I am fairly active on the server, starting back in 2023. I took a lengthy break due to having an overwhelming amount of responsibilities in my day-to-day life, however, I have found myself active on a daily basis.

I am applying for the role of counselor.

In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
A counselor is someone who is licensed to take on the responsibility of providing support, guidance, and strategies to help youth with emotional, social, and psychological challenges. They are the voice of reason and offer a listening ear, acting as true problem-solvers. The day-to-day life of a counsellor is known to be unpredictable, as they manage varying tasks throughout their profession. A counselor's main priority should be creating safe spaces for students to express themselves in an open environment, prioritizing academic pursuit and being the voice of reason for those that may not be excelling in the appropriate categories. The extend of their intervention can be short to long term given the circumstances at hand and what the student's needs include. Overall, counselors discourage poor attendance or entire lack thereof and any misconduct, firmly discouraging any behavior that impacts students negatively while they are attending. They are often the first to a scene, valuing communication skills and time management. Counselors engage in early intervention strategies to prevent situations from escalating, offer a safe space for students to express concerns and troubles, offering advice about future career paths, and academic guidance. A counselor's career is far from simple, impacting far more than themselves.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
In general, I have a vast history of roleplay experience. My experience goes all the way back to 2018, starting on others servers and games as a whole. I have always had a passion for writing and interacting with others, it has provided me with varying knowledge and interests. I love to write and that often translates into my roleplay style and experience, providing detail where I am capable of doing so. More times than not, I match the people around me and occasionally I'm the one to teach someone something new!

Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
I would like to join the School Employee faction because I have interacted with the faction on multiple different occasions and found all of the members to be welcoming people, in and out of character. It's always a pleasure to interact with them and I have some of my favorite memories with those a part of the faction, whether it be current members or past. Out of character, I have had extensive schooling around the role I am applying for, and I would like to share this knowledge and experience through my character. I enjoy giving others interactions that impact them positively and as a member of the School Employee faction, I am able to give members and their characters the welcome they're seeking. This would allow me the opportunity to flesh out my own character and bring their story to full fruition, though ultimately, I look forward to meeting other people and being part of something that makes a difference.

Situations

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
Kuzmenko regarded the student with raised eyebrows and little recognition beyond his subtle surprise. His demeanor displays nothing but care, and perhaps concern for the individual. Turning his attention to them, his voice lowers - calm and steady - ready for whatever may be the response. "Let's choose what we say carefully, please. If you would like to talk about what might be troubling you further, I am always open to listening to what might be the root of these words." His expression remained gentle, inviting, and encouraging.

Should the behavior continue, he would hand them a detention slip with further instruction going forward.

You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
With urgency, Kuzmenko quickly approached the two students that were part of the altercation. He placed himself in-between them to discourage the fight from continuing, radio in hand should the situation escalate further. Acknowledging both of the students, he briefly shook his head in disapproval. "Keep your hands to yourselves, please and thank you. I wouldn't want this to continue and have to take it to faculty." He advised, despite the continued behavior from either student, he'd hand them both a detention slip.

Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:
Kuzmenko's attention was caught by the actions of his peer, his expression shifting to a mix of disappointment and annoyance for their behavior. He'd approach the other employee, concern washing over his features. Keeping his distance, his voice would carry over to them with firm discovery; like how he may talk to a student he's caught misbehaving. "Let's take a step back, shall we? I don't think there's any need of thing, how about we come up with a better strategy?" He insisted, standing in place while he awaited a response.

If this was found to be a reoccurring issue or he is met with a response that isn't appropriate, he would undoubtedly report it to higher ups in the faculty.

When in the employee break room, how does your character act?
Kuzmenko, often someone to stick to himself, would observe from a short distance away. Not one to alienate himself, he remains close enough to engage in subtle small talk, but not enough to over-indulge. He is often seen running his hands through his hair or itching the back of his neck if he isn't too confident in a situation. He would be a positive face, always greeting his peers with a smile and a word of welcome. He presents himself as a laid-back individual, with a mug of coffee in one hand or the other. Once his time in the break room is over, he gives his farewells and heads right back to work.

Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:
/me peeked up from the computer screen, regarding the student with a small smile on his features. He leaned back in his seat, expression remaining composed and welcoming. He looked friendly enough, despite the sharp look to his eyes. "Good morning, [Student's Name], how are we doing today? Anything I can help you with?" He inquired, concern filling his softened voice. His hands dragged back across the hard surface that supported his computer and supplies, lingering on the edge with the tips of his middle and index fingers. Using one of those hands, he pushed the frames of his glasses back to their original position. Kuzmenko's gaze never left the student, giving them his upmost attention and consideration.

/me observed the student sat in front of him, asked to enter the room to discuss their misbehavior previous to their current predicament. He leans back on the edge of the table, hands clasping together in front of him. Kuzmenko looked to the student with a concerned silver lining, despite the decisions they've made. Evidently, he doesn't judge their misbehavior, wanting nothing more than to help the student as much as he can. "Tell me, [Student's Name], is there any reason that's leading you down this path? I'm worried for your attendance and your academic record. I can help you, but only if you'll let me." He informed, brow gently coming to a furrow, knitting together to showcase his concentration.

/me placed himself in-between the pair of students that were throwing insults at each other left and right, hoping to dissuade them from escalating the situation to a physical altercation. "Go your separate ways, please. This doesn't need to go further than it already has." Kuzmenko states, his voice firm. He glances between both of them, as one proceeds to insult the other student further, his full attention narrows on the individual. "I have asked you to go your separate ways, if you don't, I will have no other choice but to give you a detention slip." He warns, only moving out of the way to regard both students individually once they have parted from one another and tensions have begun to settle.

Backstory
Milo Kuzemenko was born and raised in Kaliningrad, the largest city of the Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia. He was born, November 5th, 1998, to a religious household, expectations beyond his small mind's comprehension. Kuzemenko, an infamous name in the communities of Kaliningrad, known for their dedication to Catholicism and the efforts they took to maintain their status above all else. He was conceived to Andromeda Kuzemenko and Viktor Kuzemenko, both married under oath and few shared words before their union. An arranged marriage between an artist and a neurosurgeon, what the combination. This union made for Milo's childhood to be one coddled by a mother and an absent father figure, even with the birth of his little sister, Yana, it didn't bring his father any closer to their family. Andromeda, wanting nothing but the best for her children, encouraged the depths of their education and academic pursuit. The siblings grew in a loving home, provided for by their father and emotionally by the mother that would do anything to see them thrive. Milo was given task after task, growing to care for his mother and sister by the time he passed his tenth birthday. On a quiet evening in the middle of December, Viktor entered their humble home and pronounced Milo's sudden employment to their local church. One of the many priests of their community insisted on an internship for the young Milo, disregarding his academic goals in favor of following in his footsteps. With no choice in the agreement, Andromeda gave way to her son's future and allowed her husband to do as he pleased.

Milo's involvement in the church extended for roughly four years, seeing his mother and sister few and far in-between from the time he left. In these short periods, he would aid his mother as much as possible with anything that regarded their humble abode. From the outside looking in, there was no issues - a perfect, present family - amongst the rubble of their growing problems. With a resentment compiling towards his father, when he came home and pronounced his affair to nurse at the hospital, all came undone between holy matrimony and forgotten vows. Andromeda, with no choice, was forced to find a career path in dire hopes that she could support for her children where Viktor had abandoned them. Milo renounced his teachings at the church and finally found himself back in standard academics for youth his own age, excelling the moment he stepped foot inside. There was too much on the line, too much he couldn't risk. Nothing grew on Milo's nerves like dishonesty and infidelity, as it dismantled his entire life in a few measly words and lack of faith. This bliss lasted a few mere months, when Milo came home from school to find his father placing hands on his little sister. He acted before thinking, diving at the man he barely knew and truly relinquishing the temper that had been holding on by a thread for years. Andromeda came home to her ex-husband on the floor at her son's mercy, he was alive, but this brought forth so many complications. Again, left with no choice, Andromeda shipped her son away to the furthest place she could manage, where they had family residing but didn't make contact with unless absolutely necessary.

Karakura, Japan. Milo Kuzemenko started another chapter of his life in an adoptive family, with a brother who shared his past and he quickly bonded with. While his adoptive father-figure was not that much older, a college student barely making it by, he spoke Russian and that brought a sense of familiarity forth for Milo. During his time in Karakura, he made an abundance of friends that carried throughout high school and into his adult life. These are people he treasures and continues to do so, having seen one another through the hard times into the people that they've become today. Eventually, Milo decided to be the voice of reason for the youth of Karakura and wherever else he may end up. He enrolled in Karakura's college and chased after a bachelor's degree in psychology. After multiple years of hard work, late nights studying and little social life, he graduated at the top of his classes and a sharper mind than he could ever imagine.

He would never be that helpless child again, but he would be the weathered voice for others in need.

Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective):

"This career is something I have always wanted. This would be the foot in the door that I'm looking for, an opportunity to grow beyond what I already have. I have experience and perhaps the students of Karakura High School could use someone they can relate to, someone to turn to in a moment of need and difficulty. I believe all children are capable of wonderful things, if they just put their mind to it."

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:

"I don't believe I'm above anyone else, but I do think I am fully equipped with qualities for this position that others may not have. These students need someone capable of offering patience and solutions to what may be causing them trouble. As someone who has been in similar situations, I can confidently say that I understand where they're coming from. I'm someone they can relate to, I know what it's like to feel like there's nowhere to turn. I can offer the school's students both empathy and firm boundaries. They need someone that can encourage and guide them at the same time; point them in the right direction. Without a doubt, I believe this is something I can provide the faculty with."
