She knew Amir would turn out to be a star, a raging one if he put his mind to it, but he was more of an activist than he was a book reader. Therefore he would keep all of his education high, but his activity just as much. His father would always approve of what he had done, stating that he’s a “Young boy who wants to leave behind a legend.” Stating he’s exactly how he was when he was younger. His father was an active lifeguard at Venice Beach. Venice Beach is a very well known tourist destination in Marina Del Rey, therefore his father was very active on his feet as well, that being one of the very many traits Amir inherited. Unlike his father and him though, his little sister Dolly at the age of 5 years old was very reserved, short spoken, and had an attitude that came from her mother. Amir would always speak about his amazing little sister, seeing what others could not, always praising her skill for creativity, her quick wits in socializing even if minimal and telling her she’d grow up to be someone the world would love on fast. He was always a caring boy, but an even more amazing person to the family. The Viddaura family wasn’t large, but they’re happy. Happy enough to live day by day, loving one another, and creating new memories. These were the pleasant younger memories of Amir.

Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective):
Feeling excited to answer the question, he’d pause for a moment keeping a huge grin on his face. He’d sit pondering on how to answer the question before he took his pen and started writing. “I believe students deserve proper teaching support. Growing up, I had lots of friends. Some good, some bad. But, one thing they all had in common was they had someone to rely on. For me, that didn’t exactly happen. My mother instilled a strong sense of education in me from the moment I started learning to read, and write. I’ve noticed in this school.. Not a lot of students have the liable sources to get said support, I’d love to play that role, keeping students caught up to date on different subjects, and making sure everyone gets along with one another.” He’d place the pen down for a moment, shaking his hand to give it a break. “I just want to be someone that can further the education of the building. I’m sure others can relate as well.” He’d place the pen down now, taking a break before reading the next question.
Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
Pausing as this question came up, Amir would really stop to think about this. Joining a faculty team would be a huge step. “I believe I’d have a strong sense of support for schooling. Not only do I bring a sense of understanding, I’m very easygoing and I pick up on things in almost an instant. I’m not going to shame other applicants, but being in a faculty area for a school requires fast actions, understanding, and a sense of knowing when to put your foot down. This is why I believe I should be accepted over other applicants, adaptability, and reliability to the team” Placing his pen down he wraps up there.
