OOC SECTION

What is your Minecraft username?:

SupSullen

Do you have any previous bans/warnings?:

I had one ban for ERP, however that was over 3 years ago and I have certainly learned my lesson from that experience. I now understand the rules of SRP fully and to the extent needed for this position in SRP.

What is your time zone?:

PST

What is your discord username and discriminator? (e.g. Tippie#6666):

Sullen#7561

Link all previous applications you made on the server:

None are listed because all the positions and other stuff I have applied for was a year or two ago and has been wiped from the website for some reason. However I have applied for 2 languages, JSL and Latin, and have been accepted. I have also been accepted as a teacher before, however I had to resign because of computer issues and I wasn't going to be active for a while.

Describe your activity on SchoolRP:

I am pretty active on SRP, I'd say at least 2 hours a day on normal weeks. On weekends I can easily play for 8 hours at a time. As well as since spring break is coming up for me, I will have plenty of time for SRP.

Describe your roleplay experience with SchoolRP and other roleplay networks in general:

I have been roleplaying for a very long time. My first experience with roleplaying was through discord. I always enjoyed roleplaying with people on there, even though I was newer to the aspect of roleplay. I learned and caught on very fast and it always would take up almost my entire day. However, eventually I was wanting something new and exciting to play and experiment with. Around that time as well I had gotten into Minecraft after a few years of forgetting it was a game. Then, I wondered if there was a server that did both Minecraft AND roleplay, and boom, that's how I found Roleplay Hub in 2020.

Those first few weeks on SRP were the best weeks of my roleplaying life! It satisfied my every need for everything I wanted out of roleplay. Friends, exciting RP scenarios, sensible rules to make everything fun and fair, etc. It was the best of both worlds of Minecraft and roleplay. For the first year of playing SRP, it was fun, however, I never developed any character, I had just a quickly made character that didn't have any real value to me. That's when I decided to make a character of my own that I could make a story for and correct every detail to my liking. After making my first character, Ryan, I got really into GangRP for a year or so. I ran with a few gangs and even ran a gang of my own for a while. I always would take people who were new to the game and coach them if they wanted to learn how to fight and roleplay in the game.

However, eventually Ryan was jailed for possession of weaponry, so I had to figure something else to do. That is when an old friend of mine decided to become a teacher for KHS, so I decided that I wanted to become one too! I was accepted as a chemistry teacher and was a teacher for quite a while. I loved teaching classes, and it was so fun to show people cool chemistry facts and tricks who even OOCly didn't know a lot about chemistry. Then a while after I had been hired as a teacher, my computer completely died on me and I had to take a break from SRP to save up money to buy a new one. Because of this, I resigned as a teacher and had to quit SRP for a while.

Then, a few months later, with a new computer and a new set of determination to find something interesting to do in SRP, I log back onto the server. I ended up getting back into the rhythm with GangRP. However, something wasn't the same. I wasn't getting the same feeling from GangRP that I had previously had. Then I had realized that I had the most fun on the server when I was a teacher! Teaching people new things about a subject was the best feeling I ever got from the server! So that is why I am here now. I joined SRP and have been playing for roughly 3 years, and I don't plan on stopping any time soon.

What are your current roles on SchoolRP:

[College][B]

What is the subject you want to teach?:

I would like to teach neuroscience.
Neuroscience can teach student all the wonders of what your brain can do and what it does regularly.
It also will dive into the world of Central Nervous Systems (CNS), Peripheral Nervous Systems (PNS), and even how neurons work and what makes your brain and nervous system function the way it does.

TRIVIA SECTION

What is your motivation for becoming a professor?:

One motivation for becoming a professor is that I have a chance to teach people about neuroscience and the great knowledge that comes from this subject. People will look in the mirror and never even realize what is going on inside their own bodies, let alone the thing that runs and maintains their entire body. The nervous system is a wonderous thing that performs miracles we can't even begin to comprehend, however we can always try and learn about it. In real life, I am a brain fanatic. I spent all of my high school days learning about it and I am still learning about it to this day! The brain is a wonderful thing to know about, and bringing my favorite subject to my favorite place to hang out is even better. It might even help someone else discover that neuroscience is their favorite science subject as well.

I feel that most people will enjoy my neuroscience class. Even if it is a fairly specific subject in the science realm, it is still very useful for people to know about their nervous system and how it works. And if they know how it works, they may be able to take care of their body better and know what is good for them and what isn't. Neuroscience isn't for everyone, but I can say with confidence that if I can teach and help someone understand the miracle that is our brain, I would be very satisfied, but with this opportunity, I can (hopefully) teach lots of people about their own nervous system and hopefully inspire others to continue research into neuroscience!

Another motivation for this position is that becoming a teacher of some sort in real life has always been a goal in my life. It explains why my previous position as a teacher at KHS was so enjoyable. Teaching someone anything and having them leave a bit more educated is a very worth while job in my opinion.

Work out two interactive classes you will host if accepted:

1. The Phineas Gage Recreation

Kenji would get up out of his chair once the class had begun and announce,
"Alright you guys, I don't feel like doing anything hard today so we will make the assignment today fun, so listen up"
Kenji would open up a book and begin reading the story of Phineas Gage, where a man was struck in the head with a metal rod, penetrating and going clear through his anterior lateral region of the skull, also damaging his frontal lobe of his cerebrum. The result of this injury was because of the brain damage to his frontal lobe, his personality had altered and was not nearly the same person as he was before. Then he would close the book
"Today, you will be writing a story similar to Phineas Gage's story where a person loses their personality due to some damage to the frontal lobe of their cerebrum. Be creative on the assignment, make me laugh, or cry, or feel something emotion wise. And make sure you sign your name at the bottom of the paper."
Kenji would then hand out papers and let the class write and collect the papers at the end of class to read.

2
. The Neuron Group Quiz

After passing out a study guide for the students to complete, Kenji would announce a group quiz.
"Alright everyone, today we have a group quiz. The right side of the room and the left side of the room will split into two groups and each group will get into a single file line. One person from each group will come up to my desk, and I will ask a question relating to something we have learned about in this unit. The first person to answer the question correctly earns a point for their group. The group with the most points at the end wins, good luck!"
The game would proceed and Kenji would keep track of the points throughout the game. Everyone would get full credit for participating, however the winning group would get a little extra credit.

Work out a field trip (meaning a class outside school grounds) you will host if accepted:

Kenji would bring his students to the forest out back around the school and have the students gather around into a circle.
"Alright guys, we are gonna test how well you know your brain and its functions. I'm gonna hand out some books and give all of you a scenario whenever we see an example out here of a brain being used and you have to write down what areas of the brain are being used for each scenario."
Kenji would hand out all the papers and have everyone hide somewhere. Kenji would point out a passing ****roach and have the students jot down what parts of the brain they thought it was using. Then Kenji would point out a passing ladybug and have the students do the same thing. There would be a few more insects he would point out before collecting all the books and heading back.

SCENARIO SECTION

Your character would encounter a group of college jocks surrounding a bobcat jock, what would your character do?

Firstly, initiating and getting the bobcat somewhere safe and making sure they are ok, as safety is the first priority. Then to deal with the college jocks. Kenji would say something to the degree of,
"You guys are in college, act like a grown adult. I will have you reported and put in detention if I see this kind of behavior again. Act your age, don't be immature."
If the situation continued to happen with the same students, Kenji would give them detention, and if it kept happening after that, then Kenji would report it directly to the higher ranks of faculty.

Your character would be supervising detention, one of the students constantly disturbs by asking stupid questions, what would your character do?

Kenji would try to calmly and respectfully answer the stupid questions the first couple times, however if they are repeatedly asking dumb questions, he would threaten further punishment if the student continued to disrupt the classroom. Kenji would say something similar to,
"If you have important or real questions, then ask, however please refrain form asking nonsense questions in here, as you are disrupting the others in here as well as me."

Your character would be hosting a class, and a group of cheerleaders keeps on playing songs on the phone and call out other students in the class, what would your character do?

Kenji would first walk up the the girls and get their attention before saying,
"Ladies, you are gonna have to put the phones away and keep quiet as there are student here to learn, and you should be paying attention as well."
If the girls continue to disrupt the class with music and/or calling out other students, Kenji would walk up to the girls again and say,
"Ladies, you all have detention after school now."
And if they STILL continue to do what they were doing, then Kenji would have them leave the classroom.

Your character would be walking on the school perimeter and encounter a fight between a couple of students, your character tried to break it up but it didn't help, what would your character do?

If Kenji could not break up the fight, he would find another faculty member to watch over the students and call the police while Kenji goes to find a higher ranked faculty member to inform them of the fight. He would immediately return to the students fighting and continue to try to break it up. He would continue until authorities arrive and are able to take over the situation.

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Tell us everything you know about the character you will be playing in a few paragraphs. What does they look like? What makes them unique and different? What is their outlook on Students? What about the other teachers? What is their personality like? What is their plan for the future?

Kenji Daiki(D.) Hiroshi is a 6'3", 29 year old male who lives by himself in a small apartment. In his life he never wanted wealth, which is something not a lot of people around him found sensible. He is very happy with a simple life as a professor, teaching students and making them better humans. He is a prodigy in neuroscience or almost any type of anatomy science. He always wears a suit of some kind. A very formal man of sorts. He has brown hair and brown eyes, with a very long looking face. His face is always resting, but with a slight smile at all times. His voice would be very smooth, calming, and deep, something you could fall asleep to.

His personality was very different than how he looked. If you prompted a conversation with him in a subject he enjoys, he could talk and talk and talk for hours. However when prompted with a subject he doesn't like, he is very monotoned in the way he speaks about it. The only thing Kenji loves more than his books and learning is teaching others about the things he has learned. His whole life he had liked teaching others what he would find out about the world. Kenji always works well with others. Especially when they treat him as an equal and with respect, Kenji will be their best friend. He is always looking for more people to talk to and meet.

Kenji's plan for the future is to hopefully continue learning and teaching for the rest of his life. He wants nothing more than to teach others the way of science and help them pursue what they want to pursue. He wants a simple life, maybe a partner in the future, but the main goal of his life is to educate the younger generations, and even if he can help one student be a better human, it would have been all worth it.

Describe how your character ended up becoming a teacher and their previous life. It is optional to include earlier life but recommended.

Make sure this is over 100 words.
Kenji Daiki Hiroshi was born on January 19th in 1994 at the Kyoto Second Red Cross Hospital. He was born an only child into a very wealthy family. He never had to worry about anything related to money. Anything he ever wanted, he got. However, as Kenji grew into his teens, he got tired of this. He wanted to work and he didn't want everything handed to him on a silver platter. He asked his parents if he could have a job, to which they immediately said no. He kept asking them over and over for years throughout his adolescence. Eventually his parents had had enough of him and kicked him out. Kenji was stunned. He didn't even know his parents could do that.

He had whatever clothes he could grab before they kicked him out, and he went on his way through the streets of Kyoto. he wondered endlessly for hours until he found a small patio with no one around. So he dropped all his things and laid down to get some sleep after an awful day. He awoke several hours later to a man tapping his shoulder. Kenji opened his eyes to see an older male with grayish hair, dark brown eyes and a soft, gentle smile. "Excuse me young man, but what are you doing out here on such a cold night?". Kenji didn't know what to say to the older man. "Oh come on son, come with me, you can stay with me for a while." said the older man, "And you can call me Mr. Daiki". Kenji laugh to himself at the name.

When Kenji entered Mr. Daiki's small apartment, he saw papers and charts and brain diagrams everywhere and all over the apartment walls. Kenji asked him what he did this for and Mr. Daiki said that he was a neuroscientist. And from then on, Mr. Daiki taught Kenji everything there was to know about neuroscience. At the time, Kenji was 16 and living with Mr. Daiki, however years went by quickly. Before he knew it, Kenji was 18 and had just finished his upper secondary school. Mr. Daiki encouraged Kenji to go to America to get his college degree, but Kenji was conflicted on which college. He eventually set his eyes on Harvard University and fly over to the states. He would spend the next 11 years of his life dedicated to the study of neuroscience.

After 11 years in America, Kenji had successfully obtained a B.A. and a Ph.D. in neuroscience. Once he got his affairs in order in America, he flew back home to Kyoto. He was so excited to see Mr. Daiki, as he could finally show him his degrees and show him his knowledge. However, Kenji soon discovered that Mr. Daiki had passed away a couple years back. Kenji was broken. The man who made him into who he is today, dead. Kenji was destroyed. He didn't even care about his degrees anymore. He went to Mr. Daiki's old apartment to look and see if anything was left for him. He searched the place in every corner and lifted every paper, but nothing was there. Then, sitting under Mr. Daiki's pillow sat a letter, old and dusty. Kenji sat down on the bed and opened the letter from Mr. Daiki. the letter read,
"My son, I know you will come back from America to a awful surprise, however don't let one set back determine your entire future. I taught you everything you needed, now go be that mentor to someone else who needs it. Find someone in distress like I did you. Help them navigate the world and find themselves. Return the favor that was given to you. Be well. -Mr. Daiki"

Kenji knew what he had to do. He opened his laptop and began looking for open spots available for professors. Kenji discovered a place named Karakura. He bought a small apartment and started life anew in this new city. Now Kenji is more determined than ever to make a difference in peoples lives and help them discover the world through science.
