The Occult Club, Amelia Lee Moon’s paragon, the club with engagement (a first), that surpassed the once mighty Journalism Club itself. An impressive feat of the Karakuran student body- but what happens when you leave an occult institution to children, and then you create a two-party system within? Basically, you get Lord of the Flies but there’s actually a beast and all the little British boys murdered each other. The Mirror that reflects your life’s regrets pops up, Teresa Keating becomes a literal political puppet, Carlisle Fox goes “You’re fired.” to Vice-Lead Hattori and almost to the whole club, self-promotion ensues, Mei Miura is pretending not to know me, and then puppet is alleged to be puppetmaster, or some wacky garbage like that. What’s happening? What’s going on? Do I sound pissed? I frickin’ am.
══•●•══
On June 4th, 2025, somewhere around the witching hour (suspicious), incumbent Club Speaker Carlisle Fox has made the bold decision to host his own meeting. Wow! Good for him. People start pouring into a gloomy Occult Club Room, lights off, Ofudas gone, everything a little off. (The monkey was hung upside down. Bad sign.) Want to know what was the most off? Teresa Keating and the soon-to-be ‘elected’ Vice-Lead, Carlisle Fox.
Everyone starts pouring in to the sight of Keating blindfolded, with Fox carrying a most peculiar object: a doll. A creepy ass doll.
“Why, Mr. Carlisle, what is that?” we asked. “Just an important doll I made, don’t look too closely,” he said. Something like that, at least. Some bull that it was a keepsake, something that was real important to him. The more you looked, the stranger it got. It had pins in the shoulders and head, which isn’t anything ordinary. Each time he messed with it, it seemed Teresa had some reaction. A literal worm crawled out of it (which met an unfortunate death to the iron foot of the Club Speaker at the end of the meeting).
Throughout the meeting, members asked questions ranging from generally curious to full passive aggression. Carlisle even mentioned how he taught Ryousetsu Tachitsu and Tori Saiky how to make dolls... weren’t those two involved in some dubious affairs? Cute stuff. Some people questioned him, and some people asked general questions about the club. Want to know the responses? “Shut up.” - “You don’t get to ask questions anymore.” - “I’ll remove you from the club.” Isn’t that swell? Who gave him that permission? The public archives locked away, covering the evil mirror banned (what’s he want with The Mirror anyways?), Teresa herself told to silence.
And things only got more elevated. Yukihime Saotome Hattori struts in with all the bravado of a dictator on their last legs- gave a whole speech and all! Response? Removal. She is no longer the Vice-Lead... WHAAAAAT!? That’s insane. Crazy. Diabolical, even. Some protested, standing up, and then Carlisle threatened to remove all of them, not before declaring Yukihime herself no longer a member of the club.
Don’t worry, it gets better! In response to the club’s outburst of disdain and dismay, Club Speaker missteps into Club Leader. “I am your leader!” Of course, that wasn’t what he meant though, right? His following self-promotion to Vice Lead and removal of the Occult Club’s election process seemed to prove otherwise.
Meanwhile, the floor itself was swirling, papers slowly shifting around the rug (we’ll all pretend to ignore that) and Carlisle was squeezing and covering his Dammit Doll every time anyone wasn’t listening. Strangely, at the same time, Teresa is gasping for air? Weird. Everyone’s catching his drift, we’re all getting tired- Teresa’s blindfold suddenly falls off (with no touch human or wind), and she sees the doll, followed by her... really not looking too good!
Carlisle decides to finish off the meeting with a final assignment. Nothing weird... just write our biggest insecurities and flaws in a book, maybe even start with someone else’s! Even better, he forced the ill (?) Club Lead to hand them out! Doesn’t this sound fishy? He’s got the whole Occult Club riled up, naming him Enemy No. #1 for the third time (at least), so promptly, he told us to “get out of [his] club room”.
The mania begins.

Voodoo Dolls and Magic Mirrors
Voodoo Doll.
Isn’t it clear enough? Carlisle’s little elf on the shelf wasn’t just a little charm of his or something for comfort. It’s not everyday you see a doll with pins in it- in fact, such imagery is folkloric in nature.
If you know anything about anything, you’ve heard 0f a voodoo doll. Contrary to popular belief, it has no connection to Haitan Vodou nor Louisana Voodoo, the names are just related. A voodoo doll is an effigy, a cursed representation of a person created and given purpose using something related to them (knowledge, hair, etc.). Through that, pins are stuck in to induce illness, injury, et cetera. All things that happen to the effigy happen to its model.
Of course, many (including myself), until now, believed these horror movie and fairytale objects were just that: plot devices and evil MacGuffins. Yet on that day, we saw Teresa’s state manipulated and attributed by and to that doll. Her burns, her sickly state, and even a moment where she struggled to breathe.
Carlisle himself taught two students how to make these dolls, and these are the same students who had been related to strange misfortune and illness in the Occult Club prior. Weird.
The Mirror.
The Mirror, framed in silver and claw marks, with a black glass surface that counterintuitively reflects nothing, was stolen many seasons ago, disappearing off the surface of the Earth. KPD couldn’t find it, nor could Teresa herself. Then, one day, Carlisle had retrieved it and brought it back.
Suddenly, his interest was vested in keeping its surface unobstructed, while Teresa was, herself, seemingly enraptured with it.
Mirrors, according to many practices, are gateways for spirits- entryways into the supernatural world. One student claimed that The Mirror grew unearthly cold, distorting the images within, before shattering their Ofuda.
Something is up with that thing. The claw marks surrounding it are not only in that room, but other rooms of the Occult Club, the Church’s basement, and even Room 312. A little birdie told me that the claw marks belonged to one ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇... How odd.
What does Carlise (or Teresa) want with The Mirror? Is it connected to the voodoo doll? And how are Teresa’s frequent (albeit possibly forced) trips to Room 312 (and its resident) involved? Those were our questions. They’ve changed.

The Abdication of Carlisle Fox
“BE IT KNOWN AND DECLARED,
Teresa Keating, arch-hypocrite of all time, has deceived you all, and shall bring about calamity unto all who enter here.
Teresa Keating is not to be trusted, She blackmails. I was never the villain. I never wanted to be the villain but held back by something I wanted she twisted my strings and manipulated me like the villain she is. You notice weird tidings, her. Please be careful.
She was never in any REAL danger.
The cursed doll was all her idea.
She will stop at nothing to bring about complete despair within the occult club and the ruination of the souls of all members.
She has deceived me, and now will no doubt remove me from my position.
I resign.
Do not let her get to him, do not trust her. See to it Ofuda is re-installed in the club room forthwith. Remove the mirror. Your souls are at stake.
Carlisle Fox.”

Carlisle himself, just a few days after declaring himself the new Vice-Lead, resigns. In a hurry it seems, as well. What happened?
I, being a Teresa stan ‘till I die (subject to change), believed at first that there was no way this was real. After all that? What we all saw? Some said that Carlisle would never back down this easily.
That is a good point, but on the contrary, I really couldn’t imagine anything Teresa herself could’ve done to make the mighty Carlisle back down so quickly. Why the sudden change really? Did Teresa go full Godzilla on him?
And this letter leaves even more questions: if Carlisle’s accusations are true, what is The Mirror? Was the doll ever real? If he didn’t force her hand, why was he ever Club Speaker? So many questions. If she was the mastermind... why not ask her?
So I gave her a call, and I asked for an interview, thinking she’d decline again. And this time, she answered: yes.
══•●•══
A Saint's TestimonyWith the intention to hear Teresa’s side of the story, I gave her a call. Last time, when I tried to interview her about Room 312, she was adamant about not taking an interview. Finally, though, I got Sister Keating to have an interview with me.
Namely, I asked her about Carlisle himself, the odd new trinkets of The Occult Club, and her response to the former Club Speaker / Vice-Lead’s allegations against her.
Now, here it is:
[A clip for online viewers, a transcript for school paper readers.]
The Archdiocese of Karakura’s main office, with Clémentine in the Bishop’s chair and Teresa across.
Clémentine: Hello, Ms. Keating! It’s lovely to have you here today. Originally, last time I requested, you chose to deny interview. However, as I understand you’re like... open to that now- fighting the slander and all?
Teresa: Well, when one is charged with working to bring about the ruination of souls... one does feel compelled to speak out, yes.
Clémentine: Oh yes! I’m totes sure of it. We do have a few questions for you regarding your accuser, and then his accusation, if you wouldn’t mind.
Teresa: I do not mind. Go ahead.
[. . .] A cut in the footage, as though there had been a long pause.
[!] Now, their meeting was inside The Occult Club Apartment, with Teresa in her typical chair and Clémentine in a swivel chair.
Clémentine: I was made aware by a few people that you had expressed some like... like... disliking of him prior.
[!] Teresa’s phone rings.
Clémentine: So like- why’d you make him Club Speaker? Were you forced?
Teresa: Bro...
Teresa: [On the phone] Yes? - A failure. - Good day.
[!] She turned off her phone.
Teresa: I was threatened in a way, yes.
Clémentine: With the doll?
Teresa: I withdraw that for legal reasons, I... I will say he used things and said things, and they made me feel afraid. One was the doll.
Teresa: Though, I only learned of the doll at a club meeting at the same time as everyone else.
Teresa: When... when my blindfold fell off. I- I don’t know why it fell off.
Clémentine: I see.
Teresa: I didn’t touch it, I- I didn’t touch it...
Clémentine: Why did you have a blindfold?
Teresa: He blindfolded me during the meeting and made me remain seated while he spoke and addressed the club.
Clémentine: Would you say you approved of his decisions, like the removal of Vice-Lead Hattori, and his threats to remove applicants and members of the club? As well as appoint himself Vice-Lead...
Teresa: He said these things, and... well, I didn’t really even get the chance to follow through with those directives. He pinned up that note to the club room door literally not even a week after barking all these directives. - I didn’t agree with them, but... I was not allowed to speak.
[!] Clémentine nodded and frowned.
Clémentine: For the sake of public curiosity... Mr. Fox, during his meeting, seemed to be very interested in The Mirror. Do you know what that thing is- what Carlisle could want with it?
[!] Teresa looked down mournfully towards the floor.
Teresa: The mirror is a thing most profane. What does he want with it? Why did he install it there? I know what he told me, but fear I maybe sued if I speak openly on this matter.
Clémentine: Is there anything you can tell us?
Teresa: What I can say is I do not believe he reinstalled it out of the goodness of his heart, and just to give the club back something that was taken from it. The mirror was stolen, you see. He found it and returned it to us somehow. - I filed a report with the KPD when I first noticed The Mirror was missing quite a while ago. They came to my apartment and everything, they were very nice.
Clémentine: Now, one more thing before we get to the like... juiiiiicy part. Would you say that doll he used- was a voodoo doll, or something like it? Or do you not believe in such practices?
Teresa: I know I felt extreme discomfort during that meeting, a headache that would not abate, shortness of breath and... well, I believe he was responsible for it- but one can not prove such things.
Clémentine: As for Carlisle’s recent resignation letter, what is your public statement? Your response.
Teresa: I’d say... prior to my club’s precious members voting for me to replace my predecessor, I promised that nobody has more real desire to do good than I do. This has not changed, and it never will.
Clémentine: Any closing remarks?
Teresa: If- I’ve... disappointed anyone for not being brave enough, or speaking up about my issues quickly enough- I’m, I’m sorry.
[!] Teresa reached for her sleeve and began wiping away fresh tears.
Clémentine: Thank you for these words, Teresa. They’ll make like... a big difference, I’m sure.
[!] The tape ended.
You heard it right there, whether you believe it or not. Agree or disagree, it is clear that many of these things did appear to be quite true, as she had no apparent say in many of Carlisle’s on-the-spot decisions and her reactions to his doll seemed quite realistic.
And we can all agree that blindfold came off on its own... something’s off.
Even if nobody’s hands end out clean... I believe it’s clear that there’s more to Fox than just “the victim”.
What do I think? I’ll tell you. I’ll tell you a lot. Don’t let it affect your views, though! Or do.

Clémentime with Clémentine (Conclusion)
My theories? Wow! Thanks for asking, girl.
I believe a few things, so I will address my theories in a few parts (related to sections).
.01 Strange Movements
Remember those weird movements on the carpet I mentioned? We all saw them (many pretended not to). It is not usual for carpets to move on their own, bee tee dubs. Consistently, strange things happened through the meeting (disregarding the whole doll and politics).
Teresa’s blindfold fell off on its own, practically lifted by an invisible hand.
It was as though... there were a spirit with us... another entity, if you will. Now, I don’t know the spirits very well, but perhaps you can catch my drift. Make the connections yourself.
.02 The Doll
Is The Doll real? Is it not? It’s the frickin’ Occult Club, people. Is this too absurd for you? I believe it when I see it.
Teresa’s idea or not (I personally would like to believe otherwise for my peace of mind), it seemed real to me. Afterall, didn’t many say Carlisle knew how to make these things?
Teresa herself claimed a few things:[/FONT]
- Headache (worm in the ear, pins in the head).
- Shortness of breath (holding the doll’s head).
- Discomfort (any messing or toying with the doll).
The Mirror, as some claimed, carried many hallmarks of true paranormal activity. Perhaps it’s cursed, but I suspect much more sinister happenings.
Afterall, mirrors are infamously connected to the spiritual. Perhaps the reason Carlisle wants it, and or Teresa is so enthralled in it is what they see inside... is that it can allow them to communicate with a spirit? Is there something in there that draws Carlisle’s attention, mesmerizes Teresa, and gives the rest of us bad vibes?
I have good guesses on which spirits might be connected to that thing. See the claw marks.. I believe that these things are all connected somehow- The Mania, The Mirror, The Motions - and even my last report.
.04 Keating’s Visits
The aforementioned trips to the grim site of KHSCC by Teresa Keating had not ceased as of the last time I checked. How curious.
As I could not find information from the room itself, and she would not tell me why, I sought other answers. I asked around, and I found out exactly who has been so brazenly forcing her in.
Dear SLT, strike me down if you must, 100 days of detention if you so desire, but please don’t remove me from my post for mentioning allegations, rumours, and truths (as that is the duty of a Journalist, and my reports are admittedly well-written and an asset to this club).
Multiple, wondrous students have alleged that the strongest candidate for this group of students are not occult enthusiasts, nor juvenile delinquents, but a cult. The Order of the Broken Seal, or so it’s called. What do they want? Destruction and chaos, by summoning ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. To not unnecessarily offend, I won’t be making snide comments on the former part of this mission statement (kind of edgy, not going to lie).
Is it true? I don’t know. Do I believe there are members of a death cult going to school with us in the morning? I don’t want to, but this town has only gotten more decrepit and horrific each day. What would they want with Room 312 and Teresa? I’m not sure. Perhaps her position could be of value to someone, and so could the folklore of that horrible place.
I know one thing, and one thing only:
.04 The Truth about Teresa Keating
▇▇▇ ▇▇ ▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇ ▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.
The whole of the section had been blotted out, replaced with a scribbled on note.
“Draw your own verdict. Mine will remain my own.”
.05 What’s to Come?
I fear this report may just be the Part 1 of some cosmic joke from the most evil gods of fate. I’m sure this can only go wrong or downhill, unless someone sees this and says: “I’m going to make a change!” Which I know isn’t going to happen (Karakurans have a history of not being proactive, it seems).
If I could guess, tensions will boil over, sides will be picked, and there will be some violent civil war that ends with a shattered mirror, someone missing, and a new leader / new roster of club members.
If that doesn’t happen, maybe everything ends well, we resolve everything, and everyone explains themselves! Eh? Let’s do that, guys! (Unless you want me to have more to report on, that is).
Thank you, dear viewer, for reading. Stay safe and, for now, stay away from that club. Call this a PSA.
