COOKING EXPANSION​

Our cooking system will be getting an overall re-vamp & update to consist of far more recipes, food items you're able to create & tools you're able to create them with.​

PHONES UPDATE​

Phones will be updated & overall repaired to allow for all applications to work & add a few new ones, including the in-game integration of ONRAIN, Karakura's Popular social media website.​

LANGUAGE CALL​

Players will be able to call one another in their applied for & granted languages. Allowing for private conversations away from those who don't understand the language itself. For more information & to view the player suggestion itself CLICK HERE.​

HOUSING

A system for housing similar to /apartment is scheduled to be created for the new map.​

POLICE CRUISERS

Police are currently restricted to only on-foot travel. This week a brand new Police Cruiser is to be added & configured for the police to use in-game for IC purposes.

CHEF IN CAFETERIA

An NPC Chef will be placed into the cafeteria for players to enjoy a meal at lunch & breaktime.

GROUP LEADERS

Club / Group leaders have now been given in-game tags to represent themselves amongst their peers & future possible club members.

CARRY

/carry has been disabled within the school to prevent glitching through classroom doors, etc.

CHARACTER AUTHORISATION

Mental illnesses & physical illnesses do not now need to be applied for. This grew gradually to be near enough impossible to moderate as constantly monitoring 200+ individuals' role play & if they're permitted to role play a certain way by then checking their application & having them provide it just became increasingly more & more difficult.
​

APARTMENTS

Any and all APARTMENT issues should now be resolved, if 1-2 were missed please refer to the reporting thread within the support section. Any left-over apartment issues there have also just not been verified & deleted.
​

ANIMAL RANKS

All animal whitelist ranks can now be given out by staff, as opposed to only a handful beforehand.

VENDING MACHINES

Glitch where players were able to open vending machine in random locations around the map unintentionally now fixed.

HEADS

Copying heads had slight bugs, should be fixed by next restart.
​

CUSTOM ITEMS

Custom Item addition timings have been set back to their usual state. Custom Items & Vehicles will now be added every single Saturday.

PE & BEDROCK SUPPORT

Minecraft's Bedrock & Pocket Edition support is now operational & usable. Bare in mind there are a fair amount of bugs however these are all being worked on overtime.

COSMETICS UPDATE

A fairly moderate update to the GUI for Cosmetics & the application & using process. Moving it finally, out of the awkward 3rd slot. This slot will soon be updated with a new settings menu allowing for you to view a 3D Map of Karkaura, interact with guides, a wardrobe feature to save & switch out from your skins WITHOUT having to log off / on & much more!

TUTORIAL

The tutorial has been entirely re-vamped & made smaller, more compact & efficient.

STARTER MONEY

Any issues in regards to certain players not getting the starter money they require have now been resolved.
​

RESOURCE PACK

Over 200+ completely un-used models have been removed from the game, making the loading in process quicker & overall improving performance. This is scheduled to take effect next restart.

BOBCAT PLUSHIE

Bobcat merchandise is now available at the school entrance, represent not only your mascot but show off your support to any & all students.​

DRUNK

A few minor rule changes have been made to individuals who utilize our drunk system. When drunk now actions taken towards you are honoured. By drunk, we refer to you being at the point of being unable to walk, speak, etc.​

JOURNALIST

Meet the journalist. The brand new role open to any & all students accompanied by it's very own in-game tag. This is a position replacing the previous news faction, as now instead being centred within the school itself & ran by it's very own students, all the way from high school to the college.

For more information on this refer to the character applications section for the 'Journalist' or alternatively contact the faction lead, OPH.​

VICE DEAN

A brand new VICE DEAN position has been opened up amongst the school's SLT. Allowing for the monitoring of it's professors & overall students to expand & to also allow for the College itself to run far, far smoother.​

PHONES

The ability to recognize & view who exactly is calling you is now implemented, simply hover over your phone message for more information!

APARTMENTS

Brand new bug fixes, alongside improvements have been made, alongside the addition of the /apartment disown command for apartments you simply no longer wish to own.

Alongside this staff are now able to disown apartments forcefully with a new command dependant on if the previous owner is for example banned or not. This does not include short-term bans however applies to long-term or even permanent ones.

Apartments are now also to by default have AUTO-RENEWAL disabled.​

STORE

SchoolRP's store section has been cleaned up a fair amount also, allowing for it to look far less cluttered.

TRASH CANS

Trash cans are now fully functional as they were before, disposing of un-needed items, weaponry or even equipment can be done by simply right-clicking one of them.

WEAPON ADDITIONS

The Karakura Black Market has been equipped with a fairly larger arsenal. Including the spiked bat, reaper, cleaver, hunting dagger & more.

This is not it however, custom items that are un-used & completely abandoned by their owners may overtime become public Black Market weaponry for all to utilise.​

JAPANESE SIGN LANGUAGE / JSL

Has been added to the game however requires minor configuration before it can be released to the public. Feel free to apply for it now however.​

RULES

Our rules have been slightly adjusted within the Combat Roleplay section, be sure to pay them a visit just to ensure you aren't confused about anything. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION

Alongside this for custom items a rule has been added.

Custom Items or Vehicles purchased & left completely un-used or are abandoned by the purchaser beyond the time frame of 6 months, are able to be used publicly. Unless traded to another player in the meantime or designated to a store.​

BASKETBALL

A basketball court & both stadium which will be used for event purposes have been established. The court can be found just beside spawn at the previous empty park.​

COUNCILLOR RANKS

Councillor ranks are now available for the Grades 10, 11 & 12.​

CCTV

The amount of CCTV cameras around the city have been reduced. Allowing for crime to be a little more frequent & open to the public eye.​

FIELD TRIPS

Teachers & Professors are now encouraged more than ever to plan & carry out class field trips, across the school, town or any other locations that are required.

Allowing for a far more interactive & practical way to engage in learning.​

POLICE OFFICERS

Police Officer maintaining has been changed into a method of more quality over quantity, this means that there are to be fewer officers, however the officers that remain are to be the best they possibly can be when it comes to understanding situations, roleplay, skill & more.

For example, the current amount of officers is roughly 40 this is to drop to 20 by the following week depending on their performance.​

APARTMENT

A brand new Apartment Complex has been situated within Karakura City just beside the Karakura Police Station. Whilst construction work continues on the building's interior it's only a matter of time before residents are able to purchase apartments & homes within this fine establishment.​

TUNNEL

The tunnel has been revamped to accommodate to the maps current modern state. Plans for expanding this tunnel into a outer part of the map, e.g a Country Side have been thought of however a date & time when this would take place is not currently set in stone.​

GANGS

Verified Gangs have been abolished, the same goes for registered speakeasies.

This means any & all gangs have the same freedom as before, with member count, black market access & even the ability to claim speakeasies for themselves however not through the current manner with a hologram stating it's theirs.

Gangs are now to mark territory in-game through roleplay. This is not something that will be supported through OOC means anymore - In order to encourage more roleplay to show off your power & authority as a criminal organisation.​

SPORTS GUIDE


FISHERMAN

George The Fisherman has established himself nearby the entrance to the beach itself, now selling & buying all sorts of water / wild life related items. Alongside this a unique trophy & accessories.​

MESSAGE FROM KARAKURA ACADEMICS​

While on a sports team, owning a weapon and then using it in order to harm or defend yourself in a role-play situation is permitted.The only restrictions on this is you cannot fully join a gang and take part in the activities. In a scenario where you are to be caught by the police or reported to the school leadership team, the punishment will be taken ICly and can get you kicked off, expelled, or suspended; depending on the circumstances. No exceptions can be made for this rule, meaning, if you’re a captain and you have caught your team member in a gang, you must remove them or your spot as captain will be at risk. When owning a weapon, make sure to check in with your own team captain as it’s their choice to allow it or not.​

VEHICLES

Bikes have been now open to purchase by the public. These are not the only vehicles scheduled to be released, yet only a few of many, ranging in price from ¥100,000 - ¥10,000,000.

The rest of the vehicles are scheduled to be introduced after testing with the current bikes has ended to discover any major bugs & flaws. Alongside this the addition of a fuel system is expected to be done at the same time as the vehicle release.

POLICE CCTV CHANGES

CCTV Cameras around the city have been reduced and Karakura is now a slightly more open ground for criminals.

If any further locations are spotted with excessive amounts of CCTV that is simply not required and dramatically restricts RP, staff will do their best to remove this & even the playing field between GangRP & CopRP. Thank you to our player feedback that helped us get this done.​

10 MINUTE RULE CHANGES

The previous un-written yet commonly known 15 minute rule has been altered to only last 10 minutes & is now to be clearly displayed within the rule book.

For those that aren't aware of what this is - When someone is attempting to kill your character, you are given 15 minutes to do your best to save said character and these 15 minutes are also given to emergency services to assist you wherever possible. Overall, it means you don't lose your character you've worked so hard to develop in a blink of an eye. Thank you to our player feedback that helped us get this done.​

OOC AGREEMENTS & CONTRACTS

OOC Agreements & Contracts are now no longer permitted. These have been found to restrict & reduce roleplay dramatically and also disallow interesting scenarios for example betrayals within gangs, organisations and families to even take place.

Due to this, any OOC Agreements & Contracts set by families, gangs, organisations, etc. Will be ineffective & null by the 4th of January, 2021. Till then you are given the opportunity to sort anything out you may need to.

POLICE GUN CHANGES

Guns have been given set rules to even the playing field between GangRP & CopRP even more. You can find these rules listed below. We however have no intentions of removing guns entirely.

30. GLOCK GUIDELINES

Glock 17's will have 8 bullets in each magazine, and each officer with a glock 17 will always only have one magazine on them which is in their gun, meaning if they use all 8 bullets they ran out. To get more you must head back to the station, go to the lockup room and if you don't have access to enter, simply stand by the door and do an action to grab another round. However, on raids, every officer with a glock is authorised to carry two rounds and no more.

Glock 17's will never be used to shoot on sight. Shoot on sight will no longer be a thing and every single situation will now need to involve some sort of roleplay in attempt to talk the culprit out of whatever they're doing. You may only use your gun to KILL if somebody is attacking a person(s), or is about to attack another person(s). You may use your gun to stop a culprit if they're openly carrying a weapon, or any other situation in which deems it suitable to use your gun to injure, not kill.

Glock 17's now require an action before you shoot, to actually shoot. For example, /me he would unholster his gun, firing three bullets towards the masked male - And once this action is sent you can shoot the gun itself

GENERAL UPDATES

FACTION DISCORDS

The Karakura Hospital & Karakura Police Department Faction have been merged together into one. Alongside this the Karakura Black Market Discord, now referred to as "Karakura Crime" - Has been turned into a hub for all things illegal related on the server, turning it into a faction of it's own with staff moderation & support.​

RULES

30. Normal citizens are NOT permitted to deal/out-source Black Market weaponry. This can result in a Black Market having kill requirements on your character.
22. You are not allowed to change outfits or log off during a manhunt.

The rules listed above alongside various other 'duplicate' rules, meaning rules that were indirectly stated twice have been removed. The rules below however have only been edited.

20. Upon committing a crime or being manhunted. You must remain online for a 45 minutes minimum without interruption.
10b. Citizens & Gangs - Citizens and Gang Members must fear certain scenarios where a weapon is involved for example or a gang turf / conflict. This also includes if you are out-numbered by gang members (e.g 4 Members v 1 Player).​

SETTINGS

The previously known bugs with settings, such as being able to move the star into your offhand & duplicate it, alongside the ability to throw items into it's GUI space & lose them have been fixed.​

WEAPONS

A updated version of the Weapon Profiles has now been created, for more information refer to the Roleplay Documents category of our forums.​

VEHICLES

The bugs in regards to some vehicles being extremely speedy compared to others have been identified & have now been resolved. If you discover anymore please inform a member of staff.

AFK

The AFK message has been adjusted to look more aesthetically pleasing, alongside this the AFK KICK TIMER has been raised to 30 minutes instead of the previous 25 minutes. The message however will still appear at the 25 minute mark, allowing you some time to move around.​

ECONOMY

Payments for certain roles such as Teachers & Professors have been BUFFED - Since they were at some point the lowest paid role on the server despite being the most important. Teaching is now the 3RD HIGHEST paying role on the server, the other two above being SHOPKEEPING & BLACK MARKET DEALING.

Alongside this fairly hefty TAXES have been implemented for both Officers, Dealers & Shopkeepers. Providing a way to somewhat even out the playing field when it comes to their payments & also to funnel money out of the economy, with this the addition of vehicles is expected to further reduce the amount of money floating around.

Allowances have also been capped to ¥1,000 at roles such as Grade 12 & College. Reducing the amount of money pumped in on an hourly basis.​

PHONES

Brand new Flip Phone models have been added into the game, further increasing the variety amongst the black, gray & white. Smart Phones & the overall phone system update has not been forgotten about however, yet is scheduled for release at a later date

TAB

The promised tab system & layout has now gone live, organizing the previous mess of a tab into a neat & useful bit of information for all across the server. Minor adjustments still are being made however, such as moving the headers to the middle & fixing the order Highschool Students are displayed.

SCHOOL UPDATES

SCHOOL CLASSES & TRIPS

School Classes have been encouraged to become far more interactive & practical as opposed to just simply being typing. Professors & Teachers have also now been given an additional quota to achieve, which lists that a SINGLE field trip must be performed a month from each member of staff in teaching departments.​

SCHOOL GRADUATIONS

The tradition of a graduation ceremony has been brought back, due to this College Applications are to be closed, unless required to be open due to a severe lack of College Students or any other possible reason.​

SCHOOL EXAMINATIONS & PROGRESSION

College Students have been given a method of progression. Moving through degrees such as BACHELORS, MASTERS to PHD. Similarly to how you'd go from Grade 7, to Grade 12. Highschool Students have been given something similar also, as they can now progress from Grade 12 to a College Student.

SCHOOL EMPLOYEES

The NPC Chef within the School Cafeteria has been removed, instead making way for the role to be applied for & managed by a player, increasing RP in that aspect of things as the process is no longer automated.

Alongside this, many other employee roles on the server have either been merged into one due to them sharing similar responsibilities or removed entirely to make way for others.​

SCHOOL PROFESSORS & TEACHERS

The College Professors now share a ranking system, similarly to the Highschool Teachers.

Alongside this the pay for Professors & Teachers has been increased to a maximum of ¥500,000 (including bonuses). The most valuable role on the server, should have a paycheck to meet its expected standard of work.​

SCHOOL UNIFORMS

Brand new Uniforms for both the Highschool & College have been created & posted for public use. You can find these within the Karakura Academic Discord & images below.

GANG UPDATES

GANG TURF, HOSTAGES, REWARDS & POLITICS

Gang Turf overall has been introduced back into the server, however in a method that’s to increase roleplay instead of simply PVP like behaviour. Previous methods of capturing turf such as KING OF THE HILL have been scrapped.

Alongside this systems of strategic hostage taking for advantages during conflict & also gang management from Black Market dealers have been put into place. The Black Market is now classed as it’s own entity almost. You can be with it, or against it.

Your choice has a large impact on how your gang roleplay will play out. Brand new methods of capture & management can be found within the Karakura Crime Discord (formerly known as the Black Market).

SPRAY CANS

Spray Cans are now available for purchase at the Black Market & General Shops, allowing for you to mark your territory or simply vandalise certain locations with staff approval.​

POLICE UPDATES

POLICE CCTV & MANHUNTS

CCTV has been reduced around the map further, allowing for individuals on the other side of the law & also individuals who commit crimes to navigate the city in a much fairer way. In return, Police Officers have been given body cameras, to compensate for the loss in this section of surveillance.

Alongside this the police manhunt time limit has been reduced to 45 minutes.
