Backstory:

Violet was born on December 4th in the early 2000s to a family of businessmen and women. Her parents had a vision to continue this trend in running their household, and they imposed strict rules that Violet and her older sister Emily had to follow. The sisters were to have at least B’s in their classes and have good standing in popularity. They had a curfew for when they had to be home and when they had to sleep. Their social circles would be scrutinized by their parents as well. Violet learned early on that it was easier not to complain and just follow the rules or else she would get yelled at.

Her two main inspirations are Emily and Granny. Emily was always the star of the family, having good grades and popularity. Rather than be resentful of her sister, Violet always admired her and with her sister’s help, she joined her school’s theatre club. She quickly found that performing was not her kind of thing but loved the crew side of theatre, both backstage and with costuming. Her grandfather died in a car accident when she was ten, and this is when her grandmother, who she calls Granny, moved in with them. Granny was a positive influence on Violet, teaching her how to knit, cook, and garden. Granny also taught her how to play the ukulele and taught her breathing techniques for when she got too nervous.

After Emily chose to pursue a degree in theatre, her parents considered her a disgrace and focused their efforts on Violet as their positive successor. Violet was forced to transition to Karakura, a decision she dreaded but did not have much say in as she feared her parents. Only time will tell as to how well she will adapt to her new environment, but at least she has her grandmother living with her in Japan.
