School Employee Role you are applying for?:
Librarian
In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
A librarian, the monitors of the school library and important member of the school employees faction. The librarian often oversees activity In the school library, assisting students by issuing library passes to those who might enjoy indulging in one of the many books the library contains. The librarian represents more than another member of the school employees, they are in charge of overseeing an important section of the school, a centre of education allowing students to learn through reading without having to attend the limited classes and rapidly copy down Information, likely missing many key points. The Library allows this information to be taken in at a rate the student is comfortable with, overall a symbol of Learning and knowledge, quite important for a school! A librarian helps those in the library to access its vast amount of books and knowledge. In addition to this, a librarian may often perform the roles any other school employee may, patrolling the halls to look out for misbehaviour, issuing warnings and detentions to students who they find misbehaving, and assisting students with questions or issues they may have that require their help.
To summarise, a librarian oversees the school library, issues the students library cards, assists students in accessing the knowledge of the library, and the other common employee duties of monitoring student behaviour and keeping the school a happy and safe environment!
What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
I have been playing SchoolRP for 8 months as well as small amounts of roleplay done outside the server, In that time my roleplay skills have developed significantly. I have taken part in GangRP and other forms of roleplay found whilst playing the game casually such as DetailRP Which I feel as though I have improved significantly at recently. I do see this as an opportunity to improve my skills even further than casual gameplay has been able to accomplish. As while I have been playing the server for a decent length of time now, I still might be seen as slightly inexperienced compared to others, I see the as an opportunity to develop my roleplay skills and capabilities even further and Interact more with the community. So yes I have a pretty good amount of experience In roleplay and feel confident I could manage the required roleplay of school employee members.
Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
I would like to join this faction as I believe it is a chance to engage in more roleplay and improve my skills. I have not had the experience of being a member of one of the servers factions before and am eager to engage in the roleplay of a faction! For the librarian specifically, I chose to apply because I notice (at least for the time I am online) that there are not as many librarians online, and that the library has less people there than it used to. This inspired me to apply for the role because I believe there are less librarians than other employee roles and that I could put in my effort to reviving the school library and making the location a hotspot for students once again!

Situations
During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
She would remain silent, awaiting for the student to finish with their insults. Once they had done so, she would take a deep breath, ensuring that her response was calm and respectful. She would tell the student that such hurtful opinions must be kept to themselves and continuing to use harmful words to her, other members of staff or other pupils would only lead to consequences for them. Her gaze intensely focused into the students eyes, making it clear she was being serious and that her instructions must be followed. Ensuring that the student understood what she had said and would not repeat such behaviour.
You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
Her eyes would widen in shock as she noticed the two students brawl, Instantly yelling for the two to separate and getting between the two if necessary. Once the yelling had stopped and the two were restrained. She would drop her kind and caring smile for a serious glare and speak to the two mildly infuriated. Stating how wreck less it was to endanger each other's safety like that, Stating that their immature actions were not only an embarrassment to the school but also themselves and that the two must go separate ways. Ending stating that if she caught them fighting again then she would be particularly angry, Then leaving once appropriate punishments had been given to those involved.
Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:
She would hesitantly walk towards them, asking them if they knew what they were doing was rather dangerous? Maintaining her soft and friendly approach she has for students, trying to be respectful towards her co-worker, not wanting them to assume she found them incapable or disliked them on a personal level. Hence why her response would be worded carefully, to inform them that their actions were endangering others whilst not doing so in a manner that may be seen as aggressive towards another member of staff. She was helping them, not criticising them.
When in the employee break room, how does your character act?
When entering the room, her constant pleasant and kind expression would fade in favour of a more neutral facial expression and attitude, as she was no longer under the pressure to appear as a role model for students. Still talking in a respectful manner to other employees, she would relax in the break room as that is what it was, a break from the stresses of her job to relax before continuing to assist pupils of the school. She would take a seat, mostly keeping to herself as she sits back and relaxes to help cope with such a stressful day.
Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:
(Issuing a Student a Library Card)
/me She would Smile Warmly at the student approaching her, raising her hands from her sides to the front of the desk and meeting the students gaze, showing her eagerness to assist the student with whatever they may need! Nodding along as the student explained that they wanted a library card. How wonderful that Students still enjoyed reading! Her smile widened as the student finished. Replying that "Of course dear, I will happily get you a Library card!" As she reached behind her to grab one, before reaching to pull out the library card, she would ask the student "Do you have the ¥2000 required to purchase this library card?" As they confirmed that they did, she would finally grab the library card, pulling it out and placing it on the desk in front of them. She received the Payment from the student, Showing them a soft smile as she passed over their new library card. "Thankyou for Purchasing a library card! Have a great rest of your day and use your library card well!" She would say, giving a small wave to the student as they left, continuing to show a smile to the student until they had left the library. Sitting back in her chair, happy that at least some children still enjoyed reading.
(A Student is being disrespectful in the Library)
/me She would stare coldly at the student, at a loss for words. How could they be so disrespectful to her wonderful Library? She would call the student over, her voice clearly infuriated and her facial expression even more so. "Why do you believe such foul language to be appropriate for this place?" She said, glaring at the student making it clear that she did not find their joking around funny "This is a quiet and safe space that is not fit for such rude and behaviour. It is disrespectful and I must Insist you take it elsewhere." Her point made clear, she was not messing around. Relaxing her body language and lowering her voice back down to a neutral tone "So unless you are wiling to calm down and use this space respectfully then please leave.." She finished. The chance for the student to make up for what they did had been given.
(A Student has asked where the bathroom is)
/me After the student had finished speaking, she facepalmed, sighing, what a common question for the students to ask. She opens her mouth to respond, but is interrupted by her own yawning. Yes, a very common question.. She eventually stopped yawning and cleared her throat to respond "Ah, are you new here? Well the bathroom would be Just down there dear!" She said, turning to point in the direction of the nearest bathroom to them. Scratching the back of her head a brief moment, stretching her arms and yawning once again. Eventually stopping to add "Just head down there and quickly finish up then head back to your lesson okay?" She said, a small smile on her face to provide the student reassurance. As the student began walk down the hall in the direction she had pointed, she gave a brief wave to them before returning to what she had previously been doing. Now what was that again?

Backstory
Elizabeth was born on the 3rd of January 1990 In the Belgian city of Antwerp. But her nationality was not so straight forward. As Belgium, Which borders 3 countries with distinct identities and languages had embedded tensions between these groups. Her mother was of French decent, evidenced by her French mannerism, heavy accent and rarely ever speaking a word of anything else. Whereas her father was from the northeast, speaking both Dutch and German. From a young age Elizabeth found herself under pressure to adopt the culture each parent wanted her to. Her mother was hellbent on her child adopting her own beliefs. That Wallonia, Belgium's southern region should become a part of France. However despite her best efforts, Elizabeth would never adopt these beliefs or even learn French. As Antwerp, the city they lived in resided in Belgium's northern half Flanders. The people of Belgium's north continued to use Dutch as their primary language. As such Elizabeth grew up surrounded by Dutch speakers and was taught Dutch as her first language in school. Her father encouraged Elizabeth to engage with the Dutch culture of the north, saying that she was allowed to enjoy whichever culture she wanted and the wishes of her mother were irrelevant. By the time she was nine years old she was clearly in favour of Dutch as a language and a lifestyle, not understanding French nearly as well. This infuriated her mother, late at night Elizabeth would often listen to her parents argue over her as she tried to fall sleep. She tried to not put as much thought into these issues, Instead focussing on her newly found joy of reading. She enjoyed spending her school breaks in the library reading all about many different things, Especially history. She didn't have many friends at school, but the few that she did have she grew incredibly fond of. Her best friend Fredrick who she called 'Fritz' as a nickname would often talk to her about the personal topics she was too scared to mention to anyone else. While she was not in a comfortable position with expectations from her mother, for a while she was happy there, until one day, that all changed.
Her mother, regardless of her father's or her own's wishes had arranged for Elizabeth to attend boarding school in Paris. She immediately broke down into tears upon learning this, unable to sleep she imagined the strict conditions she would have to face, the way of life she would have to adopt. The next day at school when Fritz entered the library to talk to Elizabeth, he did not find her deep into another one of the many books there, but crying alone at a desk. She explained to him that she was being taken away and wouldn't see him again. Fritz could do little to comfort her in this moment, but assure her that he would miss her. When the school year ended, she knew she would never come back. September 4th 2001, she arrived at Paris with her mother. As other children were dropped off, their mothers wished them the best, assuring them that they were loved and would be missed. All Elizabeth's mother showed her was a glare. A way or reminding her of what would happen if she didn't change to fit the image she wanted. It was immediately clear there was a severe language barrier. She could only understand basic French phrases. Understanding even Japanese better from silly cartoons she watched on television. Eventually the teachers there grew tired of her misunderstanding and gave her Dutch copies of the information she needed to study. While teaching many of the same subjects her old school did, they pushed forward studies that reflected the French Identity and nationalism. She had to take classes on French history, presenting France as a warrior state and how it had once conquered many of its neighbours. Even outside of classes, her life there was miserable. Other students there teased her for not understanding French. It did not ease tensions between Elizabeth and her classmates when many shared her mothers belief that Wallonia was a rightful part of France. After the pains of her new life began to ease, it fell into routine. She would study and study and study some more.. She grew bored. Longing for her old life back. The excitement of the world she belonged in. This continued for another 2 years, until she was called down for a visitor.
January 3rd 2004, It was her birthday, yet there was nothing to celebrate. Despite 2 years in Paris boarding school, she loathed it every bit as much as she did on her first day. The intercom went. She was needed at the front desk. Probably a pity gift from a sympathetic teacher she assumed. But when she reached the front desk she couldn't have been more wrong, it was her father. It was suddenly as though the routine of her dull life snapped in Just that moment. As they left outside, her father explained what had happened while she was gone. When her mother had returned home the two had engaged in another heated argument. But perhaps this time her mother felt more powerful, as she chose to file for divorce. While her mother had custody legally, he himself did not want to see his daughter forced into a life she didn't want. He took her to Cologne In Germany. Where her friend Fritz and his family would let her stay out of her mothers grasp until she was old enough to take on her own responsibilities. While overall Elizabeth viewed her time in Paris as a painful experience, she had gained several of her qualifications there for the regular subjects. This is when she made up her mind. She wanted to go to Karakura in Japan.
Her time in Cologne, while overall quite uneventful was relaxing for Elizabeth. She spent most of her time engaging in her favourite pass time of reading bonding with Fritz, the two growing ever closer in this time. However happiness can only last so long. Her mother who by law was her legal guardian had found out about her dropping out of the boarding school in Paris. When she found out it was her father responsible for her leaving, she took him to court over the issue. While seen as morally correct, he was found guilty and Imprisoned for 6 years. Elizabeth, Now 18 was worried that her mother would make an attempt to have her sent back to Paris or even Antwerp. But luckily she had a few months before been accepted as a Japanese citizen. She immediately made plans to fly to Japan. Fear drove her to reschedule her move from 2008 to a few weeks from then. She said goodbye to Fritz for the final time, running away without looking back. Afraid of what she had been through and determined to never go through it again.
January 11th 2025. Years had passed since the events that had ensued. In that time Elizabeth had become a fully qualified adult. Moving to Japan, she completed the last of her studies in Karakura and over the years had learnt the Japanese language fluently. She now had to find a job. And above all else, she wanted to help young people. To make sure nobody felt pressured to be somebody they were not. And she thought applying for a Job in the School as a Librarian would be the best fit for her.
Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective):
My motives for joining are simple. I wish to help the young people of Karakura in their education and wellbeing. Obviously I also see myself capable of the duties of site management that is always beneficial to an institution on the scale of yours.

I believe that I could be of great assistance to Karakura high if I am accepted to the position. My passion for reading is as strong as it gets and I believe that I could help not only manage the school library but help it to thrive and engage with your students to help them enjoy reading. Obviously I also see myself capable of the duties of site management that is always beneficial to an institution on the scale of yours.
Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
I do not believe myself more talented than any other who may have chosen to apply, but I have a passion for reading unlike anything else and determination to see reading amongst students increase. I can promise you that having me work for your great school would be incredibly beneficial to not only maintaining the site but helping it to thrive! And that is what makes me unique amongst other applicants, I can and I will help the school and its students to succeed.
