Describe your activity on SchoolRP:
I am on practically every day for 4+ hours. It is very rare, but if I am not on for a day, I am at work and will prepare in advance with an inactivity log. Roleplaying is one of my favourite activities on the server, and I love to make friends to have fun with!

Describe your roleplay experience with SchoolRP and other roleplay networks in general:
I have been acting in plays since I was young. More recently, in high school, I made it to state for acting and now am signed to a talent agency, pursuing an acting career. I know how people act and why, because I have studied human behaviour for as long as I can remember. I also am an active GM for a D&D group and have been playing for almost five years now. I was an active member of Fantasy roleplay for a few months before it became indisposed. I have been playing on Roleplay hub for approximately a year, and I am so glad I have. I have met friends here that I have been able to connect with over a love of playing characters.

What is your motivation for becoming a professor?:
OOC Motive
My mother is a teacher and she tells me about her struggles and successes in the classroom. From what I have heard, it is a very fulfilling career, and I want the best for my character. I have a passion for learning about Theology, stemming from my love of Greek Mythology. I have done hours of research on the subject and I always find myself wanting people to ask me questions about it. I believe that as a professor, I will be able to spread the knowledge of these ancient religions that I love.

IC Motive
I truly believe in the power of education to change lives for the better. When I was younger, I was in a very dark place. I found my way to the light through the experience of going through college. I believe that I can truly help people grow into the mature adults that they can be.

1. Class Debate: Roman vs Greek vs Alexandrian gods. Winning side gets tokens!~

2. Pick-a-Patron: Every student picks a patron god to do a presentation on. They can work in groups or alone!~

A beach day where the students would get to hang out at the pier and swim would be amazing! We would have a sandcastle competition!

SCENARIO SECTION

Your character would encounter a group of college jocks surrounding a bobcat jock, what would your character do?
Thesagia would stride up to them quickly, yet calmly and say nothing, watching the interaction. She would assess whether they were having conflict, and if she deemed the situation dangerous, she would intervene, telling the jocks to separate. If they did not listen, she would threaten detention. If the behaviour persisted, She would hand them detention slips and let them know that she would see them after school.

Your character would be supervising detention, one of the students constantly disturbs by asking stupid questions, what would your character do?
Thesagia would walk to the student’s desk, and discreetly ask them to keep quiet. If they continued to be disruptive, she would remind them again. If they did not listen, she would call SLT because detention would no longer be appropriate.

Your character would be hosting a class, and a group of cheerleaders keeps on playing songs on the phone and calling out other students in the class. What would your character do?
Miss Hanabusa would identify the troublemakers, and ask them from the front of the class to stop. If the student did not listen, she would pause the class and give them something to work on. She would pull aside the student, explaining how their behaviour is interruptive and distracting. She would also threaten them with detention. If they persisted, she would call SLT.

Your character would be walking on the school perimeter and encounter a fight between a couple of students, your character tried to break it up but it didn't help, what would your character do?
Thesagia’s natural instincts would immediately kick into gear. She would rush towards the fight and attempt to get in between the participants. If she was not able to break up the fight, she would try and call for backup on her radio while forcefully telling the students to stop fighting. She’d threaten to give them detention and also threaten to call SLT. Through all this, Thesagia would continually attempt to get in between them. If they would not cease the fighting, she would call SLT as well.

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Thesagia Hanabusa is a 5’6” Greek female. Thesagia is wicked smart and she is very good under pressure. She believes that education has the power to change lives. She is a very serious person, but on occasion, she lets loose and tells quite a lot of jokes. Thesagia comes from a very troubled background. She knows what it is like to have a closed mindset, and she hopes to help her students develop a growth mindset.
Thesagia has dirty blonde hair, falling to the middle of her back, and she has grey eyes that reflect green. She has a toned, hourglass shaped body. She loves to wear heels, and wears them BASICALLY every day. You can often find her in a plain blouse with a blazer and matching slacks. On the weekends, she likes to wear more relaxed clothing such as jumpers and jeans.
Thesagia’s main goal in life is to leave a legacy. She wants to be someone of influence. By teaching, she can do that. What makes her unique is that she has an unwavering loyalty to the people she cares about. She will protect her students as if they are her family. This also means that she holds them up to high standards. She expects them to live up to the standards she holds to them. Thesagia likes to keep her coworkers at a professional level, but as she gets to know them, she slowly opens up and relaxes.


Describe how your character ended up becoming a teacher and their previous life. It is optional to include earlier life but recommended.

Thesagia Valis was born in the village of Mytikas, in Greece. Located in the south of the Ionian Islands, Mytikas is both surrounded by tall mountains and is a seaside town. Thesagia’s mother was a beautiful Englishwoman named Emma who had come to Greece on her way to explore the world. She met Sage’s father, Kostas at a local restaurant, when the host made a mistake, seating them at the same table. One thing led to another, and they got married. Thesagia, “Sage,” grew up without too many friends. There weren’t too many children around her age in such a small village, so she mostly hung out with her parents and their friends. Her father’s favourite place to go was a bar, bordering the sea. It was called “Almiró Kýma,” or, “Salty Wave,” in english. The barkeep was a man by the name of Nikos, whom Sage called, “Uncle Nicky.” He was always kind to her, and would give her apple juice in a beer glass to make her feel included. Her parents believed in the power of knowledge, and raised her to be wickedly smart.

When she was 11, Sage and her mother went on a small birthday boating trip into the islands. At a point when Emma was asleep and Sage was steering, a rough storm rolled in. The waves crashed them about, and Sage panicked. She shook her mother awake, and pleaded with her to save them. Her mother took over the steering, but it was too late. A giant wave pummelling them into a nearby cliff wall, puncturing the boat and spilling water into the bottom. Sage and her mother attempted to grab onto the cliff and climb up. Sage proved to be very efficient, but her mother struggled. About halfway up the cliff, Emma Valis lost her grip and fell to her death. Sage stayed on that cliff until her limbs felt like jelly. When she finally finished climbing up, she collapsed on her back, and promptly blacked out. She was found by a local fisherman whose land she had passed out on, and returned to her village.

Sage and her Father grew distant, each grieving in their own ways, until Kostas took a new job in Taketatsu, Japan. He moved away, leaving her in Greece with her Uncle Nikos, who eventually employed her at the bar. Years later, Sage turned 18 and her father wrote to her, asking her to move closer. She was unsure of it, wondering if they really could have a relationship again. She asked for advice from her Uncle Nikos, and he told her that she should always decide on the side of hope. She decided to move to Japan, but not to the same town. She moved to a town west of Tokyo, called Karakura. There, she started her senior year, and joined the Swim team. She wasn’t happy about the move at first and got in with the wrong sort of people. She joined a gang for a short period of time because they treated her like family. She was happier, but still couldn’t feel the sense of fulfilment from her life that she wanted.

One particularly angsty day, Sage was sitting on the train, riding from stop to stop, when another student stepped on. She saw Sage, reading her expression and sensing that there was something wrong. She attempted to reach through Sage’s extensive walls, and was unsuccessful at first. Sage felt that this girl could provide her with a safe space, yet held back. This was the beginning of an almost sisterly relationship. The girl, Haru, taught Sage many things. She pulled her out of the gang, and helped her find her calling. Sage and Haru both realised that they wanted to be teachers, Haru, Science, and Sage, Theology. Over the span of a couple years, Sage stopped going by her nickname, and wanted people to call her by her full name, Thesagia. She and Haru kept in touch throughout college. While Haru graduated with a Bachelor’s in Astrology, Thesagia decided to continue her education, getting a masters in Theology.

Over the summer before her final year of college, Thesagia travelled to Rome, studying Roman house gods to write her thesis on. While there, she met a young high school teacher, who had a love for art classics and sculptures. Hachirō Hanabusa had been supervising a field trip for his class, and he would sneak away from them to meet up with her. They fell in love, and they started dating. Thesagia finished up her masters degree online, moving in with him and his many children. At her graduation, Hachiro asked her to marry him. She said yes, and he moved them to Karakura, Japan, where Haru works, taking up residence in his old family estate.
