Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
I like to believe the teachers of SchoolRP and Kakakura High are really important. They teach the students what they need to learn to get closer and closer to college, guiding them towards success and great sportsman ship. Many teachers are on campus, teaching students different things needed for college. The stuff they teach can inspire students on what career choice they want to choose for college to go for, and what job they'll want in the future.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?: Yes
Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?: Yes
In-Character Section
What's your character's full name?: Vincent "Vince" Asuki
What is your character's nationality?: Korean
What is your preferred subject to teach?: Performing Arts (Music)
Describe your character:
A 27 year old male. Around 5'7, walking around with Black hair and yellow-hazel light eyes. He is a fun and inspiring teacher. He is super calm and patient with the students. But don't let this patience wear off. As when he is pushed to his limits, he'll snap. But he wouldn't physically hurt anyone at all. He tends to be mostly calm and talkative. Trying to boost the students mood with a smile, a good morning, and happy gestures. He also tends to be extroverted, talking to his students, getting to know them better and better. He respects students boundaries, and understands if they are tired, but still encourages them to volunteer to answer his questions.
What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
He gives respect to those around him as long as he receives it in return. He believes in the golden rule 'Treat others the way you'd want to be treated' and he stands by that rule ever since he was teaching in South Korea. He would be extremely nice and supportive to the students, encouraging them with positive, affirmations. Like 'You can do it!' or 'You'll get it next time, don't worry kiddo!'
What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
He's loved music ever since he was little, and enjoyed being in band in high-school when he was. He believes music is a key thing that students should be able to learn in their life, as it can improve their hearing, as instruments tend to be loud and clear. He also believes he can inspire students to possibly take a passion in music, and even a career in it as well. He also has small choir classes he teaches students to improve their voices, in case they have to sing for any drama club acts they might have, or if they just want to take his class for fun!
Roleplay Scenarios
A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
He would slowly and patiently, guide the student step-by-step through the piece of work they are struggling on, giving small positive affirmations while helping, and giving little hints on what they did wrong in their work, but not fully giving them the correct answer. If they are still struggling after classes, he'd suggest for them to take his after-school tutoring.
A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
He would politely ask them to stop, and pay attention to the class. Tell them to raise their hand if spoken without permission, and to save jokes for out of class time. If they continue this behavior, he'd give them detention.
Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
Playing Instruments
He would give the students access to guitars, flutes, and much more instruments, and teach each section depending on what instrument they chosen. He'll take his time teaching each section since he knows each section has a certain difficulty. This would be his first class as teaching multiple sections can be hard doing by himself. Yet he knows he can do it, and is positive he is capable.
Making Fun Random Beats
Vince believes anything can be made into music. Even random taps, beats, snaps, anything. This idea would mostly be about tempo and how to play on time when a certain part needs to be played. He would be extremely patient with the students during this, as playing in time was hard. Even for him when he was in school. He would guide them slowly, even if it takes multiple classes to do so.
