Information:

The Rakkiyatsu, also known as ‘The Lucky Kats’ is a group that originally started as street racers in the Kyoto Region taking on many different racing challenges, mostly consisting of ‘Touge Racing’ which translates to Pass as in mountain passes. The cars than either race up the pass or down the pass, racing at super high speeds showing off their cars and skills to the onlookers that came out to watch the races.

With the street racing scene getting more and more violent in Kyoto, the group evolved past just any other racing team and joined the rankings of the street gangs around the area, due to their size, the gang quickly started to dominate in not just racing but ruling over the streets as well.

There's no such thing as bad press, right? Well not really, due to their name spreading around some bigger fish came to bite at the bait. After an altercation Ryota, the new lead ended up in Karakura where ‘Rakkiyatsu’ hopes to strive.

SUMMARIZED LORE:

Rakkiyatsu is in its second generation, formally led by Kenji, the mantle now being passed to and held by Ryota Miyasaki, Kenji’s little brother. The first generation was known throughout the Kyoto Area for two very different reasons, being a dangerous street gang that you shouldn't mess with, and a group of incredible street racers that very rarely lost.

Following in the footsteps of his older brother wanting to be even greater than his brother Ryota is continuing Rakkiyatsu and taking it onto its 2nd generation, however, why have they left Kyoto? And what now makes them take residence in karakura? That's a story for another day.

Think you got what it takes to take on the streets not just by winning street races but by standing atop all others and putting them in their place? Well, Rakkiyatsu sounds like a perfect fit.

FULL LORE:

In the street racing community of Kyoto, a name was feared throughout the racing underworld. Poru Miyasaki was a young prodigy who changed what it meant to be a street racer. With his innovative drifting style and brilliant knowledge of the craft, he became famous for leaving all of his opponents in the dust. The Miyasaki name began to grow in the Street racing world. Yakuza and street gangs started to bet on him due to how popular he was, he practically resurrected the racing scene in Kyoto. Poru mostly worked in the mountains, where the game was most dangerous. He raced with his amazing drifting technique, though he personally didn’t like racing on the tracks as he found that to be bland and lack thrill.

Gangsters would bet large sums on him, some even bet against him for the day he did fall. . Although, that never seemed to happen. One day, a group of men who belonged to one of the many Kyoto street gangs asked Poru to forfeit and allow them to make a great deal of cash from the race. Poru obviously declined, his winning streak far too important to him to lose over some cash. During the race, an unmarked car drove out and tapped the back bumper of Poru’s car, but a lucky driver he was, he managed to avoid the crowd and the other racers. Unfortunately, however, he still spun out and smashed into the guard rail. Poru's neck was fatally broken from the impact, he was unfortunately proclaimed dead before the paramedics even arrived up the Mountain pass.

Unknown to most, Poru had a Korean lover and two sons; Ryota the youngest, and Kenji the older brother. Their mother, in the heat of the moment, scared for not just her own life but the lives of her children, sent Kenji and Ryota to a caravan park that was an hour or two outside of Kyoto’s main city. They lived with a distant cousin to hide from the Street gangs of Kyoto, just in case they were still after blood. As Kenji’s birthday drove up he was finally able to obtain his license and drive wherever he wanted. He had been driving since the young age of 11, seeing as he practiced in the early mornings and late nights without being caught. With his license, Kenji started to follow along the same path that his father had walked. Kenji started to do street races and races that were on the mountain passes. Ahiru Mountain pass was around a 23-minute drive from the trailer that both himself and Ryota were living in. He went here often to race locals, however, Kenji seemed to be a prodigy and have an amazing racing sense for being so young, mostly because of his love for cars and his younger days spent learning and practicing to drive and drift. Ryota also started to learn from Kenji at this point. nonetheless, unlike Kenji, he was good but had to work much harder for the same amount of skill. The skills didn't come easy to him.

Kenji, although he had always been a respectable young man, seemed to find himself getting into trouble at his school for fighting or for just generally not attending classes. Instead of going to class, he decided to spend time in a garage that was owned by one of his close friend’s families, meaning he was allowed to use this place as he saw fit. Kenji clearly loved to race and decided on making himself a team. It was just a small team that friends could join if they wished, the name that he chose was ‘The Lucky Kats’ or as it was known in Japanese ‘Rakkiyatsu’, this would later be known as the first generation of Rakkiyatsu.

With the forming of a new race team led by Kenji, it seemed to attract trouble. Kenji’s name started to spread around like wildfire in the racing community, much like his father's. The people that Kenji and Ryota were sent away from to hide had caught wind of where they were. With this came some small trouble, slowly growing as the weeks flew by, but ‘The Lucky Kats’ had become not only one of the fastest racing groups in the area, however, were also considered to be a fierce gang by some that were able to take on larger street gangs even with their smaller population.

During this time ‘Rakkiyatsu’ had gained such a reputation that they were able to remain untouched by those who seek to bring them harm. Ryota always looked up to his elder brother, first with racing, and now with his brother's newfound power. This, however, seemed to spark something in him- Ryota was by no means an evil person, but in spite of that, he yearned for the same street fear that his brother had accumulated. Not only this, he wanted to put his name out there. . to stop living in Kenji's shadow.

With this being said, it seems that Ryota had gone slightly off the rails and entered into the life of an average delinquent. As Ryota approached 18, Kenji had retired from ‘The Lucky Kats’. He only did solo races every now and then on the mountain passes, when he wasn't busy with his job. Kenji managed to pass school and become a fully qualified mechanic, along with his friend opened up their own garage. Ryota had been in the delinquent scene for a while now, he was known throughout the high schools in his area. Despite this, he still didn't have the level of fear that he was after; a mention of his brother's name made people back away and think twice. There was a clear difference between them, although not bad being with cars, whereas Kenji was something like an expert from the get-go, Ryota seemed to find violence as a much easier sport. He was strong but with good reflexes allowing for him to win fights against any of the kids, sometimes even people who would try to start something with him.

With Ryota getting his license, Kenji had also been working on a small surprise. . an old JDM car that he had been working on for some time. Ryota loved it as he finally had a car to call his own. However, the story seemed to be going too well for the Miyasaki family. Not long after, Kenji was jumped on his way into his garage, it was bad, he was rushed to the hospital where he had to get surgery for the damages. Kenji had two broken arms, a shattered knee, and blunt force trauma to the head, clearly done by a large group with steel pipes or bats.

A sort of rage seemed to ignite within Ryota, his brother Kenji was lying in a hospital bed hanging on for dear life because of some low lives. All Ryota could think about was how if he was there maybe he could have helped. While the regret was still fresh on his mind another thought had come to him which sparked the rage even further, if Kenji hadn’t given up his position and disbanded ‘Rakkiyatsu’, this would never have happened. No one in their right mind would try and face them.

With that thought, it was back. This time as the 2nd generation of ‘The Lucky Kats’, born under the leadership of Ryota Miyasaki. Firstly, he went for the ones that he could find that had any involvement with the attack upon Kenji, getting revenge on each and every person involved, one by one. With this, the new ‘Rakkiyatsu’ was starting to be brought into the light once more by Ryota, just as it was the first time around with Kenji leading the charge. The sudden rise in fame and power caused the name ‘Rakkiyatsu’ to spread around the region, even reaching the ears of people that the small gang probably wouldn’t want to face.

It started at one of the races, a racer who went by the name ‘Tariot’ from Rakkiyatsu was run off the road while going down the mountain pass, the car was wrecked and ‘Tariot’ was hospitalized. It was an unmarked black SUV, by the time anyone had made it down to examine the wreckage, the person behind the crash was long gone. Following this, the usual hang-out places that ‘The Lucky Kats’ were known to be were broken into and destroyed. Member’s started patrolling the street to find the enemy attacking them, and after a few attempts and fights, Ryota realized who the enemy was. The Yakuza that ruled over the section of Kyoto that they resided in had felt threatened with the sudden gain of members, territory, and power. They decided to take action against the group while it was still small and wouldn’t be as much of a bother to deal with.

Ryota, fueled with the motivation to grow and keep getting faster and stronger, did not run or hide from this challenge. He kept himself in the open, accepting any races that came his way not caring for anyone that was betting on or against him. As well as the races being rather street-born, great fighters, the yakuza's lackeys kept coming up unsuccessful. That made Ryota feel invincible and secure where he was, in his mind, he was The King, not only at racing but on the streets as well.

People say that you grow wiser with age, well this experience was going to be a rather big learning experience for Ryota. Full of himself, he went to a location where he had been “invited” to. The yakuza was waiting for him. Ryota thinking nothing big of it, ‘A few thugs? Pfft, I'll kick all their asses and send them packing’" was the attitude he took on.
As expected, when he got there, there were people waiting for him. Expecting to be jumped, Ryota was on guard, but what he found was no one dared touch him. Not while that mysterious man stood before him in the center of the abandoned warehouse where they decided to meet. The thugs seemed to make a circle around them both, Ryota and this mystery man were stuck in a ring created solely by yakuza thugs.

The fight lasted much longer than anyone would have expected, it was a fierce fight, although, it was clear to everyone watching that Ryota wasn't winning. He had gotten a few good hits in, however, it wasn't enough for him to win this fight. All Ryota could see is black. . before he suddenly awoke in a hospital, his brother slumbering in the chair beside him out of worry.

A few weeks had passed since the events and Ryota remained stuck in a recovery bed. This just showed how brutal the fight was and how badly Ryota had ended up, during this time though, Ryota had realized one major thing. This hospital he was in was not a regular hospital, in fact, he wasn't even in Kyoto anymore. He had been taken to a small town hospital that had space to keep him in recovery and treat his injuries properly.

Upon leaving the hospital he was given his items of personal belongings back which included a new never seen before letter that seemed to be from Kenji.

“Hey bro, coming back here so soon is probably not the best idea. I'll send you money every now and then so how about you make yourself feel at home over there in karakura? I'll miss having you around but it's just for now bro, love ya - Kenji”

And thus, Ryota has decided to bring his group of delinquent racers to Karakura. Will they be able to take this small town by storm, building the racing community brick by brick? Join our discord to find out, and even apply if you'd like to have your place in our group.

Just know that we will do our best to create a fun, lore-based, and eventful community to contribute to the school-gang side of SRP.

(By strict rp, we mean to roleplay your characters realistically, your characters do not have to be professional ICly. They're students after all.)
