Even though it hasn't been long since they met, Hanamaru is someone who comes up in conversation when you talk about their friend group. While Hanamaru is a college student, it doesn't really hold them back in terms of hanging out and doing things together, especially since they both live in the same place. Saeko loves hanging with her, and will always be there for her.
"Hanamaru really is a great friend. She's extremely funny and just a joy to be around. We work together, live close together and we just get along so well. I admire her confidence and honesty towards things and I especially admire her bravery when it comes to friends and family."

Since the first day of Grade 7 these two have been inseparable. Always having her back and defending her when she gets herself into trouble, Saeko acts like an older sister to her despite being the same age. They spend most of the day together almost everyday, even sharing the same group of friends. If you manage to spot one of these two, it's likely the other isn't far behind. They are polar opposites personality wise, but that's why they pair so well.

The two don't really talk that much. They met on a camping trip with multiple other friends where they got along well. To Saeko, Koinu's the honest friend, and that's why she enjoys her company so much. With Koinu, Saeko knows she can be at ease, knowing that Koinu has her back if she was in trouble. Both of them are loyal to each other, and it'll be pretty hard to split their friendship.

Sometimes it’s hard to hear Saeko over the noise of the school or a busy shopping district as she speaks with a soft tone. If needed, she can raise her voice to get people’s attention but thankfully, she has friends who will get people’s attention for her, allowing for her to remain speaking with a calming tone. However, she does emphasise her words, often expressing her words more than others, using a supportive and encouraging voice.

Saeko is extremely extroverted, often making new friends or just talking to people for no reason other than to talk to people. She will go to any event she is invited to and will do anything to make people feel included.

When asked to do anything, Saeko will make sure she delivers, doing it to the best of her ability. There is rarely a limit to what she will or will not do when asked which can lead to her being taken advantage of, but she knows how to handle herself so there’s no need to worry.

Gentle and caring, she is often putting others before herself. Having dealt with many types of people in the past, Saeko has developed a semi thick skin, not taking much to heart but still being sensitive to certain things. Depending on what you mean to her or how close you are with her, your words may hurt more or less to her. As she holds mainly positive opinions on everyone she has met, Saeko has no need to worry about being hurt but still keeps her guard up with who she does hold close to her.

People such as Karina and Hanamaru know a lot about Saeko, but if talking to people that aren't them, Saeko closes off, not talking about herself at all and often trying to change the subject back onto the person she is talking with, resorting to talking about her name or her academic involvement instead of personal interests.

Saeko does experience feeling lonely and exhausted. Being social and positive all day can have negative impacts on the person doing it, as Saeko knows all too well. Without proper outlets for her emotions and bottling up a lot of things that do upset her, she often feels herself become almost buried with emotion. Instead of talking to friends about this, she releases it the only way she feels acceptable - alone. Maybe this could be considered anxiety, her fear of being seen as anything other than happy and positive but she doesn't think about it long enough to figure it out.

To begin, they were extremely close friends and spent most of her time with Karina. However, now they're adopted sisters since Saeko became part of the Koji family. She loves hanging out with her and they definitely vibe off each other's energy. Saeko hopes to continue to make memories with her.

Even though it hasn't been long since they met, Hanamaru is someone who comes up in conversation when you talk about their friend group. While Hanamaru is a college student, it doesn't really hold them back in terms of hanging out and doing things together, especially since they both live in the same place. Saeko loves hanging with her, and will always be there for her.
"Hanamaru really is a great friend. She's extremely funny and just a joy to be around. We work together, live close together and we just get along so well. I admire her confidence and honesty towards things and I especially admire her bravery when it comes to friends and family."
Les Kunimi - [Best Friend]
Since the first day of Grade 7 these two have been inseparable. Always having her back and defending her when she gets herself into trouble, Saeko acts like an older sister to her despite being the same age. They spend most of the day together almost everyday, even sharing the same group of friends. If you manage to spot one of these two, it's likely the other isn't far behind. They are polar opposites personality wise, but that's why they pair so well.
"If you'd have told me that, before I met her, we'd be best friends, I probably wouldn't have believed you. Now, I realise just how amazing the decision was to make friends with her. I don't know what I'd do without her."
Zoro X. Kamodo - [Friend]
The two don't really talk that much. They met on a camping trip with multiple other friends where they got along well. Apart from that one meeting, they don't really hang out outside of school, often either saying 'hello' to each other on campus or spending a free period together. They're more like absent friends, but she'll always be there if he needs her.
"He's an odd guy, but he's extremely caring. I don't think I'd know how to handle myself a lot of the time if it wasn't for him."
Harl Kunimi - [Friend]
Being Les' brother, it was inevitable that they would become friends. Since both Harl and Saeko hang with Les, they ended up hanging out more than usual. Even though they don't actually talk that much, they often do hang out, enjoying each others company. Their friendship is pretty strong and Saeko tries to keep him out of trouble.
"He's a trouble maker, but that's one of the reasons we love him. He makes my life so interesting, I'm rather grateful to be his friend."
Koinu 'Pup' Aburaya - [Friend]
To begin with, Saeko didn't really think her and Koinu would have a friendship they do now. They made friends rather abruptly and soon after, Koinu invited her to a camping trip. To Saeko, Koinu's the honest friend, and that's why she enjoys her company so much. With Koinu, Saeko knows she can be at ease, knowing that Koinu has her back if she was in trouble. Both of them are loyal to each other, and it'll be pretty hard to split their friendship.
"Koinu's crazy, in a great way. She just knows how to light up a room and make people smile. She comes across quite strong personality wise, but I believe that she really does have a heart of gold."
Mazaki 'Mebo' Harishima - [Friend]
Meeting through Koinu, the two didn't really talk too much to begin with. As they were part of different friend groups, the only time they really communicated was during group crossovers. Recently, they have grown closer, with Saeko helping her out especially when it rains. Their friendship isn't built off verbal communication but more through actions.

Emiko Taiyoko - [Friend]
Being fluent in JSL, it was easy for Saeko and Emiko to become friends. Saeko translates for Emiko a lot during school to make communication easier for her with other friends. There's a lot of trust within their friendship (especially thanks to Zhang's PE class). They hang out quite often, allowing for them to make memories - even if it is just bad volleyball games.

The two have been spending a lot of time together recently. While having clashing personalities, the two seem to get along pretty well. When together, it's pretty chaotic, but that's the reason it's so fun. Saeko hopes to grow closer to her and develop a deeper friendship with her.
"She's an interesting character. It's refreshing to hang with her, especially since she's always able to lift my mood without doing anything. I definitely love her presence and hanging around with her."

Uchida Takehiro - [Ex-Boyfriend]
The two hit it off under pretty unfortunate circumstances. Being there for each other during the hard time brought them closer together and ultimately ended up in Uchida confessing his love for her. He manages to make her feel better even if he isn’t aware that she is upset. It was her first relationship, but maybe they rushed into it. Saeko has no bad feelings towards him but it wasn't made to work out.
"I still care for him a lot, it's tough. Whenever I feel like everything could be okay, I come across another hurdle. I'm confused, and I really don't know how to talk about it. Maybe it'll fix soon because I do miss him, but I can't guarantee it'll be okay. I just want to know why he did it."
