Describe your activity on the server:

I began to play srp around february on 2021, and been fairly active with around 6-7 hours a day with small breaks every now and then. Ever since i've been very active in the community, participating in different types of roleplay, DramaRP, GangRP, Teacher RP, AnimalRP, CrimeRP, FamilyRP, JockRP and SchoolRP. Favorite so far being TeacherRP and criminalRP, I enjoy roleplaying serious situations which is way I always try to stay in character when engaging with other players. I only have 2 characters, Neo Corvid who was a teacher until January before getting the adult role, And Minah Bari Kirigaya, who I use to familyRP, I have her age locked at grade 9 to continue to RP as her age.
I've constantly been checking the rules whenever in doubts and I ask staff members questions about rules depending on the different situations while keeping my friends and others informed of them. I'm fairly active on the server forums, checking what's new, going over the rules, the laws and applying for different roles to experience different types of roleplay situations.

What is your motivation for applying?:

I’ve always been looking to try other types of roleplay that get my attention, so I decided to apply for the KPD, it's a very interactive role with many activities to do, and since i've been having more free time lately i'll be able to be actively helping out the officers and other players. I've asked a friend who's been in the faction for a while their opinions about it, and they say that they love it and that it's the best faction (and that yonio is so friendly). So with that, I'm here applying for the role and excited to begin this new experience.
For the past month or so I’ve been contemplating whether I should consider CopRP or not, I’ve come to the conclusion I rather do so. The roleplay experience and dealing with GangRP itself seems fun and quite interesting. Yes, I would love to work on some roleplay experience myself, though other parts do play a huge factor. I understand everything that comes along with it and am mentally ready to go through the pressure of the tasks and the time they take to accomplish, learning from mistakes and becoming better at the job.

What knowledge do you have of Police Work?

Each position has different duties and equipment, the first position that every new member has to go through is “Cadet” which I compare it to as a “UT” which basically means that they are still under training and are limited to what tasks they can do and what situations they can engage. As a cadet gets promoted, they become a patrol officer, which counts them as an official member of the KPD and are able to help train the cadets until they are promoted, they teach them different actions and accompany them on patrols, handing out fines, arresting and searching/pating down suspects. As they continue on the job and gain more experience to get promoted they begin to receive more tasks and equipment to do so, such as a Glock-17 and a vehicle.
There are fines, bail payments, arrests, mug shots, CCTV, patrolling, escorts, law enforcement and dealing with calls that can be risky or just complaint calls.. Those all play a big role when it comes to KPD and we ourselves apart of the force will have to attend the according calls along with the EMS workers as their goal overlaps with the KPD, to keep the citizens safe, maintain their health to give them peace in the city.

Why is the Police important to SchoolRP?

They are the ones who keep the law and order in the city, if it wasn't for them then many people would be getting mugged, hurt and killed, and many people who are trying to roleplay different situations would be interrupted by criminals and gangs. Just like teachers keep control of delinquents, police keep the peace of the city and enforce the law to keep the innocent in peace. Just like in the real world, cops are very important and is a job that must be closely monitored, as it can be abused if given to the wrong person. This role is often checking applications, due that it can be difficult to find those players with enough knowledge on the rules, laws and constitution of the city, dedication, time, patience, respectful and with a good reputation on the server's community.
I believe that id be of a good fit for the job since I see myself with the previous knowledge and reputation, this would be a good opportunity to be a role model for others who are dedicated players who wish to grow in the server.

Do you acknowledge that you're subject to being demoted if accepted at any given time?

I understand that I may be removed from the faction at any given time.

Do you acknowledge that by applying for this role, you are agreeing to be 100% dedicated to the Police Officer role?

I will put dedication in this role just like any other roles I've received in the past, putting in the work to give everyone a good roleplay experience.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?

I understand that I must assist to the training when online to learn more about my role and do a better job.

What languages are you proficient in besides Japanese?

Currently I only speak Japanese, but I'm still learning Korean.

Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?

She’s a Japanese female with Korean descendants, she's 6’0ft tall, pale skin with brown eyes and hair with a streak of blonde dye on the side of her forehead, has a very young look that helps her blend in with college students. She is usually a serious person with a great sense of justice, she knows what is right and wrong since she was little, and while her dad was a criminal she continued on the side of justice, even though it made her against her own dad, there is only right and wrong, no inbetween to her.

How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?

In a Professional situation, she remains focused and acts very mature and serious, especially on the field, thinking before acting on anything or saying anything, the way the police force looks in public is very important as they must keep their respect and respect others around.

In a casual situation, she would be more laid back, letting her mind wander off every now and then, she has a great imagination for someone like her, even though in this situation, she isn’t a joke or double meaning type of person, Words mean more to her, but there's nothing like a cup of hot coffee to make it up for her.

What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?

She knows her place in the workplace, to listen and follow the commands of her higher ups and respect her co-workers, those above or below her position are not treated differently, everyone should be respected. Teamwork is very important, many jobs are nearly impossible to do in the KPD alone, this is why communication and preparation is important in teamwork.

Do you see yourself as a leader or a follower? Why?

I see myself as a leader, reason being is that I consider myself a strategist, I always try to make plans for anything important such as catching criminals and solving crimes, and having the skill of critical thinking is a major part of being a strategist, along with criminology, knowing the way the enemy thinks will help foresee their next movement.

BACKSTORY (100+ words)

Kiyoko Takashi was born in Tokyo, she was an only child living in a small apartment in a poor area of the city. They would struggle to put food on the table and survive from the constant crime activity in the area. Kiyoko’s father had a low paying job as a construction worker, while the mother would keep herself and her daughter locked up in the apartment in fear of the criminals wandering around the area. As things were getting worse in the area, a conflict between gangs started, resulting in confrontations occurring around the area Kiyoko lived. The fights would often end with officers arriving and criminals running off in the dark alleys making an escape. This made the father worry more and more, to the point where he would often not show up to work due to the fear of leaving his family alone.

While he was on his way back to the apartment, one night during one of the confrontations between the gangs, a fire was started that ended up reaching the apartment complex of Kiyoko, she was woken up by the smoke and her mother began to scream her name from the masters bedroom, Kiyoko ran to the hall to see her parents door on fire, she ran to the kitchen to grab a fire extinguisher, but when she tried to use it, the rust on the old thing got the safety pin stuck, Kiyoko in the desperation began to cry as she continued to pull the pin, she ended up cutting her fingers with it and dropping it to the floor, Kiyoko began to panic not knowing what to do, soon her father came breaking into the door, and began to look for Kiyoko, he grabbed his 7 year old child and ran out the apartment, leaving the mother behind, as the room seemed to have completely on fire, and no more screams from her was heard.

After that night, they moved to karakura as Kiyoko had gotten a job as the underground subway conductor, and were able to get a nice apartment near the beach. She began to study to become a member of the KPD, as she wishes to help the citizens in the city have a life with more peace than what her childhood was.

No, a pocket knife is considered a minor weapon and results in jail time.

Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription

Any kind of cane

Eyepatches

Birth control

Cough syrup

Paracetamol

If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?

I'd step in and inform them of Article 18 of the constitution, which is the right to protection from police misconduct and excessive use of force, and I'd report it to the higher ups.

What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?

I'd alert it through the radio if it hasn't been already, I'd prepare my equipment needed for the situation such as a taser or glock and engage in the situation helping my co-worker detain and arrest the suspect.

What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?

I would get close to them to gather information on why they are doing it and for who, it would then be reported to the higher ups, the co-worker would then be investigated and arrested for gang affiliation once enough evidence has been collected.

How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?

Said person would be fined for attempting to bribe a government worker and arrested if they fail to pay. In some situations they would be arrested for obstruction of justice if they insist on taking the money.

Thank you for applying for KPD. Unfortunately, the higher-up team and I
have decided to deny this application. Most times it is simply due to the fact that
there are more suitable applicants, so feel free to give it another shot on the next cadet wave!
