Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:

Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?: Yes
In-Character Section
What's your character's full name?: Amelia Shiki
What is your character's nationality?: American
What is your preferred subject to teach?: Art
Describe your character:
Amelia Shiki is a 5'3 American female, she would have fair, light skin and cinnamon brown hair in loose curls, that she'd spend hours on every morning, would seem to reach her waist. She would usually be found wearing baggy jeans that seemed to have hand-sewn patches down the legs, she often also wore dark colored shirts with unique designs on them! She had a gentle expression on her face, her hazel eyes seeming almost glassed-over, as if they had seen it all. Her demeanor towards others is quiet, her right hand always seemed to tremble slightly. She carried herself with ease, her gestures and movements almost like a river, flowy and powerful.
Her sketchbook would always be near her, in a purse or bag for easy access. When she was younger, she'd often hide within books or art, trying to drown out the sounds of her parents and older sister, Zoey, arguing behind the wall that separated the rooms.
She moved to Karakura Japan to learn more about her passion and hopefully teach the other young children around her what she knows! Amelia hopes to help her peers to express their emotions and passion in art more freely.
What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
Outlook on students: Amelia sees her students almost as her siblings, young individuals who may need a little feedback sometimes, but she treats them like responsible adults, she has expectations for them to behave and act mature.
Outlook on co-workers: Her co-workers are seen as friends, to be met with respect and a warm smile. She makes sure to remain mostly professional around them, telling a small joke every now and then.
What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
Amelia loves art, she always has, ever since she was younger, all she's wanted to do was share the experience and creativity of the subject!
Roleplay Scenarios
A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
It would come to Amelia's attention that one of her students was struggling to understand the material, she'd pause what she was talking about and calmly walk to the child's desk, she'd give a soft smile and whisper to the student, asking them if they'd like her assistance in the task. Once the student agreed, Amelia would offer the class a small activity to keep them busy, then she'd ask the child what part they weren't understanding. She'd nod, and re-explain the subject, making sure they were confident in the material before returning to teaching the rest of the class.
A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
Amelia excused herself from the front of the class, walking calmly towards the trouble-maker's desk, she'd request they quit being disrespectful to the rest of the class, her gaze being stern and commanding. She told them if it happened again she wouldn't be letting them remain in the class, as this was meant to be a learning environment.
Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
Natural art! This activity would include going outside, either to the roof or the courtyard, she'd bring a bucket of papers and some glue! The children would be asked to use their environment to make their art, using sticks, rocks, leaves, and dirt! They're required to incorporate nature into their masterpiece in some way. They are allowed to use glitter, glue, popsicle sticks, paper, and any natural objects they find to come up with something unique.
Portraits! This activity would include the students splitting into two groups, five or six statues and the rest of the class would be the artists! The 'statues' would be encouraged to strike a pose and hold it while the 'artists' are given paper and asked to sketch and draw a portrait of them! The students are allowed to use different art styles besides realism, they could create the portraits using popsicle sticks if they wanted to! (The students will be given a book and expected to detailrp a portrait in them!) This activity is to push the children out of their comfort zones to create a unique and original portrait! During the activity, Amelia would walk around the room, whispering tips and encouragement to the students, she would also tell the whole class interesting facts about the task, such as famous portraits and their artists.
