Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
Teachers are important to the dynamic of SchoolRP because of a multitude of reasons, but the main one would be immersion of the roleplay with the students. They create a very distinct environment to the SchoolRP scene, in and outside of the school, they make the school more interesting and unique, rather than just having the players act it out themselves, they are able to interact and fully immerse themselves with other players that have been designated with the role of teacher. On top of immersion, teachers add to the whole roleplay of the server with the main course of the player base being students, they give the school roleplay a more sense of liveliness in the environment then it would be without them there. The teachers help the students of the server also develop their skills and their overall view on life (icly of course) in the roleplay to guide them in the right direction, whether it be academics or personal things, the teachers are there to support the students as a whole and keep them in the right direction.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?:
Yes, I acknowledge the consequences of inactivity.

Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?:
Yes, I understand.

In-Character Section

What's your character's full name?:
Izawa Touya

What is your character's nationality?:
South Korean

What is your preferred subject to teach?:
History

Describe your character:
Izawa Touya, is a South Korean male, standing at 5'11 in height. Izawa carries himself with a sense of determination and empathy for those around him, he's capable of keeping his focus goal-oriented and making sure what needs to be done, gets done thoroughly. Dressing semi-professional/professional, he isn't much in favor for casual clothes but in his free time, of course, he dresses more casually. A dress shirt and dress pants would be seen on Izawa most of the time, with no creases or folds in his clothing ever, there was a sense or value of perfection that Izawa gave off constantly, in his look, gaze, and work ethic, he had never been tired of chasing that goal. This is what sets Izawa apart from others, of course though he knows perfection is an insane goal, he's always chasing after it. Each goal that he does accomplish in his life only makes him look at the next one, doing his best to better himself so that he may help those around him, especially the students of Karakura. While perfection seems impossible to achieve, he knows it's worth chasing if it means bettering the future of Karakura, that being the students, and leading them or setting them up on a path that guarantees success.

What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
Izawa doesn't have too well of a past with working with his peers in his childhood but as he grew and stepped into his late adolescent and early adulthood years, he had begun to figure that working with his peers or co-workers, is an essential and necessary thing that comes with any job or situation in life. His co-workers to him now are essential, of course he knows not everyone will be friends just because they work together, he understands the importance of having co-workers, knowing that they're there to help one another and better each other in the line of work and if they were to become friends, it would sort of deepen that bond they share as co-workers, building more trust and respect in the process. The students he sees as important to the setting of the school and would do his best in making sure they are in a safe and relaxing teaching space. Izawa would do his best to also keep the environment as friendly and light-hearted as possible so everyone can enjoy their time learning.

What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
Izawa grew to like the policing and history of the city when he had first moved here. This had further gone on to him studying things like the justice system and the history behind the justice system in Karakura. Of course, he hadn't achieved his dreams initially of taking part in this justice system, he still had an interest in history as a whole. After learning about the development of the policing system in Karakura, it made him want to expand his knowledge of the historical background to the city further, going between the shrines impact historically on the city and how the estates around the city had come about, he had begun to grow closer to this new passion of his that was slowly developing in his life. Where his motivation for teaching it came into play was when he had been explaining the historical impact and imprint of the shrine on Karakura and how these things had a positive reaction when they had come about, realizing in the moment that he didn't just have a passion for the justice system and trying to be a part of that justice system but a new found passion for teaching the history of Karakura and history in general because he was able to expand and explain the details of everything and not miss a beat to it, and who better to do this to use this new passion to help then the students of Karakura, who may also have an interest in history like he does.

Roleplay Scenarios

A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
Izawa would approach the student in a calm but stern manner. Though his mannerisms were stern, Izawa still offered the student a gentle smile to try and reassure him rather than stress him out. "Hey, if there's anything with the lesson that you might be struggling with, I can try and explain it a little better for you, or you could always see me after class too? You may find it easier with less distractions to understand the material." Tapping the desk twice, Izawa would walk off and return to the front of the room. He'd clear his throat and further explain the material a bit more detailed this time. Who knows, maybe someone else was also struggling with the material as well he thought to himself. "Be mindful as well students, that if you need help with any of this, you can ask me any questions during or after class." replacing the once focused and stern face with a gentler smile to hopefully reassure those who were struggling.

A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
Izawa would immediately turn his attention towards the student, clearing his throat before speaking. "Excuse me, I'd like for us to get through the lesson without any interruptions. This is your first warning, I ask that you focus on the topic at hand and not distract others." Izawa would return his focus on the lesson, speaking to the entire class until eventually he was hearing the student being disruptive once again. He'd shake his head and walk over to the student who was disrupting the class. "As I stated before, that was your first warning, so I'm telling you that you in particular are dismissed from my class. If you refuse to leave, I will be handing you a detention slip and if you still refuse to leave, I'll be contacting SLT about this behavior of yours." The student of course took the latter of the choices and decided to leave when told, avoiding any further punishment. Disciplining students isn't that easiest thing for Izawa, but he knows that without it, there wouldn't be any stability to the classes or school.

Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:

"My first Interactive idea is Historical Roles..."

I'd start off by giving the students a brief timeline or introduction of a timeline in history, in this instance it would be about the history of Samurai and some of the ceremonies they'd perform. After giving a very brief introduction of this history and how it was performed, I would ask the class to all stand up and come to the front. After this, I would assign them each a very unique role as there were very many people who would partake in these ceremonies, to be sure that everyone has a role/impact of the ceremony as well. Once everyone had a role, I would quickly explain the ceremony to them that were about to perform, in this case it would be the tea ceremony. This ceremony involves the preparation and serving of a matcha tea in a specific way so that it is not consumed in a rude manner. The students would all help in the preparation and partake in this interactive idea and once the preparation and serving is done they would then assemble themselves in the way of the samurai, recite a small prayer, and then drink the tea. Though this ceremony is short, it does involve a multitude of people and roles to help with the preparation and consuming of the tea, all while giving everyone a very unique and interactive way to learn/understand why this ceremony was important to the history of the Samurai. This would have each of the students understanding the role of each person that was involved in these ceremonies, keeping them engaged in the lesson fully.

"My second Interactive idea is King of The Hill..."

This would start off by me giving the class a quick rundown of a set of questions and the answers to those set of question. I'd then start asking a question out loud and then a student will be picked to answer the question. If the student gets the question wrong, then another student would be asked the same question but if a student gets it right, they would come up to the front and sit in the chair, hence the game name "King of The Hill". Once this person who had gotten the question right first, a different question will then be asked to whoever in the class, if they get it wrong, that same question will be asked to the next student but if they get it right, then the student that is sitting in the chair, otherwise known as the "King", will be asked a different question as well and if they get it right, they stay in the chair and the other student will have to sit back down but if that "King" gets it incorrect, then the previous student who had just gotten a question correct will be the new "King". Whoever is the "King" at the end of the class/questions asked is the winner and is given a reward, that being a sticker. This would more than likely have multiple rounds depending on how quickly the questions get answered.
