Describe your roleplay experience with SchoolRP and other roleplay networks in general: SchoolRP has been one hell of an experience, through the ups and downs. . . in-characterly anyway. I still love SRP though, don't get it twisted! <3

TRIVIA SECTION

What is your motivation for becoming a professor?:

Not only would I absolutely adore teaching astronomy, it also gives me a new way to want to roleplay -- teaching students, possibly even connecting with them in ways a proper professor should. Not only this, but regular StudentRP -- listening in on classes -- just feels boring in of itself. I want to be the one to make the fun lessons, I want to be the one who gives the knowledge of astronomy to everyone, I want to be the professor who everyone wants to actually join. I want to be the professor that. . . takes students stargazing? Not sure how that will work, but if there's a will, there's a way!

Work out two interactive classes you will host if accepted:

1. A class where the students inspect different stars and planets, as well as being able to find constellations & other objects in space.

2. Teach students about celestial events, such as eclipses and shooting stars, and the near impossibilities of a supernova occurring via an ItemRPed D20 toss and an ItemRPed Hologram of a supernova in the case a randomly selected number is rolled on said D20s.


Work out a field trip (meaning a class outside school grounds) you will host if accepted:

At night, if allowed, students will be given ItemRPed telescopes to view space from the beach, a mountain, the forest, or maybe even Karakura's Plaza. If not, do this process but in the daytime, and advise students not to look directly at the sun. (of course, one will, but it's their loss because I basically warned them not to)

SCENARIO SECTION

Your character would encounter a group of college jocks surrounding a bobcat jock, what would your character do?

Of course, as any other faculty member dealing with intimidation, Nova would do the rational option, walk up to the group, and ask them to leave the younger student alone. He would also try to tell them that whatever is happening with them, the 6 or 7 of them could work it out and not be so aggressive. If the group or one member declines, then Nova would threaten detention and demand them to walk away from the situation and not start an altercation. Last resort if they didn't walk away was to actually administer detention.

Your character would be supervising detention, one of the students constantly disturbs by asking stupid questions, what would your character do?
Nova would first tell the student to close their mouth and continue their assigned tasks. Of course, if the student stops talking, then Nova would not say anything at all, or maybe even a silent nod. If the student did not comply however, he would tell them to be silent again, and possibly warn SLT if he's not having a good day. If the student didn't comply one last time, he would request SLT to deal with the disturbance.

Your character would be hosting a class, and a group of cheerleaders keeps on playing songs on the phone and call out other students in the class, what would your character do?
Nova would first start off by telling the cheerleaders to be quiet, and put their phones on silent. If they comply, he will give them a silent nod and continue the lesson. If they do not comply, then Nova will tell them to act like true college students or they will be kicked out and possibly given detention. If they still don't comply, third strike and they're out. If they continue disturbing the class up into the next period (which is highly unlikely, considering they'd probably learn they're lesson soon enough,) then they would hand each and every one of them a detention ticket.

Your character would be walking on the school perimeter and encounter a fight between a couple of students, your character tried to break it up but it didn't help, what would your character do?
Nova would threaten detention to get them apart -- or SLT if they had already received detention --, then interview them on what happened. Since Nova isn't all for sending an innocent student to detention, he would request CCTV. If the student who got attacked turned out to be innocent, the actual perpetrator would get detention, and the student would most likely get sent to a nurse. If they're both guilty, then the two students that fought can go straight to detention.

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Nova Xolo is a Hispanic male with a height of 189cm/5'8. He never really smiles, but he's a fun person behind the mask of pure blankness! He has a light tone to his tan skin, and long brown hair accompanying it. He had golden eyes, shining bright like the starry skies, and. . . uncannily long nails. No, seriously, those things are like, at least an inch long. He did, however, smell of a luxurious floral garden!

Of course, the golden eyes immediately stand out to anyone who first meets him, but the purple flower planted in his hair also contrasts with that, a beautiful colour combination! His deadpan face is more of a cover-up for the goofy person hidden away, though he is a more lighthearted individual.

Nova's outlook on students is that he views them, though some of them are literally wild children, they're still human and trying to learn about the world like he once did. As for anyone else, he views them as regular human beings with secrets to hide. Just like him.

Nova is very jovial and factual. He doesn't mind if someone is conversating, but he won't be afraid to correct them -- rather anyone -- that states an incorrect fact. He's not really petty about it though unless he hasn't had his morning coffee.

Describe how your character ended up becoming a teacher and their previous life. It is optional to include earlier life but recommended.
Nova's first considered lesson was way back in 10th grade when he began teaching anthropology. He went to a school that focused on all kinds of cultures and practices, say an IB school. His peers acted as students. He'd done a massive amount of research on 10 cultures to present in the lesson, all done and formatted efficiently. Once his lesson was done, a feedback paper was handed out to all of the 'students' of the student-led lesson. All of the responses included very positive things such as "you should be a teacher someday, Nova!" He was unsure about having to deal with children ,given he felt like the only mature one in his class, but he felt like teaching astronomy, his greatest study by far. Now that he's graduated college, he's ready.
