As snazzy as it currently can be. I am in school 3 days of the week and work another 2-3 but I finish around 5-6 usually and 8 on rare occasions; I still have a few free hours every evening as well as a few where I can go into later times. Hashtag night owl.

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
I’ve been creating original characters on SchoolRP for coming up to almost ten years now. In my humble opinion, I’ve checked off every box. Writing is my form of escapism and I take pride in every soul I’ve developed over the last decade - some of my characters have been extremely special to me, particularly my college darling Runa. I tried to get back into playing Seno Soda once more, but I simply fear that I was not connected to her character much anymore. I miss playing eccentric characters, but wanted to experiment with one that differs to my current character.
Too long didn’t read? I use writing as an outlet and pride myself in my quality of writing. I think I capture my characters well with different styles of writing and I thoroughly enjoy it.

What is your motivation for applying?

Predominantly nostalgia, if I am being honest. I want to return to a role I am familiar with and feel capable of balancing. I unfortunately couldn’t quite juggle reporter due to a lack of motivation for my character and OOC circumstances, but I have been fed many old medal clips and just want to be part of this faction again.
Of course, there is drive for the role, as well. I do not wish to pick it up for the sole sake of having a tag. It is safe to say that I have managed to build a connection with EMS and feel particularly wanted within the faction, and that’s always a factor. . Haha. Besides that, I miss playing Uno; she was a former character of mine and I felt upon trying to bring back Seno that I just didn’t enjoy playing that demographic of character at the moment. I have been developing my college character and want a neutral to fall back on when I am having trouble doing this. I know how to play Tamanaha and would love to give her another run. I feel EMS will fare better with my schedule as I can log on during my free hours and roleplay as opposed to completing a task, hence why I am applying for psychiatrist! I am well informed when it comes to the faction, unless things have drastically changed. . completely, and am entirely open to adjusting to whatever new system has come into place. I just want to build from the ground up in this community again since it has been around four years. . That is a long time. I'm in a good place where Ive gotten the hang of my work-life balance, and perhaps I am too involved with one character, it'd be nice to balance two.

In short, I enjoy roleplaying and roleplay based positions. I want to experience it from another character’s point of view and feel that it would work well with my schedule and my desire to expand my vocabulary even further. There’s no better way to do that than writing, after all.

Which role are you applying for?
Pyschiatrist

What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?
I honestly don’t know how things are now, but I helped to write a lot of the foundations for certain procedures and whatnot a few years back. Obviously, things change, but I am confident that I understand more-or-less who does what and why. I need to educate myself on the change of the actual roles, but I am aware that a psychiatrist’s main duty is to perform therapy sessions. Simple ish. They need to listen to the patient and give thoughtful, sensitive and informed advice, leaving space for the patient to feel as though they are in control, have a choice and do not feel forced to take any advice. There may be reason to prescribe medication after a series of these sessions come to conclusions, however it has always been my stance to not dish that out on the first run.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?

Yes, I will note that I have team practice three-four times a week but I’ll discuss that with whoever would be to train me.

Character Backstory:

She was raised well, excelling in good manners, straying from boys and cramming for exams. Bang-average, was the word. . It wasn’t until her mother up and left to her childhood island, suitcases in hand, did Uno find a sense of self. To keep it concise. . Uno Tamanaha was a force to be reckoned with, she appeared as a near-nobody. . (Or perhaps a nepoo baby?) into the red-and-black spotlight as the Highschool Cheer Captain. It feels a tale as old as time, now, for the young gyaru paraded with claws to the heavens and lashes that spiders envied for homes. Despite the stigma that surrounded a cheer captaincy, Tamanaha’s heart had love for all, she preached friendship and rarely justified anger, laying a fierce foundation for her gals as she made way for the more cut-throat blonde to come. However big her heart was, it was taken up by none other than Kyosuke Hisakawa, a highschool sweetheart who was nearly torn from her with the hurricanes of aging. He became a Spartan - how treacherous?!
As all good love stories do, this one prevailed. They meandered through their troubles, following a red and blue paved adventure all the way to an altar. ‘I do’ became a constant, for it was what she uttered wearing a white dress and coat alike as she swore to take care of any patients that’d sit opposite her. As her career kickstarted on mainland Japan, a hunger for her former town grew in the belly of the beast. . If the beast was a small-framed lady with round glasses, of course. It’s uncertain if returning was a mix of passion or pity, or even perhaps a sense of duty. . However, Tamanaha was convinced that her calling was Karakura; and so, she returns.

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?

Tamanaha is a psychiatrist, she graduated from highschool in Karakura, then went on to study in mainland Japan and received a degree a few years down the line, qualifying her for the position. In and out of this, she volunteered to provide support to vulnerable people, especially having sessions with the elderly during winter. Her focus came from feeling conflicted during her teenage years, especially watching the Bobcats and Spartans duke it out. There was no rhyme or reason to it, and the girl only saw people too afraid to reach out for help. She couldn’t beat them, didn’t want to join them. . So she chose to help them.

Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
Officially? No. She was at volunteer placements for majority of her training, however when the opportunity arose in Karakura for a set of trainees. . She was on it like a car bonnet!
No, but really, this would be her first professional opportunity to work in the field. Only being 30, she wouldn’t have had a chance to work much after receiving her qualifications.

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?

Remnants of her gyaru past linger, the artificial blonde stuck to her like flies to honey. Her hair was permed, little ringlets of hope spiralling past her sunlit face and to her chest. There was no reason to frown around Tamanaha, for her presence beamed and would not falter. She was confident in her ability, but humble nonetheless, she daren’t flaunt the skills she had. . However, if you challenged her, the lady would not back down without a fight. If you weren’t perceptive, she’d easily blend into the background. . But she was always the coworker that’d bring you coffee, ask about your day, notice the small things about you. A honey-laden voice whispered calmly in her wake, nearly blending with the ambience. That was Tamanaha, she was part of the ordinary and strived to just be liked. That was it.

How does your character act around the hospital?
Confident, but cautious. She doesn’t own the place, but she won’t sneak around as though the roof could fall in with a bolder step. If she makes a mistake, she owns it with a solemn bow and carries on about her day. We’re all only human, a hot-take that she wears like a crown. Uno Tamanaha dabbles in pleasantries, she’s always happy to slide in small talk between her daily duties. That may be the death of her, perhaps, but it is certainly a fact that absolutely everything intrigues her. There might be a dull day, but she’ll be happy to talk with you about it. Uno respects her higher-ups, hardly battling with authority unless the case is dire. . Code red and whatnot.

Does your character function better on their own or with others?

That depends on the task. Perhaps in sessions, she thrives better on her own. It’d be unusual to have two psychiatrists, anyways, unless she was being supervised. Tamanaha feels strongly about connecting with the patient and making them feel seen and comfortable, so her sole presence is justified in that sense. However, one person can’t run a hospital alone, there are always duties that need to be taken care of. She’s’ a firm believer in justice. . She’ll take the trash out today, so long as you’ll do it tomorrow. Tamanaha doesn’t let herself be walked over, however she’s always willing to find a compromise that works for the team.
