What are your current roles on the server?:
Kaida Yukitomo [12th Grade]
Meleys [Cat]
Chérie D’aureville [12th Grade] -> The character I am applying with! She is new and not played yet. Specifically for this :)
Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
How can they not be? The server is quite literally called "SchoolRp", what is a school without any teachers? Teachers are a vital part of such an environment - reliable adult characters that try to improve the city with education, be it Physical or Scientific. Any knowledge is essential knowledge. Especially, when the Roleplay is often focussed on a lot of troubled high schoolers, having a space where people can take a breath, calm down and study is a necessity. Teachers are the people to raise the next generation, be in "in character" when students seek help from questions on the subjects to their troubles in life. Or even "out of character" when newer players need help to feel more accepted and seen. The teachers are often the first proper interactions that people will have and it is crucial to make the first impressions say - this is a safe place and we are here to have fun and respectful Roleplay! To welcome all and any into the community.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?: Yes
Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?: Yes
In-Character Section
What's your character's full name?: Chérie D’aureville
What is your character's nationality?: French
What is your preferred subject to teach?: English
Describe your character:
‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾ Throwing her French phrases left and right for encouragement as she preaches success despite all that life might throw at one. ☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙
A confident woman that carries herself with complete grace and pop in her step. Though she has her difficulties, the lady truly does not seize to amaze the people around her, as she just cannot stop being a ray of golden sunshine to all of those that surround the queen. The woman is vocal about her opinions and can be strict if need be, though solely because she honestly wishes for everyone to succeed in their endeavors. Our .°˖✧ Chérie might have a very thick french accent and at times forget her words in Japanese, but the spirit is what is so enticing about her. For whatever she sees herself lacking in, her main goal becomes - improve! Never stay still, flow like a river. Or how she'd say "Battre le fer pendant qu'il est chaud" also known as "Hit the iron while it's still hot!" For when you've got a good momentum going, you should not stop, but continue to do whatever you're doing.
⊹ ࣪ ˖ ꒰ঌ ♡ Chérie D’aureville is a twenty eight year old black woman from France, Toulouse. She is rather grand standing at 6'4 ft (unless her height application is accepted, in which case she would be 7ft). She is lanky and very athletic, though horrible at anything relating to Physical Education. The darling's deep violet eyes glimmer with pure jovial softness no matter the storm. She has light, white hair flow down to the bottom of her back, long and curly. She always has a clean yet messy feel to her, clearly taking great care of her appearances, however, not stopping herself with it to be a wild spirit and get down to work. ໒꒱ ⊹ ࣪ ˖
ੈ♡₊˚•. Click clack her heels dance, as despite her already very visible height, the woman stands out with her Je Ne Said Quoi approach to even her outfits. Her favorite color is Yellow of any shade and none needs to be a genius to see it. She always make sure to have her outfits have a Pop to them! Her favorite outfit to wear is this bright Safron and Canary yellow matching top and bottom fit. A bright crop top with long sleeves, her shoulders exposed, with long flowy, loose pants. She always makes sure to wear earrings, necklaces and head decorations and accessories, this creative coquet madam using herself as a canvas for creative exploration. ˚˖°.⊹ ࣪ ˖
❀˖°.✦ ݁ ˖ Plans for the future? Well, I am glad you asked! She allows herself to dreams like there is no tomorrow! Reach for the stars, you might just be tall enough. She came to Karakura to start a new life, with the spice of her past. She wants to bring positive, fun change into the city, with her own perspectives and visions of the world. Teaching is something that she is definitely in love with the idea of, wanting to make a beautiful and vibrant environment for students of any kind. She does not believe in punishing children and would want to only use positive reinforcement to hopefully get people to go to class and work! As for after, she is a social media influencer and would love to one day open up a restaurant/cafe. . . Specifically with dress-up and themes! Wanting to make it a refreshing and glamorous experience to any age and all!
What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
⋆₊˚⊹♡ What is there not to love? The girl enjoys meeting new people and always finds that communication is key to success of any kind. She is a wonder seeker and one of her most delightful dreams is to listen to other people and make sure they succeed in whatever they want to do. What is more amazing than seeing someone work hard only to reach their destination? Only to realise, there is so much more to go on for! ♡⊹˚₊⋆
⋆˚✿˖° For Students! She loves and adores them. They might be often troubled, but she does not see it as the end of their futures, but more as a stepping stone for them to grow. Though she might sometimes be too much caught up in her own idealism, she truly does hold the belief that people are capable of growth no matter the troubles. So whenever students are doing great, she encourages them, whenever a student is doing poorly, she only works twice as hard to attempt and bring them out of the rut. Light that little way ahead. °˖✿˚⋆
ʚ₊˚✧ ゚As for her co-workers - she is fully in belief that she has a lot to learn from them as a first-time teacher. The girl does not have experience and knows that she can sometimes bite off more than she can chew. So she respects her co-workers and wants to learn as much as possible from those more experienced than her. However, even if they have little to no experience, she finds that perspectives on different matters are crucial for growth and development. Both the veterans of the profession or the new blossoms as herself, she respects all and wishes to improve on herself and the school together as a team. Why do a solo when you can sing with the choir. ゚✧˚₊ ʚ
What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
˗ˏˋ ★ ˊˎ˗
Teaching? Anything? Her main motivation is always - Growth. She wants to see people succeed, move forward and advance to anything that they want. In whatever way she can help - she will. She wants to see the A+ students reach for beyond the horizon, the same as the thugs and hooligans, never addressing them as such. For every kid has a playground, to make mistakes and to fix them in, learn from them and work towards a better future. First lesson - learn to live in the present moment, for that's the last time you will be in it! Her motivation truly is to help students and help raise the next generation, even if it comes with trials and tribulations. As for another reason, she simply wants to find her way in the city too. The lady is new and, though she is confident, she cannot deny her fears of being a newcomer. Needing to learn of a new lifestyle, meet new people and realise that she has so much more to understand. Knowing full well, that just like the children and students, she has yet to fully spread her wings too.

Roleplay Scenarios
A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
‧₊˚ She would always finish up with whatever lecture she is giving, be it assigning a task or talking about the contents of literature history and language's development. The lady would finish her work with the rest of the class and then approach the students individually to make sure that everyone is feeling safe and sound with the work that has been assigned. If there is a student in class that is struggling to understand some little parts of the content, she would explain it on the spot. If it was something bigger and wider, she would make sure to give suggestions on literature the student could read and offer extra help study sessions for further explanation and aid! Whatever they'd need. Audio samples, additional notes, extra work. She would make sure to encourage them to the best of her capabilities as everyone can struggle sometimes. Comme Ci, comme Ça! It so-so! Everyone can feel that way, main thing is to focus on motivating the students to do better. There is no mountain too high to climb. ⋅˚₊‧
A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
°˖➴ ݁Depends on the severity of it! There are certainly times when people are being. . . trolls. However! If it s a proper roleplay situation in which the character is being "disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates" then she would observe the situation! What is the cause of this? If it is them just wanting to make jokes and be troublemakers, she would attempt to reason with them first. Talk and explain how it can be harmful to such an environment. If they continued to not listen, sorry, detention you go! Nevertheless, she would make sure to always remind them that they are welcome back to her class as she believes they have a space there if they need it. If the reason turns out to be a bit more significant, such as emotionless destress or health concerns, or perhaps not having a healthy way for their emotional outlets, she would do the same - trying to guide them into a better way and make the classroom their second home where they can - Breathe in. Breathe out. Calm down and maybe find a new passion in creative writing. She believes that every student, every kid and every adult has a reason to be a troublemaker. It does not just happen. ݁₊ ⊹ . ݁˖ . ݁
Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
I have quite the list already of ideas that I find could be very fun for an English Class! All of which are either more educational in English Language and Literature (HL IB) or focussing on Creative Writing and storytelling in different mediums! So! I will list some of my ideas, but I will not reveal them all for the aspect of
☆⁺˚* suspense and surprise! ⁺˚*☆
Her main purpose is to try and teach a lot of variety within the classroom! The English language, though she has her critiques, is very important and can be used in so many ways to improve on a person's ability to read, speak, write and understand.
⁺˚⋆。°✩₊ IDEA 1: Story writing! Though she has many ideas of how to make the activity more creative and challenging, one of her games is The Seventeen Words. She would tell everyone to get into pairs of 2 (or 3 if there is an uneven number of students) and go around giving all of them Seventeen Absurdly Random words. Then in those groups, they would have to come up with a story and write it! At the end they all submit their stories for revision! The work would be both creative, but very challenging, unless you let your crazy imagination run wild. Which she would support! Not only are you limited to very random words which you somehow have to include into a tale, but you have to also collaborate in a team effort to make sure both you and your partner can combine those endless worlds of your mind into one, cohesive tale.
౨ৎ ˖°.⋆ IDEA 2: Journalism! It is a less of a creative medium, if you. . . let yourself believe that! Chérie is very invested in social media, politics, actualities and changes! Everything from new social media outlets to the newest and hottest drama! She is up to the task to spill the tea and sip on it if she may. She believes that journalism is one of the more important mediums in writing that everyone should learn how to work with. Even if a person is not interested in journalism, you need to learn how to be careful with answering questions and how to formulate your words. This would be a three class experience where people would start by learning a bit of the history regarding journalism and it would lead to writing their own interview questions, to them exiting the class and actually interviewing people around the school on various topics! It would not only help people with realising how the journalism industry works, but also allow them to practice speaking publicly, asking questions, being respectful of other people and learn active listening! As well as, writing and exploration of story sharing.
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔ There would also be available tasks for extra credit or work if people wish to improve even more on their skills in various aspects of - english language, literature, creative writing, poetry, reading and exploration of vocabulary, public speaking or even scriptwriting. The field is large, just pick you point to start at and play! Of course, the students, for good work, participation and/or growth, would also be rewarded with stickers! As it is important to make sure they know that their work is appreciated and seen.
