(the RRR sounded better...)

Describe your activity:
╰┈➤ I believe I am a decently active player on SRP - both in-game and out. Whenever I'm not online in-game, I'm usually tabbing into the Forums or on any SRP Discord server. It's quite a handful considering that I actively look after two leadership roles that require my attendance both ICly and OOCly. During my time on the server, I've been part of many events, engaged in tons of Roleplay scenarios, and developed several of my characters... Playtime is scattered all across my three accounts of which I've taken full optimization on their primary roles to keep myself intertwined with SRP's ins and outs. It's noteworthy to mention that despite my time zone, I'm readily available during the server's peak player count hours. Being a night owl has its perks in this area - now having a breaking record of nightly joins into a singular game. Yes, I pretty much only play SRP... and league of legends. BOO; get jumpscared.

What is your motivation to apply for reporter?:
╰┈➤ I have a strong gutted feeling that Z is reading this text. If he is, then that right there is the culprit. No- but seriously, I've always carried a deep interest in the reporter faction due to its alignment with my hobby of writing. This faction has been painted as one of my character's absolute dream job; for good reason too! The circulation of news is essential to keep things interesting - allowing room for discussion, mysteries to unravel, and perhaps some gaps to ensure giggles and gags. The News Station being a massive library of puzzles and enigmas (and a super cool staircase) tempts me with absurd curiosity about what the reporters do in their spare time. Don't get me started on the reporters, why are each of these characters cool as heck?! There's a flavor for every reporter out there... the tired one, the chill one, the loud one, the batshit crazy one, the- other batshit crazy one... It's definitely a team of people I want to involve myself with and get to know!
╰┈➤ My writing prowess has waned over time - forcing me to find the means of improving it as fast as possible! While roleplaying on the daily (nightly) proved to boost my expressive writing, the more scholarly and formal writing I studied as an English major began to dim. I hate to transition myself to being great at one thing and then bad at another, therefore I believe spending time as a reporter (and with other reporters) will help me remedy this to a more balanced nature. All in all, the reporter faction stands out as a well-bonded and skillful community; I'm all for it!

Do you have any experience with writing? What is your relationship with writing?:
╰┈➤ I have a love-hate relationship with writing; like an on-and-off relationship; like that one ex that keeps coming back except I'm the ex; the burn your favorite shoes kind of ex; the traumatic incident kind of- okay. I have A LOT to say about 'writing' but I'll keep it short for the sake of you meeting the end to this answer. You can clearly see me one day absolutely cherishing the written word as I read countless stories, delve deep into lore, and pick up the pen to make some myself... then you'll witness a malding Rexi gnawing at graphite all evening long. As a kid, I never had to deal with the malding bit. Being at the top of my English class, I was the first (and only) person to vote on a writing assignment and then escalated to me taking English as a major. Ah yes, maybe that was my breaking point.
╰┈➤ In all seriousness though, I love writing-... kind of- okay, we're not repeating this again! I genuinely adore expressing my personality, my emotions, my thoughts, and my creativity in the things I write about. Here, is an excerpt from my introduction forum post, "My hobbies are writing Fiction, reading Fiction, and watching Fiction-- I love Fiction. Back when I was a kid, I would draw dragons on everything you can think of; tables, chairs, notebooks, tissues, cardboard, my arms... My older brother had a video of me, which he used to mock me UP TILL TODAY, where I ranted about Spyro the dragon barely being able to fly on my PS2. My fascination with dragons evolved into adulthood as I wrote about 600 pages of my novel that carried out the story of a half-dragon creature. Sadly, I haven't gotten the motivation to complete the entire story. It's supposed to be a 6-book long story!"

Are you aware of - and will follow - the set of rules provided to you?:
- I've read and agreed with all of the rules thus far. In case I've missed any, I would be happy to review them as I carry no intention of breaking a single rule on this server!

Why should we accept you over others?:
╰┈➤ Ah, the question that's as old as time. Of course, I do not view myself as 'better' than other candidates for this role, however, I believe my skillsets are justifiably valuable to the faction. Aside from having beaten writer's block several.. SEVERAL times, I remain steadfast in my pursuit of bringing good writing, a compelling story, and a table- to the table. The separation of good and great writing comes from the writer's experience in receiving relevant criticism. I am no stranger to this. I also mentioned relevant criticism since the ability to distinguish between constructive and destructive criticism is yet another skill I've practically studied. Know that I am a tougher writer than most in this regard!
Kazuo's biggest fan and Kazuo
╰┈➤ The reporter faction has taken over my mind. I mean it. Almost everything I've built upon myself during my playtime on SRP was constructed in hopes I would be a part of the faction. Having played a well-known character, Nikolai Sidorov, whose entire purpose in life is to become a reporter for about a year and a half (OOCly speaking) has dug me into a hole of no return. I can't just NOT apply! Genuinely, I had an entire plan for this application. First, get Nikolai involved with journalism, check. Get him into Onrain; ~140 followers, check. Use photography as a means to convey information; became its club-leader, check. DetailRP with almost every dialogue; it's turned into a bad habit, check. Own a poster of the station's publisher, che- wait... ANYWAYS AHAH- I'm a solid pick for a committed member to the faction- that's all.
Photography and Journalism Clubleaders

Do you understand you have to stay completely neutral with all reports? (Your report can't have any OOC or IC bias towards a specific group.)
- I understand. Remaining neutral is an essential quality a reporter should mirror in their reports. Thankfully, I have no objection to this as I remain neutral to everything OOCly.

Do you trust that you will be able to stay active and complete the monthly quota?:
- Of course! I already discussed the quota with a current member of the faction and have assessed that I'll be able to handle it!

Summarise what you imagine work as a reporter is:
- /me slams keycard.
- Reporters are given a set of tools i.e. the station that allows them to broadcast hefty lore drops throughout all of Karakura. The broadcast feature is used to announce mundane news such as the weather, relevant occurrences, songs of the day, and best of all... news reports! Working as a reporter, you're expected to be somewhat of an insider to information that poses an importance to be made public. The way I see it, the position offers a great balance of OOC and IC. The OOC part being the practice of publishing digestible forum posts and cooperating interview schedules. The IC part being the live broadcasts, the interviewing process, and tending to the station's front desk. The front desk obviously being the main source of news-gathering as reporters give an ear to the townsfolk to translate it into news.

IC (In-Character) Information:
Zachery Ichiyama-Carluccio
Full Name:
> "The full name's Zachery Ichiyama-Carluccio."
-- A voice uttered with complete serenity mirroring the self-assured figure that sat comfortably in front of the interviewer. --
>
"Pleasure, thank you for having me."

Preferred Name/Nickname and Title (e.g., Ms, Mr)
-- The male's eyes seemed to have taken a path separate from the conversation's. He studied the room of its equipment that either was hunged or laid. He spoke right before the interviewer would grab his attention. --
> "Zeke's a good name; Mr. Carluccio's a little too on the nose but it works."

Current Age (25+):

-- Hearing the question, a half-smile conjured. --
> "I'm 26 years old, sir. Could say I just barely cut the age requirement, eh?"
-- A slight chuckle, complimenting his soft-spoken tone and witty nature. The male despite his age seemed to surface a sense of solace in the acoustic and echo-proofed interview room. --

Past job/work experience:
-- Affirmed registering the question with a nod, he'd ponder briefly to recollect his thoughts before answering --
> "Chiii. . ."
-- A buzzing sound the male seemed to have developed as a habit; usually a sign of deep thought or recollection to Zeke. --
> "Never really been static with my career choices. Before coming forward to the news station today, I graduated from acting school and spent time as an understudy. Just a little before that, I helped out a local friend in managing his shop; I'm a quick learner."
-- The male rested his elbow against the edge of his seat, trading glances between the interviewer and the table between them. --
> "Three years served in the Royal Navy starting at 18 years old."

Degree/qualifications:

-- The male lifted his brows as though he'd been waiting to be asked this question. --
> "Bachelor's in Communications, graduated from acting school."

Nationality and born location:

> "I was born in Abderdeen Scotland. Later lived most of my life in Florence, Italy."

Phone Number:
030-441-1101

How would you describe yourself in under 150 words?:
> "I served in the Royal Navy with my brother for some time though the lens of a camera is where I feel at ease -- not to be an ex-military acting diva or anything. Chii... 'Suppose it might be the fact I tense up with something isn't recorded. Y'know? The itching sensation that something extraordinary could happen but unlikely to be caught on camera? That being said, I can't lie and say I wouldn't take full advantage of a job like this. It's not a bad idea to thrust me forward, I tend to be generous with my curiosity. Asking the right questions at the right time; in style. Yeah, maybe just a little bit of a diva. What can I say? Look good doing what you like. I beat around the bush, but that's fine; I make it entertaining."

What are you interested in writing about? How will you achieve this, and would you consider going out of your comfort zone?:
-- The male would be seen clasping his hands together, shrugging his shoulders. --
> "I dabbled into copywriting though I'm sure that's not an asset the news station looks for mostly, or so I would imagine. Written scripts and scenes for some plays, and had to do a lot of essay writing in college... Chiii, I'd say I enjoy writing about festivities. It's all theatrics, right? I know a great deal that the station keeps up to date on large events such as these. As for my comfort zone..."
-- Allowed a teethed grin as he laid his back against his chair --
> "I'm game."
-- Wink! --

What are your expectations for the job?:
> "A lot of personal growth. Not just for my skills, but also for my involvement with the island. Hoping that working alongside the most knowledgeable characters in Karakura will bring me toward understanding this place and its people a lot better."
-- Perking up his brows followed by a slight lift in his shoulders --
> "Wouldn't wanna end up as a tourist forever, heh."

Do you have a criminal record? If so, list the crimes below:

> "No criminal record here."

Fluent Languages (Underline your native):

> "Italian."
> "Japanese."
> "German."
> "Russian, still working on Russian."

Zachery Art

PROMPTS:
You will have to write two reports about a topic of your choice. Here we can see how pronounced your writing is and how creative you are. Use your own formatting and your own report idea. (If you're found plagiarizing an actual report or another applicant, you will be denied.)

#1 - General report. Report about a topic, informing players about an event or significant issues to Karakura.

John-Doe Incident

#2 - Interview. It's important to have well-rounded questions. Create your own interview with ten questions or more. And answer them yourself.

-- The equipment used in unraveling the preceding interview would be a high-quality tripod, both Zachery Carluccio and Anatoly Sidorov-Han wearing a microphone tugged against the collars of their shirt. Sat by the mountain overlooking the Ochiba Forest, the video would demonstrate a serene orange hue as the sunset took center stage in its ever-so-dazzling performance. --
Ochiba - Take One
-- The interview begins. --

[Zachery Carluccio]
"You grace us with your presence, Mister Sidorov."
-- Z would lift an arm carrying a snarky smile as he'd spiral his wrist in circles; bowing in the introduction of the interviewee whimsically. --

[Anatoly Sidorov-Han]
"Hah! Knock it off, Zeke. Isn't this whole thing meant for your job application?"
-- The businessman cackled, holding a cup of green tea as he sat one leg over the other. Taking in a quick sip, he'd tilt the glass as he remarked... --
"To think you'd take this opportunity a little more seriously than that."

[Zachery Carluccio]
-- Promptly lowered his tomfoolery after sharing a moment of laughter. He'd then shrug out as he answered... --
"Fair, fair... You're correct on all counts with that one. But you know me, my good friend, I wouldn't just-"
-- Seemed to have cut himself off, he'd lift a brow as he questions in frustration. --
"Hold on just a moment, I'm the interviewer here! Rewind!!!"

-- The footage would be interrupted with a 5-second long black screen as Anatoly's laughter took over the silence of the display. Seems like Zachery's editing wasn't his strong suit... Eventually, the footage would return back to its same scene. --
Ochiba - Take Two
-- The interview begins. Take two. --
[Zachery Carluccio]
"Thank you for accepting my invitation, Mister Sidorov-Han. Hope the hike wasn't too harsh?"

[Anatoly Sidorov-Han]
"Not quite where I'd imagine an interview to take place but it does offer a beautiful landscape. I should be thanking you, it's not often I take time for myself to enjoy these woods. What's it called again, Ochiba Forest?"
[Zachery Carluccio]
"Spot on, Anatoly. The purpose of this conversation isn't to discuss the local landmarks, however; perhaps another time! It's fascinating to know that you're just as much a new resident to Karakura as I am, but in your little time also accomplished a business at the shopping district. What motivated you?"

[Anatoly Sidorov-Han]
"The town offers an area of familiarity and belongingness; most of my family resided here for many years. As you may know, I own not only one but three businesses -- not including Yona-Yona. Two in Germany, and one in Russia. You could say that my field in economics and marketing grants a sensation similar to what the town emits. An ambitious goal in mind, the support of family in heart, and the initiative of action in hand."
[Zachery Carluccio]
"I must confess, it's rather enchanting how you've described your passion. But... Four businesses, huh? Doesn't that get overwhelming?"

[Anatoly Sidorov-Han]
"It's like structuring a building -- proper organization, management, and care all work together to keep it away from crumbling and towering over you. Yes, it does get overwhelming at times; a case that happens to even the greatest in this field. Oftentimes, you'll recognize patterns that you previously thought would cause unstoppable failure. These malfunctions are necessary to learn what's beyond what the textbooks say. Over the years, I fused myself with my businesses to learn each of their needs. It's trial and error mostly; how I've later been educated on the principles of multi-tasking and multi-management."
[Zachery Carluccio]
"Experience is a brutal teacher. Chiiiii... And you find yourself comfortable with where you are right now? A work-life balance?"

[Anatoly Sidorov-Han]
"Cutting straight to the personal questions, are we? Hah!"
-- The Russian male would rest his back against the chair, allowing the gushes of mountain air to conjure a relaxed smile on his face. Pondering briefly... --

"I'm very much comfortable with how things are, Zeke. This ties in together with my last answer. It's all about patience and putting good trust in yourself and your company. Who knows, I could be unburdened today but stressed in the next? It's quite alright; I wouldn't have taken up business if I wasn't a risk taker."
[Zachery Carluccio]
"Hah, good point. Apologies for jumping quickly into personal territory. Can't help but feel a little baffled with your responses so far. Circling back, what do you think inspired you to engage in business?"

[Anatoly Sidorov-Han]
"That's a fun one! Let's see here... I originally came from a poor household in Yekaterinburg, Russia. It wasn't as rough as you'd probably imagine -- what our family lacked in wealth was made up with care. Parents didn't dawn any expectations on us, yet I wanted to work to assist everyone. My true inspiration is my tattoo artist, who's also my first boss. Working with him made a huge impact on my life."
[Zachery Carluccio]
"I see. Now, if you were to recommend someone to fill in your shoes, what qualities do you think they need to carry with them?"

[Anatoly Sidorov-Han]
"To understand that business isn't a one-way ticket to success. Books and news covers are made to showcase those who've raised towers from the ground up, but the narratives conveyed by a failing business show more grounds for learning how to succeed than anyone else. To be a leader -- goes without saying, an essential asset that will set you apart. Your employees will remember not the success you've generated, but the inspirational leader you were to them. To be a risk taker, jumping headfirst into calculated danger zones. This comes at either the expense of your time, budget, or reputation in the field."
[Zachery Carluccio]
"You make counting numbers sound so cool, 'Toly. Hah! Thank you for giving me your time; I'm certain these words will carry great significance to any upcoming salesperson. Is there anything else you would like to mention or add before we bring this interview to a close?"

[Anatoly Sidorov-Han]
"Of course, pal! It's been my pleasure. As for mentioning any last notes... Well, you've got something stuck between your tee-"

-- The footage would abruptly end at that. --
